After two years on air, ITV decided to cancel the Big Brother spin-off show Big Brother: Late and Live. A number of well-known actors have guested to discuss the antics on the main show, but the program has still failed to grab viewers’ attention.

According to reports, ITV producers have now admitted that the ratings are too low to be re-aired when Celebrity Big Brother returns in 2019.

Presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best are credited with giving the series a poor performance, but it is believed that a shift in viewing habits is to blame for this.

Since ITV re-aired Big Brother in 2023, the program has been on the network ever. According to an insider, “Big Brother in general has struggled this year because of the fierce competition from Celebrity Traitors.” Due to the main show not performing as well as anticipated, Late and Live has really struggled.

ITV’s main Big Brother program is not in jeopardy.

They continued, “Over the past few weeks, there have been rumors that the show will be cancelled, and then it became a hot topic on the studio floor during the final week,” they added to The Sun. The show won’t be on again, bosses have quietly told the staff, many of whom are freelancers.

The source continued, “ITV still has no doubts that AJ and Will are the ideal hosts for the show.” No show lasts forever, but they shared, it’s unfortunate. Will and AJ are still beloved by ITV and regarded as the ideal hosts for the main show. Without Late and Live, ITV still prioritizes Big Brother.

We will make plans for the upcoming series of Big Brother, according to an ITV spokesperson. “Big Brother continues to be a popular viewing option thanks to recent success of over 150 million streams on ITV, X.”

Will has been previewed for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special this year. On the BBC One special, he is expected to appear alongside actresses like Jess Wright and The Only Way Essex. Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly’s final appearance as the show’s hosts will be on television.

Instead of AJ and Will (ITV), the poor figures were to blame for viewing habits.

The winner of Big Brother 2025 was revealed last week, and this is good news. A final six housemates, which included latecomers and surprise entrants, made up the total of 17 housemates. The Big Brother finalists for this year were announced as Cameron, Elsa, Emily, Jenny, Richard, and Tate.

Tate came in sixth place, Emily came in fifth, Cameron came in fourth, and Jenny came in third. In order to take the top two spots, Richard and Elsa had to compete for them. Richard, the group’s emotional hero, declared, “This experience has been without a doubt the most absurd, crazy, madcap, incredible, and extraordinary thing I have ever done.

“It’s been wonderful to meet all of you, it’s been a magnificent, magnificent ride, and I wouldn’t have had it otherwise.” So, “Here’s to you, it’s been great”!
