After having a portion of his lung removed, Barry Manilow has received a health update from his hospital bed.
The 82-year-old singer revealed last month that he was scheduled to have extensive surgery after being found to have a “cancerous spot.”
Barry revealed in the caption that he was “better today” to give fans a glimpse of his recovery.
Melanie Taylor, one of his tour singers, was one of the commenters on the post. She stated, “That’s my boss, y’all! He is surviving the rain! Love you, B ! emojis for prayer
After canceling a number of concerts, the Copacabana hitmaker revealed he had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
As many of you may be aware, Barry explained in a post on Instagram that “I recently went through six weeks of bronchitis, followed by a relapse of another five weeks.
My wonderful doctor ordered an MRI to check that everything was alright even though I had recovered from the bronchitis and was back on stage at Westgate Las Vegas.
My left lung has a cancerous spot that needs to be removed, according to the MRI. That [it] was discovered so early is pure luck (a great doctor). That is encouraging.
The bad news is that I’m going to surgery to have the spit]sic removed now that the Christmas Gift of Love concerts are over.

Barry explained that since the operation is not likely to have spread the cancer, he is unlikely to need chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
He continued, “I’m taking tests to confirm their diagnosis, and the doctors do not believe it has spread.” That’s it, then. No chemo . No radiation . I Love Lucy reruns are just chicken soup and.
Due to Barry’s recovery from the operation, he had to postpone his January US appearances.
