It resembles Never Fully Dressed’s viral mini-version, which dominated last year’s festive feeds, strikingly similar to its sculpted fit and oversized velvet bow detail. In light of the investigation the BBC has begun into Kaye Adams’ “bullying,” Carol McGiffin has defended her as the “epitome of professionalism.”

Carol McGiffin has stepped up to defend Kaye Adams after her former Loose Women co-star was accused of bullying(Image: ITV)
A Loose Women star has spoken out in defence of her long-time friend Kaye Adams after the BBC presenter was suspended from her radio show amid a bullying investigation.
In October, it was reported that Kaye, 62, had been taken off air from her BBC Radio Scotland programme Mornings with Kaye Adams while the corporation conducted an internal inquiry into allegations made under its Call It Out scheme.
She last ran her show on October 6 and hasn’t been on air since. The broadcaster allegedly “shouted and screamed” at junior colleagues, it was claimed. These accusations are vehemently refuted by her.
Kaye described the ordeal as “the most distressing weeks of my professional life,” adding that BBC Scotland had “still not provided me with any details of the allegations that have been made against me.” In a statement to the Mail on Sunday earlier this month, Kaye stated that the allegations had been made against me.
Since being suspended, the veteran broadcaster, who makes around £155, 000 annually from her three-hour phone-in show, has received “inundated messages of support.” She said, “I want to thank them with all of my heart.”
Among those standing by her is Carol McGiffin, who has now publicly defended her friend of more than two decades. Writing in her Best magazine column, the outspoken TV personality insisted: “I’ve known Kaye Adams for around 25 years. I started working with her in 2000, and even when we weren’t working together, we always stayed in contact.
She is a friend, and I have a lot of experience with her. One of the best presenters I’ve ever worked with is the epitome of professionalism. Imagine my shock to learn that she has been suspended from her acclaimed BBC Scotland morning radio program.
Carol, 65, continued, “Kaye has never behaved that way, despite the many times she’s seen television stars treat staff members badly.”
She acknowledged that some TV “stars” can be pretty abominable. They frequently treat their employees infatigably, but I’ve seen many of them do so firsthand. Kaye is undoubtedly not one of them, despite the fact that I wish I could name names.
Carol acknowledged, however, that Carol’s friend’s charismatic personality occasionally turned things off. Carol described her as fiercely intelligent, persistent, and perfectionist.
She continued, “She doesn’t like to be wrong, which she occasionally is, even though she’d never admit it,” adding: “… Yes, she can be annoying occasionally, but never a bully.
Carol also revealed that despite the pair often clashing on topics like “ Donald Trump, Brexit, climate change [and] Russia v Ukraine,” they have never fallen out.
“Not even when, as anchor on Loose Women, if she was losing the argument in a debate (especially to me), she would always make sure she got the last word!” Carol joked.
The specifics of the case have not been provided by the BBC. We would not comment on any particular case, according to a spokesperson. We have effective internal controls in place to handle complaints or concerns if they are raised.

Kaye, who has worked for BBC Scotland since 2010 and is a regular Loose Women member, claimed earlier this month that her name has been “dragged through the mud,” but she is hopeful that once the investigation is finished, her reputation will be restored.

Michael McIntyre has admitted to attacking his noisy neighbors with a hilariously passive-aggressive tactic. The 49-year-old comic, who owns a £10 million home in Hampstead, north of London, discovered that some of his neighbors had been stifling his tranquility by playing loud music.
Michael chose to try a more subdued method of obtaining his peace and quiet rather than confronting them directly. while addressing fans at a Soho Theatre warm-up performance for his upcoming Hello America! The Michael McIntyre’s Big Show star admitted: “I have had a little thing with them [neighbours] already when they played very loud music in the garden and I did not want to complain. Just to f*** them off, I played the same song at a slightly different time. It’s a wise decision.
“This is what British people do,” Michael continued. They will make an effort to avoid confrontation when dealing with s***. The audience laughed out loud at the revelation.

The funnyman, who is best known for The Wheel and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, has been busy making preparations for his US tour while also focusing on his weight.
After being told by doctors that his 15st 10lbs frame placed him in the “obese” category, Michael made the revelation that he had started taking the weight-loss drug Mounjaro.
Have you ever noticed how tiny I am, he asked during one of his London shows? I’ve shed some pounds. Don’t applaud it because there has been some slight cheating going on. I was told I weighed 100 kg by the doctor. He described me as “obese.” How unkind. He said, “It’s a medical term.”
The comedian started using Mounjaro, a food suppressant originally developed for people with diabetes, after receiving some encouragement from his wife Kitty.
Tizépatide, a medical term for blood sugar, helps regulate blood sugar levels and promotes fullness. Michael was delighted to report that he had already seen results in three weeks.
According to reports, his desire to slim down was fueled by his habit of consuming the leftovers that his wife and their two sons, Lucas and Oscar, refused to finish.
Michael has made his first effort to lose weight, but this is not his first. He visited the Mayr Clinic in Austria, where he spent about £4,000 per week, where he adhered to a strict detox regimen. The experience, however, wasn’t entirely positive.
We only spent six days there, so I lost a stone. On Jessie Ware’s Table Manners podcast, he recalled how he felt “so emotional, depressed, and confused.” “Paul Tomkinson, his friend,” nearly perished on a hike.
He added that he was frightened to avoid eating apples, saying to The Sun that he had already lost some weight there.

