Robbie Savage, manager of Rovers of Forest Green, says more needs to be done to address the “vile abuse” his opposition fans have received.
The former Wales midfielder claims abuse that “crossed the line” caused him to lose to Carlisle United on Saturday after his side lost to Carlisle United 4-2.
After the loss, Savage told BBC Radio Gloucestershire, “I’ll take the banter, and when they’re singing songs about me as an individual I’ve got no problem.”
What is done about it when it crosses the line, when it becomes nasty, and when some of the things are said to be incorrect?

After quitting his game, Savage became a feared pundit after playing for clubs like Leicester City and Derby County.
He is known for polarizing his audience and continues to host the 606 phone-in show on BBC Radio 5 Live while he is in charge of Rovers.
Savage, who turned 51 on Saturday, claims that not enough is done when abusers overreact in a personal way.
Stewards, volunteers, anyone else standing there, it’s still permitted to happen consistently, he continued.
I’m not interested in banter. I’ve had photos with kids and young people there, and I’m prepared to stand there and endure the most shocking abuse from people of all ages, most likely in powerful positions at work.
“They believe it’s acceptable to come in and hurl hateful abuse at a person; it’s not acceptable, but nothing will be done about it.”
It occurs frequently, as it did recently at Worthing, and it continues to do today.

BBC News viewers were left baffled following a special tribute to Lady Annabel Goldsmith. The English socialite, author, and political activist died tragically at the age of 91 on October 18, which has left many people devastated.
However, some viewers pointed out a major blunder during the tribute. The broadcaster, marking her passing, appeared to display the dates “2034–2025” rather than the correct birth year of 1934. The mistake was shared by X user Scott Bryan, who joked, “BBC News accidentally implying that Lady Annabel Goldsmith travelled through time.”
Another user quipped, “Weeping Angels are real!” – a reference to the time-travelling stone creatures from Doctor Who who send people into the past.
Apparently, Lady Annabel Goldsmith passed away peacefully while she was asleep. Her son, Zac Goldsmith, paid tribute in The Times, calling her “quite simply irreplaceable” and describing her life as “extraordinary and complete.”
We are bereft, not for her because of the enormous hole in our lives she leaves behind, but for us because of her extraordinary and complete life.
She has been with me daily for 45 years. We were truly in love, and she had my back. She will be sorely missed.
She became Lady Annabel at the age of 15 after being the daughter of the 8th Marquess of Londonderry and Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart. She wed 19-year-old Mark Birley, who later established the renowned Mayfair nightclub Annabel’s in her name in 1963, which is still one of London’s most glamorous venues.
The club was frequented by the elite, including Diana, Princess of Wales, who held her hen party there. She and Birley had three children, including Rupert, who was lost at sea in 1986, and Robin, who was mauled by a tiger as a child.
She wed Sir James Goldsmith, the man who founded the Referendum Party after their breakup, and she wed him. He was described as “the most dynamic, charismatic, and irresistible man I had ever met.”
Lady Annabel was also an author, penning a 2004 memoir. Despite her aristocratic background, she once told The Guardian, “Give me dogs, give me children, give me books and I’ll be happy.”
Five of her six children, including former MP Zac Goldsmith and film producer Jemima Goldsmith, are still with her. Her family claim to be deeply saddened by her passing.
She also previously revealed the last words that her friend Princess Diana said to her before her fatal car crash in Paris. Recalling the final conversation, Lady Annabel revealed in 2007 Diana said she needed marriage to Dodi Fayed “like a rash on my face” days before her death.
It had been sprayed all over the papers, Lady Annabel told a Diana and Dodi death in a report from The Guardian. You are not going to do anything silly, are you? I told her in a laughable manner.
She said, “I would need marriage like a rash on my face, and I meant you weren’t going to do anything stupid like eloping and getting married.” It expressed very Dianaly.
Piers Morgan’s public brawl with Jeremy Clarkson at the 2004 Press Awards ended in him with a scar on his forehead, and now he can reveal it.

At the Press Awards in 2004, Jeremy Clarkson and Piers Morgan engaged in physical fight.
The long running feud between Piers Morgan and Jeremy Clarkson remains one of the most legendary fall-outs within the world of showbiz, especially as it ended up in a physical brawl at the Press Awards in 2004. And now for the first time, Piers, 60, has lifted the lid on his altercation with the former Top Gear host that left him with a permanent reminder on his forehead.
The two presenters sworn enemies for 10 years, constantly throwing shade at one another and fists at one stage. Jeremy, 65, punched Piers in the head at the Press Awards after the ex Mirror editor published photos of him “in a compromising position with someone who wasn’t the then Mrs Clarkson”, according to Piers.
On the final Concorde flight a year later, Jeremy even tipped a glass of water in Piers’ lap. As we walked down the aircraft steps, I said to the journalists, “Look, the idiot has wet himself,” Jeremy said to the press at the time.
Now, Piers has opened up about how he buried the hatchet with Jeremy. He told the The Times that he used to criticise England cricketers and Arsenal footballers all the time in “intemperate, passionate” outbursts but since speaking to some of them, heard how upset they were.
“But probably the catalyst for my new evolved ability to settle scores, rather than wage feuds, was actually Jeremy Clarkson,” he added.
He then went on to explain how they ended their physical conflict, which left Piers and Jeremy both with battle wounds. While Jeremy broke his finger, Piers eventually left with a scar on his forehead.
We got into a fight for ten years, according to Piers, adding, “It all started like the Wild West.” Terrible neglect He then texted me. Morgan . Clarkson is present. Drink? ‘ So we arrived at this pub. The entire neighborhood was like, holy f***, it’s going to start. But we basically agreed that we wouldn’t be our best friends, but we sort of contended not to punch one another.
Their legendary breakup occurred when Piers, who was editing the Mirror at the time, discovered and published images of Jeremy with a different woman, not his wife.
The former journalist later told Jeremy to stop reading the photos before pleading with Piers to stop publishing them in 2002, leaving Jeremy fuming. And as a result, both sides engaged in verbal abuse for years.
On the final ever commercial Concorde flight, the pair were seated next to each other when Jeremy felt uncontrollable and poured water all over Piers.

