Jack Grealish rushed over an advertising hoarding and made his way toward Everton’s cheering supporters moments after the final whistle whistle at Molineux.
Grealish was yelled at like a rock star, and screamers erupted to applaud the player, who had just added two more assists to once more propel his new team to victory.
He must have forgotten about the similar circumstances he experienced last season while sat on Manchester City’s bench.
Since joining Everton on a season-long loan, Grealish has transformed from a forgotten man to a main man in double quick succession.
He added another man-of-the-match performance to Everton’s 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers after scoring twice in the 2-0 victory over Brighton last weekend.
Toffees have scored two or more goals in consecutive Premier League appearances for the first time under that name.
Since Thomas Tuchel took over at the beginning of the year, Grealish has not played for England. He is missing from his most recent squad for World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, which will be played at his former club Aston Villa.
England manager Tuchel on Friday addressed questions about why the two players were not included in the list, stating, “There’s no doubt I am a big fan of Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and Jack Grealish.
“Big personalities and big players are always present.” Although I am aware that both of us are desperate, we chose Reece James and Tino Livramento and Rashy [Marcus Rashford] and Ebs [Eberechi Eze] in Jack’s shoes. There is a winner.

He needs some love and care, he says.
Last season, Grealish only started seven Premier League games.
After appearing in two of his new team’s first three games, he appears to be a player who has resurrected wearing Everton’s blue.
While he had 60 touches, 35 passes, and a passing accuracy of 91.4%, Jose Sa denied him a goal in addition to two assists in an action-packed performance against Wolves.
On his return to the West Midlands, the former Villa player also netted seven free kicks for his side.
Everton manager David Moyes commented, “He is even better than I thought.”
He probably needs some love and care. He also requires games.
He should start putting more pressure on himself as the season progresses, and he will do so even better.
He is significantly impacting society. whether it is his assistance, his presence, or many other things.
So, to him, all credit. He has the minutes he might not have in a while.
He is excellent, you know. What Jack gives us is a level of creativity that, hopefully, will lead to goals.
When asked about his recent improvement, Moyes responded, “It’s all about Jack and his own mentality being better. It’s not anything to do with me.
I’m certain that there is a small piece to support our commonality. You have something to strive for in life, in my opinion.

Grealish calls himself “a maverick.”
Grealish contributed two assists overall to Manchester City during his previous two Premier League campaigns that were otherwise unpopular.
He already has four games in the new year.
Moyes demanded that the club hire “elite players” to match their “elite new stadium” at the beginning of the summer.
Grealish’s arrival has more than fulfilled that requirement.
He heavily contributed to the move for Iliman Ndiaye’s goal, which gave Everton a 2-1 lead over Wolves, as well as his four assists in the previous two games.
The 29-year-old is already flourishing under Moyes, making Everton’s attack’ focal point.
Even though Grealish played more than 1, 000 minutes less than Dwight McNeil in the first half of last season, his four assists total for Everton players in 2025-26 are already the second-most since the start of the season.
“We frequently discuss the team’s lack of mavericks.” Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock remarked to BBC Sport that Jack Grealish is a “maverick player” who can work hard for the team.
Because he was battling for everything, “he has that side in him as well,” the home fans were upbeat last week at the new stadium.
Danny Murphy, a former midfielder for Liverpool, Tottenham, and Fulham, added on BBC Match of the Day: “The forward line was creative and brave. The fans of Everton must be enthralled, not just Jack.
Grealish, who left Aston Villa for City in 2021 for a record sum of money, was getting ready to play for his nation at this time last year.
When Lee Carsley became interim manager, he scored the second goal in Dublin’s 2-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland.
He has only made two Three Lions appearances since then.
