Tom Holland ‘ruled out as next James Bond’ as new 007 storyline details emerge

Tom Holland, who was reportedly in the running to play James Bond, is reportedly unable to do so as a result of rumors that he has contract obligations with Marvel.

Spiderman actor Tom Holland is reportedly out of the running to play the next James Bond due to contractual obligations with Marvel.

Tom, who was a top contender in the past, is now withdrawn, according to a source who claimed Tom cannot accept a position that will overshadow his commitments to the Marvel Universe’s Spider-Man.

Anthony Boyle, one of the frontrunners for the role, is rumored to be one of the big ones, but other well-known actors include Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Harris Dickinson, and Jacob Elord.

While the role of 007 is yet to be decided, Tom, 29, has reportedly signed a contract with Marvel, which will stop him from taking on the role. A source revealed: “Tom can’t play two superheroes, it just won’t happen.”

“This is the first Bond of the AI era and the plot is going to reflect that. Writers are going to have some fun. This next Bond movie has to feel bold, fresh and relevant, especially after such a long break,” they told The Sun.

The Mirror has contacted Tom Holland’s representatives for a comment.

A new name was recently added to the mix as fans eagerly awaited the confirmation of who will play the iconic James Bond role in the upcoming installment of the franchise.

The bookies at Ladbrokes sent House of Guinness star Anthony straight in at 10/1 in the odds earlier this month. It comes as the star was named as the Netflix drama series’s “secret weapon” and landed rave reviews for his performance.

Since Daniel Craig last hung up his Walther PPK, there has been debate over who will take the part and don the iconic tuxedo as James Bond.

Production for the 26th James Bond film, which will be the 26th, is scheduled for April at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.

Steven Knight, the director who reportedly is headed the search for the next James Bond, is in charge of the plot, and Denis Villeneuve is the director.

The actor, who was first portrayed by Ian Fleming in his 1953 spy series, rose to fame in the 1960s with the film’s silver screen success. Numerous Hollywood stars have since been portrayed as the aloof secret agent.

The role has also been a privilege for Pierce Brosnan, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Sean Connery.

Sharon Osbourne suffers another loss weeks after Ozzy’s death

Sharon Osbourne is once more in mourning. The actress revealed on Instagram that her dog, “darling boy,” Elvis had passed away after 14 years of dating.

Her rockstar husband Ozzy Osbourne passed away in July of this year, just months after her. Sharon posted images of herself with Elvis the dog, saying, “I can’t believe I’m posting this because my sweetheart died this week. He gave me 14 priceless years. He remained with me until the very end. My sweet boy, rest in peace”!

Sharon shared four images of her dog, a pomsky, a hybrid of pomanderan dogs and Siberian huskies, in Sharon’s post. In the first picture, Sharon is adoring Elvis as he raises his paws in awe of the table.

As she appears on a talk show, he is next to her in a special dog bed in the second. The final two episodes feature Elvis and Ozzy, with Elvis first performing the late Black Sabbath frontman as he laughs before lying on his chest.

Fans jumped up in the comments to express their condolences to Sharon. One person expressed regret for your loss, “Oh no.” He and Ozzy are currently together, and they will both continue to watch you.

Another person wrote, “This poor woman has been through it all recently.” While another said, “Ozzy needed a little bit of you with him,” I’m so sorry for your loss, xxx.

Ozzy’s marriage to Sharon ended in July 1982, leaving her with him. Kelly, Aimee, and Jack were the trio’s three children. Her son, Jack, admitted his mother is “not okay” recently, even though the former X Factor judge has taken a step back from public life to grieve.

This comes just days after her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, passed away.

She is simply attempting to figure out where to go next, how to navigate, what’s the new standard, baseline, and “What do I do without my person?” he gave, ” However, she is surrounded by a lot of love and support.

Kelly has also discussed the grief of her mother. The most heartbreaking aspect of this whole situation is, in my opinion, what is happening to my mother. And it’s really, really difficult for me to watch the man she loves most in this world.

Ozzy claimed that his wife was the cause of his long life before he passed away. He claimed that he would not have been as successful as he was if he hadn’t had her.

“I wouldn’t be here right now if it weren’t for Sharon Osbourne,” she said. Without a doubt, I wouldn’t be as successful as I am. Without it, I wouldn’t be sober. Without a doubt, I would be six feet under.

Because I didn’t consume any more alcohol or drugs than any of them, there must have been something wrong with everyone I used to do it with. I only had my Sharon with me.

ICC Women’s World Cup, Indore

England 288-8 (50 overs): Knight 109 (91); Deepti 4-51

India 284-6 (50 overs): Mandhana 88 (94); Sciver-Brunt 2-47

England won by four runs

England booked their place in the semi-finals of the Women’s World Cup with a thrilling four-run win over co-hosts India in Indore.

Set 289 to win, India were cruising at 234-3 with opener Smriti Mandhana well-placed on 88.

But the opener’s soft dismissal, caught down the ground off spinner Linsey Smith in the 42nd over, was the turning point as the co-hosts completely threw away their winning position.

The run-rate climbed and although Deepti Sharma’s gritty half-century kept India hopes alive, the middle order buckled under the pressure and with 14 needed from the last over, Smith held her nerve with India finishing on 284-6.

England’s 288-8 was set up by former captain Heather Knight’s masterful 86-ball century, after they started cautiously, reaching 44-0 off the powerplay but crucially kept wickets in hand.

