Chris Hughes takes savage dig at ‘jealous’ Ella Mae Wise in Celebrity Big Brother rant

Celebrity Big Brother star Chris Hughes slammed Ella Mae Wise in a brutal rant in last night’s episode of the ITV reality show after tension between the pair reached a high

Celebrity Big Brother’s Chris Hughes has slammed Ella Rae Wise in a brutal rant on the ITV show’s latest episode, branding his fellow housemate as “jealous”. Tension has been building in the house between Chris and Ella over Chris’ close bond with JoJo Siwa.

It came to a head in last night’s episode as Ella appeared to take a dig at Chris and JoJo, saying: “I just felt, and this is my personal opinion, there are social climbers in this industry, and I think he would benefit a hell of a lot off her.”

Later on in the episode, Chris opened up to JoJo and Jack P. Shepherd about Chris, telling them that she pretends to like him.

“Ella by the way is so jealous – it’s f**king weird,” he said. “It’s not normal. She hates JoJo, she pretends to like me. What’s weird with her – I’m so nice to her, give her the time of day every day, speak to her, ask her how she’s doing.

“But then she just dismisses and goes into her own world.”

In tonight’s episode, Chris breaks down over accusations from his housemates that he’s playing a game.

Speaking to Big Brother in a clip shared on Late and Live, Chris said while crying: “I’m literally in here, I’m just living, I’m just being me. I had toxic stuff and I had bad energy, it just brings you down.”

Chris’ brother Ben later called in to Late and Live to insist that it wasn’t an act, revealing that his friendship with Ella has “threatened the housemates” a bit.

On Lorraine today, he also said that Ella is “jealous” of that friendship. “It’s not very nice seeing your little brother upset about people accusing him of something which he’s not doing. So yes, it’s not very nice at the moment to watch,” he told presenter Christine Lampard.

“In my personal point of view, I think she got a little bit jealous of the friendship between Chris and JoJo.

“She did wonder why she wasn’t part of that friendship due to them being a younger age, a lot younger than most in the house. But I do believe that Daley has left the biggest bombshell and blown things out of the water. “

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Hazel Irvine has been one of the voices of the BBC for over three decades and has been the face of the snooker coverage since 2000. The Scottish presenter is considered a trailblazer as one of the first females to host sports broadcasts on the BBC.

While fans of the presenter are aware that she tends to keep her private life under wraps, there are a few lesser-known facts about the TV host. Hazel was born in St Andrews, Scotland and pursued a degree in History of Art at university. However, her love for sports was evident as she actively participated in her university’s netball, golf and athletics teams.

In a 2019 interview with the Mail, Hazel shared: “As a child, I spent my pocket money on stickers for an Olympics sticker book.

“I had a very happy childhood doing sport and outdoor stuff. My dad, Bill, made this half-size snooker table for my brother and me as kids, and Mum crocheted the pockets! “.

It wasn’t until 1988, however, that the 59 year old embarked on her career in radio and television, guest hosting the 1988 Olympics and the 1990 World Cup.

In a surprising move to many, Hazel married her long-term partner in 2008. Despite having been together for a significant period, it seemed the timing finally felt right for them at the age of 43.

Preferring a more personal touch, the couple said their ‘I dos’ in a cosy Scottish setting, surrounded by friends and family. At her nuptials, Hazel joyfully confirmed that she and her beau were “very happy”.

Her statement noted: “I can confirm that she married her long-term partner a few months ago. It was a small and very private affair, and she and her husband are very happy. She wants to keep all the details private. “

The next year brought more joy for Hazel as she revealed at a London charity sports quiz that they were expecting a baby. She playfully informed the crowd about her “own credit crunch looming”.

Elaborating on this, she shared: “My clothes are already feeling the squeeze. My husband and I have a new arrival coming in the spring – which is going to be a drain on my own profits. “

The family, formerly of Scotland, has made the move to London, where they’re surely living life to the fullest with plenty of sports and activities!

