Singer Beyoncé has kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour, two years after her hugely successful Renaissance World Tour. However, it seems that this time, the 43-year-old is struggling to sell her tickets as fans have begun to see empty seats and areas of the stadium covered with blankets – and they know why.

A household name, Beyoncé is undoubtedly one of the most streamed and popular musicians. The singer has a staggering net worth of $800million (which converts to £600million), as reported by Forbes in 2023.

Her latest album, Cowboy Carter, is taking her on a 32-city run across the US and Europe, visiting Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey, London, Paris, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, and Las Vegas. Surprisingly, the city with the most dates is London, with a total of six shows.

Nonetheless, despite her fame and staggering net worth, clips from fans revealed a lot of empty seats despite its anticipation and the success of her previous tours. Pictures and videos made rounds on social media, showing empty seats. The news came as a shock, since her previous Renaissance World Tour brought in £388,560 million, making it the highest-grossing tour by a Black artist.

The empty seats for the Cowboy Carter tour comes in stark comparison to her previous world tour. As Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour dates sold out within minutes of going on sale. With various reports revealed that over 400,000 fans were in the queue for the pre-sale tickets for the UK leg of her tour.

Beyoncé made the tour announcement in February 2025. Fans, however, expressed their ire and annoyance over the prohibitive prices, some of which ran into the thousands. The low attendance is now established by the fans as a result.

SoFi Stadium has a capacity of 70,000 people. Surprisingly, days before, ticket prices dropped significantly for her shows on May 1, 4, 7, and 9, due to the amount of seats still available. With an initial price reaching thousands of dollars, they were being sold at £40 ($54) on Ticketmaster.

Another person described the first night spent in Inglewood as “Cowboy Carter tour” more like an empty tour. Fourthly, it was written as “Watching the]timeline] complain about Beyoncé ticket prices a few months ago and then checking Ticketmaster to see them at $45 now.”
