Barred from Eurovision, Russia holds its own rival song contest

Russia, which was barred from Eurovision, held its own competition for songs called “Intervision,” which featured artists from 23 nations. Ukraine criticized the event as “hostile propaganda,” while Russia described it as a showcase of “family values.”
