Kylie Jenner remembers late ‘best friend’ as she marks first Met Gala since his death

Kylie Jenner’s late friend and hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, who passed away earlier this year, assisted her in getting ready for previous installments of the annual Met Gala in New York.

Before her first Met Gala without him, Kylie Jenner paid tribute to her late friend Jesus Guerrero.

Kylie Jenner has remembered her friend Jesus Guerrero ahead of attending her first Met Gala since his death. She subtly paid tribute to the late hairstylist on social media before gracing the red carpet of the annual fashion event.

It was announced in February that Jesus – who had worked with a host of celebrity clients in his career – had “suddenly and unexpectedly” died, aged 34. The news was met with tributes at the time, including from people he had worked with like singer Jennifer Lopez and reality TV star Kylie, 27.

The Kardashians star appeared to reflect on her friendship with Jesus in a post on her Instagram Story today ahead of this year’s Met Gala. She’s expected to be among the guests at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York tonight.

In the past, Jesus had collaborated with Kylie on her looks for the famous event, and they both shared moments on the platform. The photo of herself and her friend Jesus, which the entrepreneur didn’t include a caption, was unaccompanied.

The photo depicted her getting ready for the Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion photo from the Met Gala last year. While Jesus was taming her hair, she was seen wearing the off-white gown that she later modeled on the red carpet.

This year marks Kylie’s first Met Gala with Jesus, whom she described as “more” than a friend in a tribute post to him earlier this year following his death. She told fans at the time that she would “cherish” all of their moments together.

In February, Kylie wrote, “Jesus was more than just my friend; he was a light in my life, a source of joy, peace, love, and unwavering support.” Without him by my side, I have no idea how I would have survived the past almost ten years. Even the heaviest days felt lighter thanks to him.

She continued, “Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me up, and for being my friend,” in her post at the time. I can’t imagine moving forward without you because of how much pain you’re going to experience, but I’m aware that great grief only comes from great love. And I adored you so much.

You had unmatched talent, Kylie continued in her message, “You were the best.” a genuine artist. You have and will continue to inspire many. My heart will forever be filled with your words, laughter, kindness, and beautiful spirit.

She said, “I’ll cherish every moment we have together.” every hug and laugh. I’d like to give you another hug. I spent hours talking in my bed, much like you used to. For one more in-depth discussion, I would be happy to offer anything. I’m going to miss you a lot. More than words can express. 222 my angel”.

Her earlier post, which was published two months ago, contained a number of images of her and Jesus. One photo showed Jesus preparing for her hair before the Met Gala last year, which is a photo that Kylie shared today, though it was different.

Jesus had shared information about Kylie’s friendship with Jesus on his own account over the years. He described her as his “muse” in a post that included photos of Kylie wearing an outfit she modeled at a party after the Met Gala in 2023.

Michigan drops charges against pro-Palestine US student protesters

In response to legal issues and controversy surrounding the US case, which she described as a “lightning rod of contention,” Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that she has dropped charges against seven University of Michigan students protesters.

The case, which reportedly began in May 2024, is over, with the decision on Monday putting an end to it. The students, who entered not guilty, were accused of trespassing and resisting a police officer while protesting for Palestinians on a campus. &nbsp,

The student defense team’s member, Jamil Khuja, said, “We feel vindicated that the case was dismissed. “These people have no criminal history,” they say. They were using public property to speak out against their political beliefs.

Nessel defended her decision to file felony charges against the students on Monday, saying “a reasonable jury would find the defendants guilty of the crimes alleged” despite dropping the charges and receiving more and more negative feedback about the case.

Nessel continued, however, in a statement that she had dropped the charges because she did not consider “these cases to be a wise use of my department’s resources.”

Most of the students who were detained right away after Israel’s occupation of Gaza were swept across the country last year during the wave of pro-Palestine campus encampments that swept the country.

Palestinian rights advocates claimed that the Nessel case was an attack on the right to free speech and assembly, and that the case in Michigan became a symbol of the country’s crackdown on pro-Palestine demonstrations.

In response to allegations of bias, the attorney general dismissed the allegations as “baseless and absurd,” the accused’s defense attorneys had filed motions for Nessel to recuse herself from the case.

The attorney general stated in her statement that “these distractions and ongoing delays have given these proceedings a circus-like atmosphere.”

The defense attorney, Khuja, criticized Nessel’s claim that the pretrial proceedings were “circus-like” as untrue, and that the team was “absolutely confident” that the case would succeed, either by judicial dismissal or not-guilty jury verdict.

According to Michigan’s prosecution rules, he claimed it was appropriate to request Nessel’s removal from the case. He further stated that the county should have brought the charges and not the state’s attorney general.

Free speech is being attacked.

The defense lawyer also pointed out that Nessel and Rashida Tlaib, the “only Palestinian in Congress,” clashed weeks prior to the charges for defending the chant “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” which has been used by student protesters, to underline the alleged bias.

Soon after Nessel’s arrest of the students, Tlaib pointed out that there were no other protest movements in the country that faced a similar legal crackdown.

The attorney general responded by blaming Tlaib for being anti-Semitic, despite the congresswoman’s lack of mention of the attorney general’s Jewish or religion.

Rashida should not make it clear that the Attorney General’s position in my religion is unfair. In a social media post from September, Nessel remarked, “It’s wrong and anti-Semitic.”

Nessel’s anti-Semitism accusations against Tlaib were repeated repeatedly by CNN and pro-Israel outlets over the course of weeks.

According to Khuja, the attorney general ultimately hoped to “create a role model for those who are protesting for Palestine.”

He added that the issue spanned more than the involved politicians and students.

The First Amendment applies to all speech, but it has recently been attacked in an effort to discredit Israel, according to Khuja.

Jamie and Rebekah Vardy are reportedly considering a move to America, after Becky is in talks with a huge Netflix show. The Leicester City player – who will be leaving the club at the end of the season is also reportedly wanted by MLS teams.

The 38-year-old recently announced that he would leave the football team at the end of the season after 13 years. The sportsman is currently being chased by US teams, including D. C. United, according to reports.

As well as tempting offers for both, the move could also be a “fresh start” for Becky after the Wagatha Christie drama with Coleen Rooney.

“The US is the most likely next move for the Vardys and is partly because Becky has had interest in TV work there,” a source told The Sun.

“She was in talks with the makers of Selling Sunset earlier this year. They wanted her to appear as the potential buyer of a luxury home there.” The source then went on to say that the talks were delayed earlier this year due to the California wild fires, although it “could still happen”.

However, it’s not only Netflix eyeing the 43-year-old up, as the source continued: “And other networks over there are aware of her because of her high profile through starring on I’m a Celeb and also the Wagatha case.”

However, according to reports, the decision depends on Jamie’s future and the kind of football offers he gets, with many UK clubs interested in him as well.

The Mirror has contacted representatives of Rebekah Vardy for comment.

The WAG’s recent announcement comes after her last-ditch effort to defeat Wagatha Christie rival Coleen Rooney, who last month claimed she was “disappointed” in losing her most recent court fight.

Last month, a High Court ruled that Coleen’s lawyers did not commit misconduct after Vardy’s teams accused them of “deliberately” understating some of her costs in her high-profile libel battle.

Rebekah said she wanted to “move on” from the saga after reacting to the ruling at the time. We are appreciative of the disclosure required in one decision, but we are respectfully disappointed that our appeal was unsuccessful in the other one, according to a Vardy spokesperson. We simply want to move forward and envision the future. At this time, we won’t be commenting.