Dwight York said comments about Peter Andre and Harvey ‘stuck in his throat’

Harvey Price’s father, Dwight Yorke, insisted he loved the son he shares with Katie Price from the ‘moment he was born’ after Katie’s then husband, Peter Andre, revealed he wanted to adopt him

Dwight Yorke admitted he wanted to ‘throttle’ Peter Andre when he said he wanted to adopt Harvey Price(Image: Getty Images)

Dwight Yorke once admitted he wanted to “throttle” Peter Andre when he said he wanted to adopt his son Harvey Price. The former footballer, who is estranged from 22-year-old Harvey from his relationship with ex, Katie Price, had insisted he loved Harvey from the ‘moment he was born’, despite Katie claiming he “didn’t give a s**t” about their son.

When Mysterious Girl star Pete, 51, married Katie, 46, he spoke about possibly adopting Harvey – who is now, sadly, dealing with life-threatening obesity. Over the years Katie has accused Dwight, 53, of not being there for their son. However, while admitting he could have done more for Harvey, Dwight claimed it was the former glamour model who restricted his access in a bombshell chapter from his autobiography.

Writing in Born to Score, he claimed Katie’s digs about his relationship with Harvey ‘stuck in his throat’. He wrote: “From the moment I set eyes on the little fella, I have loved my son like I could never ever have imagined possible. I am not going to hear anymore that I did not care for Harvey, or have any understanding of his needs or that I was not interested in his welfare.

“Over the years I have heard Katie saying how [Peter] Andre is Harvey’s dad and what a terrible, uncaring father I have been, all of which sticks in my throat. Maybe if she had not made life so difficult for me, might have been able to take a far more proactive role. “

Katie’s former husband Peter had wanted to adopt Harvey, leaving Dwight admitting he wanted to “throttle” the singer. There was much bitterness on both sides of the model’s relationship with the footballer, with Dwight reportedly asking for a paternity test, only acknowledging he was Harvey’s father when the test returned positive.

In her autobiography, Katie claimed Dwight told her he didn’t want to be in Harvey’s life when he was 10. She wrote: “Dwight actually spoke to Harvey over the phone on his tenth birthday. My mum had organised it with his manager. To be honest, I was shocked that it happened.

“But I think Dwight was even more shocked when Harvey asked him, ‘When am I seeing you? ’ The last time I saw Dwight was in 2012, when I met up with him at a restaurant in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, to speak about Harvey and what Harvey had said on the phone. “

“Even after he said that, I was still trying to be persistent. I wanted Harvey to have his dad in his life, but he just wasn’t interested in any of it. ‘This isn’t about me. This is your son and your flesh and blood. “

Katie continued: “But he just didn’t give a s**t. There’s only so much you can try before you realise you’re flogging a dead horse. I got up and left and that’s the last time I saw him. I haven’t heard from him since. “

Peter, meanwhile, took a significant role in Harvey’s life when he married his mum, Katie. When they met on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! the then mum-of-one was raising Harvey as a single parent.

Despite not legally adopting Harvey, Peter had a close bond with Harvey and said he felt like a father figure, revealing that Katie’s “best boy” even referred to him as ‘Daddy. ‘

Following his divorce from Katie, Peter is said to have remained close to Harvey for some time. The Aussie described himself as having been like a “real father”, before he had kids of his own, previously saying: “I have been a real father of Harvey and he calls me Daddy.”

“I couldn’t take enough. Drugs made me feel like Superman. Life was just one long, long party. I’d end up staying up for days on end, hanging out with people I didn’t even know. All that mattered was the drugs. When I sniffed a line it gave me a huge buzz and a rush of euphoria. But as soon as that started wearing off I wanted more. “

Jim had also admitted in the past that he would even help to supply drugs for his friends.

