Inside Katie Price’s crisis health plan for son Harvey following alarming update

As Katie Price issues a heartbreaking update concerning the health woes of her eldest son Harvey, the Mirror takes a look at the worried mum’s crisis health plan, following a recent alarming weigh in

Katie Price has opened up about Harvey’s most recent health hurdle

Mum-of-five Katie Price has long spoken candidly about the challenges of raising a child with complex health concerns. Now she faces another heartbreaking hurdle.

The former glamour model’s eldest son, Harvey Price, is partially blind, autistic and also lives with the rare genetic disorder, Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS).

Symptoms of PWS include learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, muscle weakness, and an insatiable appetite. The 22-year-old has to contend with constantly feeling hungry, and concerned mum Katie fears his rapid weight gain could take a serious toll on his health.

Taking to Snapchat following a recent worrying weigh-in, Katie, 46, revealed that Harvey is now nearly 30 stone, and is at risk of a heart attack. The OnlyFans creator now hopes that Mounjaro jabs could be Harvey’s ticket to a healthier, happier life.

She shared: “I’m so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg off being 30 stone. It’s so life-threatening now, I’m still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life. ”

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide – a medicine that helps to lower blood sugar. It is primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes, but since December 2024, it has also been approved for treating obesity on the NHS. This drug is currently available within specialist weight management services across England and will be rolled out via GPS for some eligible patients starting in June 2025.

Opening up about some of the additional day-to-day struggles Harvey currently has to deal with, Katie explained: “It’s so sad his quality of life at the moment is where he’s so big, he just can’t really do much. It’s just another thing I have to deal with because he’s at high risk of having a heart attack, he struggles to put on his trainers or struggles to walk anywhere, but I love him and I’m going to help him through this. “

She continued: “So sad, obesity and his condition is sad, it’s sad to see someone go through it, and he doesn’t understand. ”

Back in February, Katie told fans that she had decided to pursue weight loss jabs in a bid to get Harvey’s weight under control. She told The Sun: “The good thing about starting him on the drug is, if it has any effect, you can stop it because you do it weekly.

“We’ve tried food, he’s had dietitians, it’s just the way he is. And he’s on a lot of medication, which the drug won’t affect. They want to try him on it for at least one or two years, which is a long time, but they’ll control what level he needs, then up it as they assess it. ”

Those with PWS can experience ‘an overwhelming and uncontrollable drive to eat’(Image: PA)

CEO of Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK, Jackie Lodge, told the Mirror: “PWS is a rare genetic condition causing an overwhelming and uncontrollable drive to eat that can be life-limiting, as well as learning and physical disabilities. We know that some adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome have been prescribed weight loss medications under close medical supervision, often for diabetes and on an individual basis.

“There is currently no clinical evidence confirming the effectiveness for weight loss for individuals with PWS. These weight loss medications may pose serious health risks for people with PWS due to potential adverse side effects, and treatment would always require close medical supervision.

“These medications are becoming increasingly available and should never be purchased online for people with PWS. The Prader Willi Syndrome Association UK (PWSA UK) can provide advice and information about supporting someone with PWS, including managing diet and clinics for people with PWS. “

Chrissy Teigen reveals son Miles’ heartbreaking reaction to diabetes diagnosis

Model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s six-year-old son, Miles, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last summer after falling ill at summer camp

Chrissy Teigen revealed what her six-year-old son, Miles, asked her after learning of his Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis last summer. The model and TV personality, 39, shares eight-year-old Luna, Miles, Esti, two, and 22-month-old Wren with Ordinary People singer John Legend.

Miles was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last summer after suddenly falling ill at summer camp. The first-grader, who Chrissy said ‘is very active’, was taken to the hospital after getting an intestinal infection but doctors soon discovered Miles also had Type 1 Diabetes – which is a condition where your body cannot make insulin leading to high blood sugar.

In a new interview with People magazine, Chrissy discussed her son’s condition and revealed his reaction to the news. “He asked, ‘Why, why me? How come not Luna? ‘,’ she said.

“And to not have an answer for that is really weird.” She also discussed the lead up to the diagnosis, explaining how he was going to football camp “like he does every summer”.

The TV star continued: “Somehow, during the camp, they all had gotten this infection. And for some reason, it really took Miles down harder than a lot of the other kids.

