Spice Girls ‘finally reunite as group secretly plans world tour without one star’

According to reports, the recognizable girl group is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a reunion of the Spice Girls. One group member won’t participate, though.

Geri Horner and band guru Simon Fuller reportedly have a meeting this week to agree a deal. Victoria Beckham has “90 percent” ruled herself out of a world tour next year, despite Mel B, Mel C, and Emma Bunton considering doing so. In a few days, Geri and Simon are said to be back in touch and scheduled to meet in Miami. Victoria reportedly told friends that she isn’t thinking about returning to her musical roots.

According to reports, Victoria has reportedly decided not to attend the reunion (via Instagram).

According to a source, “Geri has always been too busy and had other things on, which has sparked rumors for months,” according to a source who spoke to the Sun. Geri and Simon are back in touch with a myriad of innovative ideas, though nothing has yet been confirmed.

There is still a world where she could make an avatar appearance or a special one-off thing, according to the authors, “Unfortunately Victoria has pretty much ruled herself out.”

Christian Horner and Geri will be there with Simon and Geri to celebrate the Grand Prix in Miami. The source claimed that taking Simon on board would “take the tour to the next level.”

After Mel B expressed her own enthusiasm for a tour, Geri just confirmed she is ready to reform the band. Geri stated in a new interview, “It’s my hope that we can come back together as a collective.”

It’s “come as one,” I guess. There will be a certain amount. We’ll all arrive at once. We are in love. We want the best for each other, and I care about them.

She continued, “We shared something so monumental,” in an interview with The Times. We have always had faith in one another, which is beautiful.

Geri wouldn’t say what the group chat is called, but she did confirm that the girls did it. The Spice Girls’ 30-year anniversary of their debut album, Spice, will be celebrated in 2026, according to Mel C.

Five years ago as a quartet, Dave J Hogan and the Getty Images, they last performed together.

Because Victoria did not participate, the girls only went on a foursome tour together in 2020. There must be something fitting for the 30-year anniversary of Wannabe, Mel C told Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1.

“Once a Spice Girl, never a Spice Girl,” We all experience that, but we are all coming together because we all know that making plans is the first step in the right direction.

“We need to start making the plans and putting them into action right away. Fingers crossed, then. She continued, “I believe Mel B and I are probably going in there with all the guns blazing,” “Come on! It’s time! ‘”

The group will remember the group’s three-decade history by becoming one of the top-selling girl-groups in all time next year as they commemorate the group’s milestone 30-year anniversary.

They have reunited on numerous occasions since 2000, including in 2007 for the London Olympics, and in 2018 to play tour dates across the UK.

At the London Olympics’ final ceremony, Victoria last performed with the group. According to a source who told the Daily Star at the time, “Victoria will always be a Spice Girl and loves the girls very much but would not be able to go on tour with them”

However, she did reunite the renowned band at her 50th birthday last year. When they banded together to perform Stop at Victoria’s star-studded bash, the crowd was in a womb.

Victoria wanted to set the record straight, but there was more speculation that she would reunite with her bandmates one day. She told Gwyneth Paltrow last year, “So often people ask, Are you going back on tour?”

I’ll not be returning to the concert, to be clear. But I adored it, and I’m so happy for it. I adore the fans.

Just days before their final Championship game of the season, Queens Park Rangers manager Marti Cifuentes has taken a gardening leave.

As the first-team prepares for Saturday’s away game against Sunderland (12:30 BST), assistant coaches Kevin Betsy and Xavi Calm will take over the starting lineup on an interim basis.

Christian Nourry, the CEO of QPR, stated that “everyone in the industry is disappointed.”

I fully comprehend and appreciate the frustration of current supporters.

We are working as a club to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible so that we can begin making plans for the future.

Following Saturday’s 5-0 defeat to Burnley, which placed QPR 15th in the table, the decision was made.

Before the match, he said it was crucial that he and the club were at odds with one another.

Cifuentes, 42, continued after the game, “I previously said that I’m very happy as long as I’m wanted.”