Tammy Beaumont was again scratchy for 22 from 43 balls but Amy Jones found valuable form with her 56, before Knight and Nat Sciver-Brunt set a platform with a fluent stand of 113.

Knight was the aggressor, whacking 15 fours and a six in her third one-day international century, and they put England in a brilliant position at 211-3 with just over 11 overs to go before Sciver-Brunt fell for 38.

England looked to be a few runs short, however, as they could not capitalise on the partnership with another middle-order wobble, losing three wickets for eight runs in the space of 12 balls.

Sophia Dunkley, Emma Lamb and Alice Capsey all fell cheaply to spin again, which looked like it might be costly once Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur started to cruise through the middle overs, notching a similarly flawless partnership of 125 which had a raucous crowd roaring for every run.

Knight’s class shines again

Knight continued her impressive return from injury, having notched a match-winning 76 against Bangladesh earlier in the tournament, with one of her finest ODI innings.

Finally, she had assistance from the openers. Beaumont’s form remains a concern but she and Jones negotiated the new-ball threat of returning seamer Renuka Singh Thakur to reach 73-0 before the former was bowled attempting a sweep off the indefatigable Deepti, and Jones was frustratingly caught at mid-wicket to unite Sciver-Brunt with her predecessor.

Coach Charlotte Edwards has changed England’s ODI approach to a more conventional gameplan compared to the aggression under Jon Lewis and this was its perfect blueprint, executed by the two most experienced players.

Knight was busy at the crease from the outset, rotating the strike constantly by using her feet to great effect against the spinners and manipulating the field to score all around the ground, while Sciver-Brunt played an uncharacteristic supporting role before she was excellently caught by a one-handed Harmanpreet at cover to spark a problematic flurry of middle order wickets, which – despite England’s eventually match-winning total – is becoming a worrying trend.

Knight was blameless in being run out trying to push things on, undone coming back for a second by Amanjot Kaur’s bullet throw from the boundary, before Dunkley was caught at long-off for 15, Capsey was caught reverse-sweeping for two and Lamb continued to look out of place at six as she fell for 11.

‘Everyone had brilliant plans and executed brilliantly’ – what they said

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt speaking at the post-match presentation: “I’m so so happy. Everyone showed how calm they were and clear in what they do. We knew in the bowling innings we needed to stick in.

“It’s something we’ve spoken about before the game [that] we haven’t been tested towards the end of our innings with the ball. We wanted to be prepared with our skills and tactics. Everyone had brilliant plans and executed brilliantly.”

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur speaking at the post-match presentation: “Smriti Mandhana’s wicket was a turning point for us. We had many batters who can bat, I don’t know how the game went the other way, but credit to England.

“We are playing good cricket, we are not giving up, that last line we need to cross now, in the last three games we’ve played good cricket but not crossed that line.”

Player of the match Heather Knight: “I’m really pleased, it was nice to get conditions that felt conducive to batting. I got myself in and then put the accelerator down. I felt we needed 300 on that pitch.

I’m A Celebrity icon says show ‘made him look like such a bad person’

A former star of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has opened up about their time on the show confessing that they feel like they were made to look like a ‘bad person’

Former professional boxer Amir Khan has suggested that he was made to look like the “bad guy” during his appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. He opened up about his famous scene where he and Iain Lee were both appearing on the show in 2017.

The duo were seen wolfing down a portion of strawberries and cream and not sharing them with their hunger-stricken campmates at the time. The sportsman has no insisted he never intended for the decision to eat the dish to cause drama in the camp.

He said: “At the time, when I ate them, I thought, yeah, I’m having them. I didn’t know the cameras were rolling, and that people back home were going to be watching.”

Speaking to the Daily Star, he continued, “See, this is the thing, I didn’t realise how big of a show I’m a Celebrity was. I’d never watched it before. I didn’t know how the system worked.

“But when I re-watched what I did, the way it was edited made me look like such a bad person, like I was doing it on purpose to upset everyone in camp. But honestly, I was just being silly, a bit boisterous. That’s just who I am.”

As he recalled the moment in a further reflection, Amir admitted it was controversial. He said: “Looking back, it made me look bad. But would I do it again? I probably would. Yeah, why not? But this time, I’d tell them straight: ‘Yeah, I ate them, what are you going to do about it?’

“I remember there was Jamie Lomas, Georgia Toffolo, and even Stanley Johnson, Boris Johnson ’s dad. Even if I did say I ate them, I don’t think they could’ve done anything anyway.”

Now as I’m A Celeb: All Stars is set to make a comeback, Amir has shared how he feels about doing the show twice. He said, “The first one is always harder. You’re not expecting how intense, how crazy it’s going to be.

“You’re suddenly stuck with snakes and spiders, you just can’t imagine they’d do something like that to you. The second time, it’s easier because you know what to expect.”

He also shared how the first experience was more nerve wracking, but helped him to become braver. He noted that he feels the situation could be the same for fellow former boxer David Haye, who is taking part in the upcoming series of All Stars.

Article continues below

Amir said: “If an animal bites you, you’ve got a first aid team to make sure you’re alright. I still took that leap even though I was scared, and it pulled me through. So, I think with David Haye going in again, he’s going to smash it. He’ll do much better than the first time because he knows what to expect.”