“His pain was incredible. He ended up in the hospital at Cedars for three full days. It was just, blood test after blood test. I’m not a doctor so I don’t really know what they’re doing. I’m just thinking they’re helping him with this infection that he has. “

However, the doctors started realising ‘something else was up’ with Miles. She and John ‘were thrown into this world of chaos’ as they navigated learning about the condition.

Chrissy explained: “Our whole life is going to be dedicated to learning as much as we can to make sure Miles feels confident with the team he has around him. “

Last year, Chrissy shared a snap of Miles and Luna holding up signs at the Paris Olympics and fans couldn’t help but notice the insulin monitor on his arm.

Alongside the snap she penned: “A lot of you noticed something a little special about a photo I posted a few days ago — Luna, Miles and I celebrating Simone and team USA. Miles had his arm up, and soooo many of you reached out to say the most beautiful and incredible words I have ever witnessed on this platform. “

She went on to reveal: “A couple weeks ago, our Miles was sick, in the hospital, with a terrible case of shigella, an intestinal infection caused by bacteria in food or water. A lot of his friends were also sick with it, as they went to the same camp and well, it happens!

“But the doctors knew something else was off about his blood tests. I’ve learned since then that this is how so many young children end up being diagnosed with type-1 — going to the hospital for something completely different.

“After more testing, we learned he is in the ‘honeymoon period’ of a lifetime of T1. Last night we gave him his first shot of insulin and here we go! A different, new world for us and we are certainly learning so much on the fly. “

Chrissy then concluded: “This post is to thank you so much for your kindness. It helps Miles so much to know so many other people are going through the same thing and he is not alone. “

Israeli report on killing of Palestinian medics in Gaza: What to know

The Israeli army has described its killing of 15 emergency workers in Gaza and burying them and their vehicles as a “professional error”.

The bodies of 14 humanitarian workers were found in a mass grave along with their crushed vehicles a week after coming under Israeli fire in late March. One body had been found a few days before.

The army said  it had “shrouded” the bodies with cloth and sand to protect them until humanitarian organisations could retrieve them.

Israel had blocked access to the site for days, later insisting it was not an attempt to cover up the attack.

Here’s what to know about the attack, Israel’s claims and how the investigation stacks up against other evidence:

What happened to the emergency workers and vehicles in Gaza?

  • March 23: About 4am (01:00 GMT), a Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance was dispatched to join an earlier one helping people injured in an Israeli air strike in Rafah’s al-Hashaashin area.
  • Contact was lost with it, and the first ambulance went back out to find it about 5am. The paramedics radioed back that they could see casualties on the ground on the way to Tal as-Sultan, another area in southern Gaza.
  • Two more ambulances were dispatched along with a firetruck and other emergency vehicles. They came under Israeli gunfire for more than five minutes. Minutes later, soldiers also fired at a United Nations car that stopped at the scene. The PRCS lost contact with its team.
  • March 24: The Israeli military blocked access to the site of the attacks.
  • March 27-28: United Nations and Palestinian officials gain limited access to the area, recovering the vehicles and bodies of a Gaza Civil Defence member.
  • March 30: The bodies of five Civil Defence responders, a UN employee and eight PRCS workers are found in a shallow grave. A ninth PRCS worker, Assaad al-Nassasra, is being held by Israel, PRCS confirmed later. In total, Israel killed 15 emergency workers in the attack.

What did video evidence show?

A video found on the phone of slain paramedic Rifaat Radwan shows the team’s final moments.

The video, filmed from inside one of the last two ambulances to head out, shows a  firetruck and ambulances driving ahead through the night.

All vehicles were clearly identified with emergency lights flashing.

The vehicles stopped when they see an ambulance and bodies by the roadside, and first responders in reflective uniforms exit the vehicles. Moments later, intense gunfire erupts.

As the gunfire continues, Radwan can be heard asking his mother for forgiveness and reciting the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada, before he dies.

What did the Israeli investigation say?

After a review, the Israeli military described the killings as “professional failures” and a “misunderstanding”. Nobody has been charged.

It dismissed a deputy commander for “providing an incomplete report” and reprimanded a commanding officer.

Major General Yoav Har-Even, who conducted the review, said two responders were killed in an initial incident, 12 people were killed in a second shooting and another person was killed in a third incident.

“The fire in the first two incidents resulted from an operational misunderstanding by the troops, who believed they faced a tangible threat from enemy forces. The third incident involved a breach of orders during a combat setting,” the military statement said.