Gareth Ainsworth replaced him at Swedish club Hammarby in October 2023, leaving the team second in the championship standing.

At the end of last season, he led the club to a position 18 with three victories.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria shares how show could return for 20 year anniversary

The eight-season run of Desperate Housewives ended in 2012 after it premiered on ABC in 2004 and featured the likes of Eva Longoria and Teri Hatcher.

Actor Eva Longoria has once again teased over the prospect of a Desperate Housewives revival. There’s long been speculation over a potential reboot of the acclaimed ABC show, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year.

The comedy-drama, which launched in 2004, ran for eight seasons before it concluded in 2012. The show, which was created by Marc Cherry, now 63, centred on the residents of the fictional street Wisteria Lane, with it particularly focusing on the lives of four women and their families. They included Gabrielle Solis – played by Eva, now 50. She was among the main characters on Desperate Housewives alongside Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross), Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) and Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher).

Eva has previously teased that she would be “the first to sign up” if a reboot was announced. She made similar comments last year and once again discussed the prospect of a revival on Watch What Happens Live! on Monday night.

Asked who would take “the most convincing,” Eva named creator Marc. Presenter Andy Cohen, 56, asked on the late-night Bravo talk show: “Really? Why he feels like it’s complete?” Eva said: “He feels like we’ve exhausted the characters.”

She went on to make a comparison between the show and Sex and the City, which has returned for two films and a sequel series since it’s original run ended in 2004. Sex and the City had shorter seasons and almost half the number of episodes overall compared to Desperate Housewives.

Eva compared those differences to Sex and the City, which ran only six or eight episodes per year. We produced ten episodes a year for ten.

Teasing over her character Gaby, she said: “So I can’t sleep with any more people on that street. Like I have slept with every single person on the street.” She also appeared to suggest that character Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) did too.

Sandra Bernhard, 69, a fellow guest, posed the question, “Did you sleep with women in the show?” Eva responded: “No, I didn’t… wait! Did I”? Then Sandra made a joke about how “we can do a quick y’know half… half a season.” Eva continued in the discussion, “We gotta persuade Marc Cherry, that’s who you have to persuade.”

Andy questioned her about Desperate Housewives’ question in another segment: “Do you still receive healthy residual checks?” Eva said, “I do well, I do well,” before laughing.

Marc has himself previously spoken about the prospect of bringing Desperate Housewives back in some form. He told People magazine last year that he has a “couple of ideas”. It was however suggested by the outlet at the time that it would likely be without the original cast of the show.

Marc said, “I would probably want to do the idea of a reboot sometime in the future.” He claimed that Wisteria Lane itself is the character he most longs for.

Because they “owned the entire street,” he claimed it was the “most fun playground.” There are times when I go, “you know what,” according to Marc. I’m curious if I could write “Wisteria Lane” in the style of 1966.

Marc argued that show rebooters should have a “really good artistic reason.” He continued, “At some point, I’ll sit down with someone and say, okay, let’s talk about whether there’s a good reason to do it.”

Woman denies plotting BGT star Andrew Johnston rape claim with another woman

Andrew Johnston, a BGT star, is facing charges of rape and sexual assault in London’s Southwark Crown Court, which he denies. He has already been charged with two counts of rape and one of sexual assault.

Andrew Johnston is currently facing a trial.

Britain’s Got Talent star Andrew Johnston’s accuser has denied plotting with another alleged victim to win her case. The BGT singer, who competed on the ITV show in 2008, is currently on trial at London’s Southwark Crown Court for the charge of raping and sexually assaulting one woman and the rape of another woman.

The prosecution claims that he appeared on Britain’s Got Talent several years after the alleged crimes occurred. Johnston, 30, refutes every charge. One of the women reportedly told the court today, “I can tell you that there was never a feeling that “we have got him.” Not a victory, to be sure. This is not a victory, in my opinion.

I don’t think there should be a celebration at any point during this process. It’s not joyful. No outcome has ever been guaranteed at any point. It was done solely because I thought it was the right thing to do, I believe.