Speaking about the incident on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Jeremy admitted: “I was on its last commercial flight they sat me next to the lavatory, or Piers Morgan as you know him. I poured a glass of water over his crotch, so when he got off, it looked like he’d wet himself.”
It’s thought that Piers said, “My three-year-old hits me harder than that,” in an attempt to demonize Jeremy following their public fist fight.

A “major milestone” that Pakistan claims will help achieve national goals, including urban planning, has been reached by Pakistan’s first ever hyperspectral satellite into orbit.
The H1 satellite’s “successful launch” took place on Sunday at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, according to the nation’s space agency SUPARCO.

Special applications for monitoring crop quality, water resources, or damage caused by natural disasters can be made possible by hyperspectral satellites, which are particularly useful for detecting subtle chemical or material changes in the environment.
According to the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the technology “significantly increases national capacities” in fields like urban planning, environmental monitoring, precision farming, and disaster management.
It added that the country’s ability to identify geohazard risks will be a factor in development initiatives like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which aims to create an infrastructure link between Pakistan’s Gwadar Port and the northwestern province of Xinjiang.

According to SUPARCO chairman Muhammad Yousuf Khan, “the data from the Hyperspectral Satellite is poised to revolutionize agricultural productivity, boost climate resilience, and enable optimized management of the country’s vital natural resources.”
“Pivotal step”
Pakistan also praised the H1 deployment as a “pivotal step forward” in its space program as well as a testament to its long-standing partnership with China in “peaceful exploration of space.”
The Foreign Ministry stated that the mission reflects the ever-increasing strategic partnership and deep-rooted friendship between the two countries, which continue to work together to advance peaceful space exploration and harness its benefits for socioeconomic development.
According to SUPARCO, the mission is a result of Pakistan’s recent efforts to expand its space program, which has already launched three satellites into orbit this year.
The other two satellites, EO-1 and KS-1, are “fully operational in orbit,” according to Pakistan’s The News International newspaper.
Despite a Federal High Court’s ban on demonstrations near important government locations in Abuja, human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has vowed to carry out the planned #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest.
Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB leader, has been in custody since his extradition from Kenya in 2021, and is facing terrorism charges, and the protest is scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2025.
The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, according to an X post, stated that his 115 legal representatives would challenge any alleged court order that had been served and that the protest would continue to be peaceful, legal, and orderly.
The moment we are served on Monday, our legal team will challenge any alleged court order. Let’s be clear, however, that nothing can stop this mass movement.
The sacrosanctity of “October 20 #FreeNnamdiKanuNow.” We march peacefully, legally, and decisively, he continued.

Prior to this, the Nigeria Police Force had earlier issued a warning to all protest groups that were required to follow a persistent court order that forbids gatherings close to sensitive locations, including Aso Rock Villa, the National Assembly, Force Headquarters, Eagle Square, and Shehu Shagari Way.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria v. Omoyele Sowore and four others were ordered by Justice M. Umar of the Federal High Court, Abuja, according to a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.
The statement read, “The Order restrains the respondents and any other persons or groups acting on their instructions from staging protests within and around Aso Rock Villa and its environs.”
Hundeyin argued that while the police upheld citizens’ right to peaceful assembly, they had to “use them responsibly and within the law’s parameters.”
He stated that the Force would maintain public order and security and that it would prosecute those who violated the law or used incitement.
“Double Standards”
Omoyele Sowore, the AAC’s presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, is in photo.
Sowore claimed that when enforcing protest rights across the country, the police used double standards.
He expressed his satisfaction that the Nigerian Police have finally shown some respect for the constitutional right to assembly.
He questioned why the same police force had not sought a similar court order for several days prior to requesting a similar ruling against groups that had protested Nnamdi Kanu’s release.
“Suppose a court order exists to halt protests in the Aso Rock Villa neighborhood. In that situation, it becomes clear why the same police force did not issue a similar order for those who freely protested for three days in a row against Nnamdi Kanu’s release. “Sowed asked,”
He described the situation as “glaring hypocrisy” and “undeniable double standards.”
Hundeyin claimed that the FCT Commissioner of Police has been given instructions from the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to ensure strict enforcement of the court order and maintain visible deployments across the capital’s troubled areas.
The Force warned against hostile public order-related protests or counterprotesters, citing the need for punitive measures for offenders.