Troops bulldozed over the bodies and their mangled vehicles, but the investigation said that was not an attempt to conceal the attack.

The Military Advocate General’s Corps, meant to be an independent body under Israel’s attorney general and Supreme Court, can now decide whether to file civil charges.

How did Israel explain shooting the ambulances?

The investigative report said soldiers did not recognise the ambulances due to “poor night visibility” and because flashing lights are less visible on night-vision drones and goggles.

It also blamed the now-dismissed deputy commander, saying he mistakenly thought the ambulance was being used by Hamas and opened fire first.

Israel has tried to justify previous attacks on protected entities by saying Hamas hides among civilians and uses ambulances to carry out operations.

Har-Even told reporters that one of the humanitarian workers at the scene was questioned over suspected Hamas links. The man, Munther Abed, was released the next day.

Before the video of the attack was found, Israel’s military had said the ambulances had been “advancing suspiciously” towards its soldiers “without headlights or emergency signals”.

How did Israel explain shooting uniformed medics?

The first responders were “in their uniforms, still wearing gloves” when they were killed, said Jonathan Whittall, the head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the Palestinian territory.

Gaza Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal said several team members were found with their hands and feet bound and bullet wounds to the head and torso, indicating they were executed at close range after being identified as humanitarian workers.

Without offering proof, the Israeli investigative report said six of those killed were “Hamas members” although no Palestinian fighters were reported found in the mass grave.

Har-Even told reporters that no paramedic was armed and no weapons were found in any vehicle.

An Israeli military official said the bodies had been covered “in sand and cloth” to preserve them until their retrieval could be coordinated with international organisations.

The army also said it has found “no evidence to support claims of execution” and “such claims are blood libels and false accusations against [Israeli] soldiers”.

How thoroughly does Israel investigate itself?

Human rights groups and international legal experts said Israel’s self-reviews often lack independence and transparency.

Israel said it reviews its military’s conduct through internal probes led by its military advocate general, who decides whether to pursue criminal investigations.

But the military has a track record of denying wrongdoing, contradicting itself or blaming low-ranking individuals without broader repercussions for the armed forces.

In 2022, it claimed Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was killed by Palestinian fire until several media investigations debunked that. Israel later admitted it may have shot her “accidentally” but ruled out a criminal probe.

In January, the International Criminal Court’s top prosecutor defended seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, citing Israel’s failure to genuinely investigate allegations of war crimes.

How have critics responded?

The PRCS and the Israeli rights organisation Breaking the Silence have rejected the findings of the Israeli probe.

“It is incomprehensible why the occupation soldiers buried the bodies of the paramedics,” PRCS President Younis al-Khatib told Al Araby TV.

Katie Price shares Harvey’s ‘sad’ Peter Andre wish before tragic health update

When Peter Andre tied the knot with Katie Price, he vowed to be a father figure to Harvey and even tried to adopt him, much to the fury of his biological dad Dwight Yorke

Harvey Price will always hold a special place in Peter Andre’s heart. The Australian singer first met Katie Price in 2004 when they both starred on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Their whirlwind jungle romance quickly blossomed into a real-life love story, with the pair marrying less than a year later.

At the time, Katie was already mum to Harvey — her son with footballer Dwight Yorke — before she and Peter welcomed two more children together, Junior and Princess. There was even talk of Peter adopting Harvey, a move that reportedly upset Dwight.

Reflecting on those early years in a recent interview, Peter spoke fondly about family life, recalling the chaos of “changing six sets of nappies,” a nod to his hands-on role during Harvey’s younger days.

When Peter married Katie in 2005, he vowed to be the dad that Harvey didn’t have. In 2009, he told the Daily Mail: “I have been a real father of Harvey and he calls me Daddy. I guess that sticks in Dwight’s throat.” As the years passed, Peter would post happy birthday messages for Harvey online, writing on his 15th birthday on Twitter: “Happy birthday to a very special boy. Hope you like your prezzies.”