When Rupert Kent, the defense attorney, inquired whether she was trying to conceal collusion with the other woman, she responded, “I’m not trying. The first alleged victim, who was winking in the sent image, was the first to give the woman a selfie, the court was told.

She testified in court that her interpretation of events changed as I learned about impacted relationships in my life, such as my boyfriend’s intimate relationships.

The woman claimed to have asked Johnston to use a condom because she was having consensual sex with him. She claimed in a police interview that she had pushed his hands away because he was “actively grabbing her throat and trying to convince her that this is not acceptable.”

The woman’s attorney was informed that Johnston had stopped and removed the condom at some point before continuing to have sex with the woman. He spent the night of the alleged attack watching a TV show.

The woman responded, “No, I think it takes time to work out,” when it was suggested that it should have been immediately obvious that she had been raped. She continued, “I wanted to gloss over it. I wished I could move on rather than deal with the years that followed.

The woman made a meal and coffee acquaintance with Johnston at some point after the incident. She claimed to have done this because she wanted to be treated like a human being and that the invitation was a chance to strike up a conversation.

She claimed she struggled with other issues and was unable to wear turtlenecks when she attempted to get close with a new boyfriend. She also received therapy for other issues.

The woman’s ex-boyfriend also admitted to the court that she once “repeatedly” retreated from him during an intimate relationship. Before talking about Johnston, she claimed to be “crying and very upset.” He claimed to the court that the woman had said, “He (Johnston) became aggressive. He refused to stop, despite her advice. She tried to put both of her hands on his chest but was unsuccessful.

He (Johnston) continued on until something happened, which put pressure on her neck, and she was grabbed. She sat there in bed unsure of her next move.

The boyfriend continued, “It took her” quite a while to calm down because it was obvious that she was trying to deal with it and that he made an effort to be supportive.

Johnson has refuted claims that he assaulted either of the women. In his interview, he claimed that he had never engaged in sexual activity with the first or second woman. He continued, noting that she had never asked him to stop, that he had never used the condom, or that he had never been abusive toward her.

What will Mark Carney’s victory mean for Canada-US ties?

Just a few months ago, the election results appeared to be improbable and impossible.

Canada has cast its ballots for a second term in power in the Liberal Party.

The center-left party has a rare fourth consecutive mandate.

Former central banker and economist Mark Carney will continue as prime minister.

As the two neighbors, who were once close allies, come to grips with tariffs, military spending, and even Canadian sovereignty, he will be the man sat across the table from Donald Trump, the president of the United States.

What should Canada do next?

Rudiger given six-game ban for throwing object at referee

Antonio Rudiger, a Real Madrid defender, was banned from all competitions for six matches after striking the referee in the Copa del Rey final.

Rudiger and Real teammate Lucas Vazquez, who had both been substituted, were shown straight red cards in Seville for furious behavior toward Kylian Mbappe shortly before the break when they both reacted.

In his report, Referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea claimed center-back Rudiger, 32, was dismissed for “flipping an object from the technical area.”

Rudiger allegedly threw an ice cube at the official, according to Guillem Balague of BBC Sport.

The German defender was given a six-game suspension “for minor violence against the referees,” according to the report from the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

After the final whistle, the RFEF also voided the red card that Real midfielder Jude Bellingham received for disapproval.

Rudiger could have been suspended for four to twelve matches under the terms of article 101 of the RFEF disciplinary code, which prohibits “mild violence” against referees.

Rudiger’s suspension will only be served in league games for the duration of the entire season, which is when it begins next year.

He will be prohibited from playing in La Liga’s final five games this campaign as well as the campaign’s opening game, 2025-26.

After having knee surgery on Tuesday and being out for the rest of the season, Rudiger is unlikely to suffer significantly from the ban.

Real did not specify a recovery date, but Spanish media reports suggest that he might be out for six to eight weeks, which would make him unfit for the Club World Cup, which will begin on June 15.

Rudiger apologized for the incident, saying that there was “definitely no excuse” for his actions.