They put little probes on the end of my tongue, told me I shouldn’t eat apples, and they did a week of testing on me. Apples reportedly will cause my brains to become extremely confused and lethargic. Really, that’s the only thing I can take away from it.

Actress Prunella Scales has died just months after her actor husband Timothy West. The Fawlty Towers’ Sybil star died aged 93 following Timothy’s death in November 2024.
Her sons’ statement read, “Our beloved mother Prunella Scales passed away peacefully at home in London yesterday,” and they confirmed it. She was 93.
“Although dementia forced her retirement from a remarkable acting career of nearly 70 years, she continued to live at home. She was watching Fawlty Towers the day before she died.” They added: “She is survived by two sons and one stepdaughter, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. We would like to thank all those who gave Pru such wonderful care at the end of her life: her last days were comfortable, contented and surrounded by love.”

In 1963, Prunella and Timothy wed, and they had two sons, Samuel West, an actor and director, and Juliet, their stepdaughter. Although it’s unknown when they first met, it’s believed Prunella first portrayed Kate Starling in the BBC sitcom Marriage Lines.
Instead of a white wedding dress, Prunella chose a tailored coat, black gloves, and black heels for their very modest wedding in 1963 at Chelsea Registry Office. She added a fur hat to complete her look.
Prunella acknowledged her regrets about not getting married in a church on their 40th wedding anniversary. In front of their children, they made the decision to have a second chance and reaffirm their vows in 2003.
Timothy appeared in EastEnders, Coronation Street, Gentleman Jack, and Dad’s Army. When Prunella claimed that her husband and she would soon become “very depressed” they would become.
Their marriage was their greatest success, despite their success in acting. She told The Times, “I think I’m a very lucky lady. I’m married to a very interesting individual, and I have a strong interest in him.
“So that’s not a problem,” I would be a different person if I married someone I didn’t get along with and had an unhappy marriage. Prunella revealed that her short-term memory was fading in January 2013.
A year later her husband confirmed that she was living with Alzheimer’s disease. The couple appeared together in 10 series of Great Canal Journeys for Channel 4 from 2014 until her Alzheimer’s reportedly progressed to the point where they had to stop in 2020.
The Bradford-born icon, however, claimed that their relationship had not changed since receiving the diagnosis, and that Prunella later said, “I have got to know him better and better and better.”
Timothy continued, “I am aware that things will change a little bit, but it has been a long time and we have managed pretty well overall. We never, in my opinion, ever consider, “Oh no.”
The actress continued, “I have been asked to spend the rest of my life with a person I respect very much, with whom I have many disagreements, and with whom I can disagree quite happily.”
Although Prunella frequently didn’t think about her condition, Timothy claimed that the pair “somehow coped” with the news. Timothy revealed his difficulties with communicating with his wife during a chapter of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
There isn’t much we can say about a concert, play, or movie because Pru will have a fairly hazy memory, he said. She might have enjoyed her evening and will likely discuss the acting, but she is unable to discuss what the play was saying.
However, the couple resisted giving further details, with him saying, “The sad thing is that you just watch the gradual disappearance of the person you knew, loved, and were very close to.” There is still a lot of her left, but we still enjoy life, and Pru and I can do many things together.

It’s manageable if you live it every day. It’s sad when you start thinking about the past and saying, “Oh, what a shame she can’t do that anymore, she doesn’t appreciate that anymore, and we can’t talk about this anymore.”

Because William Osula now appears to be the “complete package,” manager Eddie Howe says it was a “relief” that he didn’t leave Newcastle United on transfer deadline day.
The 22-year-old was on the verge of joining Eintracht Frankfurt, but it failed, causing the transition to fall.
Osula has since made an impact for Newcastle in the Premier League, Carabao Cup, and Champions League, and was key in Bruno Guimaraes’ late winner against Fulham on Saturday.
Osula’s contributions have been welcomed by Howe despite record signing Nick Woltemade’s continued first-choice striker status. Yoane Wissa injured her knee while serving in the DR Congo.
“Obviously, it didn’t happen, and we’re glad to know that it didn’t because Yoane picked up a broken leg and that Will is extremely important.”
We think he has talent. He moves quickly. When he appeared on the pitch the day before, you could see that.
He is quick and athletic, but he has improved his skill and ability to handle game situations as a result of his continued attitude to training.
He has benefited from that, and he appears to be the complete package in the pitch.

Howe said “helping the team is his big wish,” but Osula has been recovering from an ankle injury that has limited his ability to perform finishing drills during training.
He said, “The Will I Know is that great personality with a real zest for life.”
He is constantly joking and laughing. He is well-liked in the dressing room. He certainly has some very close relationships.
He takes his work very seriously, which is what has changed, probably more than it has in the previous year.
