The Department of State Services (DSS) office is located along the Nigerian Television Authority in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, and nominees to the Awujale stool are being asked to report themselves.
This was stated in a letter and a statement sent by the Secretary to the Ayotunde Ola-Odulaja kingmakers.
Some of the nominees’ invitations include a proper security check of the contenders for the coveted Awujale seat and a prohibition against those with questionable character from getting their way into the nominations.
The meet-and-greet that was originally scheduled for this morning at the Aafin Awujale has been postponed, in our official letter. According to the letter, “The Awujale nominees are hereby directed to report to the State Security Service (SSS), Along NTA Road, Beside the State Psychiatric Hospital, Off Igbeba Road, Ijebu-Ode,” the letter read.

Time: 11: 00 a. m. prompt.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change might cause.”
Please make sure all nominees involved follow this directive strictly and are punctual, the statement said.
This comes after the Ijebu Ode Local Government Area’s chairman, Dare Alebiosu, halted the process that was putting the final selection process in motion.
The directive was issued in response to alleged receipt of petitions, security reports, and complaints from concerned individuals, with all claiming that the selection process involved irregularities and inducement.
The Awujale Kingmakers’ Council received a letter dated January 20, 2026, which the Secretary to the Local Government Chairman, Oke Adebanjo, signed.