After he separated from Katie, Pete shared how their special bond continued and said he would always have love for Harvey. He wrote in his New! magazine column in 2017: “There have been a few times recently where he’s been to my house and I’ve been to his. Harvey will always be special to me and I just want him to be happy. He’s a great kid! “

Pete also shared in his column: “He’s such a good-hearted boy, I see him a bit more now, which is amazing. He’s just the best, I love him. There’s always room for Harvey at our house. I always saw him as my own. There’s a special place in my heart for him – he’s very important to me and he’s always welcome. “

But according to Katie, as the years rolled by, the Mysterious Girl singer saw less of Harvey. In her 2017 book, Katie Price: Harvey and Me, she wrote: “The split from Pete really upset Harvey. It must have been frustrating for him at the time because he couldn’t express how he felt. But now he can and he remembers a lot more than you’d think. It’s really sad. “

She continued: “I began to notice a change in Harvey, I’d say things like, ‘Do you want to go see Daddy Peter today? ‘ and he’d shout, ‘No! ‘ So then I’d be like, ‘But he has a cake waiting for you’. But he wasn’t interested and he’d start kicking off, it’s probably because the visits were starting to fizzle out and Harvey could sense that. “

But, she added: “Whenever Harvey saw Peter, he wanted to play a clip of the couple singing A Whole New World. Every single time, I want the ground to swallow me up. It’s bad enough having to listen back to it, never mind haven’t to listen back to it standing next to Pete! “

It comes after Katie shared her heartbreak over the fact her eldest child, Harvey, has seen his weight increase to dangerous levels. Throughout his life, Harvey has battled health issues – including a condition called Prader-Willi syndrome, which provokes a constant feeling of hunger.

Speaking on Snapchat, the OnlyFans content creator said: “I’m so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg of being 30 stone.

“It’s so life-threatening now, I’m still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life. ”

She continued: “It’s so sad his quality of life at the moment where he’s so big, he just can’t really do much. Justin Bieber fans concerned as singer appears ‘broken’ in worrying Coachella videos

After Justin Bieber’s team dismissed talk that the star has money problems, a TikTok clip of the singer has emerged and many of his fans rushed to raise concerns

Fans of Justin Bieber are worried for the singing star

After a concerning video of Justin Bieber resurfaced, fans have again raised concerns for the pop superstar.

A TikTok clip of the Baby hitmaker attending Coachella has found its way back online and it shows Justin struggling at the music festival. Slumped over long before the end of the trendy bash, he looked disoriented while sitting down in a grey hoodie.

The smoking musician, sporting khaki pants in the video, looked like he was ready to go home as he was recorded at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. One user said he looks ‘broken’ – while others questioned why someone wasn’t with him in the VIP section.

Another commented saying smoking Justin ‘looks like those men on the street in Seattle’ while others registered their concern for the Grammy-winning artist. Late in the concerning clip he was topless and dancing on his own as revellers looked on stunned.

Last week, Justin was forced set the record straight following recent reports that claim he is struggling financially and in a substantial amount of debt. In a statement released by his team, the 31-year-old pop star branded the claims ‘clickbait stupidity’ coming from unreliable sources.

He claimed the sources used to in the article, published on The Hollywood Reporter, were people who who are ‘disappointed that they no longer work with Justin.’ Within The Hollywood Reporter article, published on Wednesday, a former employee on Bieber’s team made some wild claims about the star’s financial situation, including that he was in millions of dollars worth of debt after his Justice World Tour was cancelled.

The tour was originally scheduled to begin in 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic and then further delayed again in 2022 after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused facial paralysis. In March 2023, he cancelled the remaining tour dates indefinitely.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS) is a condition which is caused due to viral reactivation. It is one of 60 causes of facial palsy, or facial paralysis as it is known in the US. At the time, Justin said his European shows had “taken a real toll on me” and claimed he needed more time to “rest and get better”

In a statement about the story to Us Weekly, Bieber’s team vehemently denied the allegations. It read: “This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed — and clearly ill-informed — ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin.

“As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path. Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial distress … either doesn’t understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality. “

Article continues below

In The Hollywood Reporter’s reporting, a source alleged that when Bieber announced in February 2023 that he would be cancelling the remaining tour dates ‘triggered a series of financial consequences that are still plaguing the artist today. The article also alleged that Bieber was broke and owed a ‘large debt’ — approximately $20 million, according to their insiders — to tour promoter AEG after canceling his tour as he was reportedly given a $40 million advance prior to kicking off the tour.

‘To date, Bieber has only returned a portion of what he borrowed,’ the outlet claimed as multiple sources alleged Bieber is ‘overstretched’ financially, reports MailOnline. It comes two years after Justin sold the rights to his music catalogue to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for a huge $200million (£162million) – 15 years after starting his recording career. The more than $200million agreement was announced by the company on January 24, 2023 after reports emerged that the Canadian star was closing in on a deal to sell his music.