He said: “I used to take tonnes of drugs. My mates used to send me down to Erith to pick up all the pills and things and come back to Woolwich. I didn’t go far, it’s not like I went to Peru or somewhere, but I was the bloke from the pub that used to go and get them all. “

During an appearance on Life Stories with then-host Piers Morgan, Jim admitted he didn’t know how to “put the brakes on” with his addiction and pushed his family aside as a result of his addiction.

“It became a bit of a mess really. I had to put the brakes on…I did not know how to. I used to go to the pub at lunchtime as I was bored. I was earning £250,000 a week and I was able to push some things aside – and that included family,” he said.

“Sometimes I took 250 pills in a weekend, amphetamines, when I was young. It was awful. That is why I stopped doing it. It made me feel awful and then I moved on to to all that Charlie. “

In a heartfelt Instagram video posted on April 13, she shared: “Tyler and I are still happily in love and nearing nine months of us being together, and Tax Day [Tuesday, April 15] will mark nine months.”

She graciously expressed gratitude, stating: “I’d like to say thank you to all the fans, along with my friends and family, who have been giving me a lot of positive support and recognition. “

Yet, there’s more to Madison than just her romantic endeavours. The star also runs her own business.

During her time on the Netflix series, Madison expressed her passion for country music and jewellery. In fact, her love for the latter led to the establishment of her business.

She launched Madizen LLC, a jewellery and accessories brand, back in 2012 and has been at the helm for over a decade.

Before her stint on the popular show, Madison was an activities director at an elementary school in Kingston, Massachusetts, and held various substitute teaching positions prior to that.

Family tragedy

In 2024, Madison’s family was hit by a devastating loss due to Hurricane Helene. The lethal storm wreaked havoc on Florida’s Gulf coast in early October, leaving many families homeless.

Among the victims were Madison’s parents, who lost their home in the tropical storm. Following the disaster, Madison posted a photo on Instagram of her mum and dad standing in front of their former home on Florida’s Anna Maria Island.

“Unfortunately my parents lost their home during Hurricane Helene,” she captioned the post.

“But I’m very thankful that my home is still intact and that I didn’t lose power other than a flicker on Thursday night. It will take 6-12 months for my parents to rebuild. I am very thankful for the overwhelming amount of support during this difficult time. Please keep them in prayer,” shared the 27-year-old.

The 2030 Solheim Cup needs a host – is it England’s time?

Mel Reid’s appointment as a Solheim Cup vice-captain for the third time serves as a timely reminder of English golf’s contribution to the biennial match.

But as Reid prepares to assist Europe’s skipper Anna Nordqvist for next year’s attempt to wrestle back the trophy from the United States, a wider campaign to bring the match to England for the first time will intensify.

The Derby golfer played in four Solheim Cups – winning two – before serving as a vice-captain in last year’s defeat in Virginia. She was also alongside Catriona Matthew for the epic win at Gleneagles six years ago.

That was the most recent occasion when the UK has held a match that has never been more popular with golf fans. It was also held in Scotland at Loch Lomond in 2000 and Dalmahoy in 1992 as well as St Pierre in Wales in 1996.

But despite a record 12 appearances for Europe by Dame Laura Davies, with a haul of 25 points (another record) and stalwart contributions from the likes of Reid and Trish Johnson (eight appearances) England has never hosted the Solheim Cup.

‘I’m honoured to be a vice-captain’

Any bid will require government funding and staging the Solheim Cup sits on the UK sports’ major events hosting target list, which also includes the Fifa Women’s World Cup in 2035.

Only last month the outgoing chair of UK Sport Dame Katherine Grainger expressed frustration that Britain is not staging more major events over the coming decade.

“We don’t want fallow years,” she told BBC Sport. “After 2028, we don’t really have anything named. That is quite a big gap.

“There are plenty of events that still are there for the taking. It’s quite obvious why these mega-events are so important to the country, and yet maybe we haven’t made the case clear. “

It will be at least a decade before the Ryder Cup could be staged in England – Bolton is staging an audacious bid to hold the 2035 match – so the time would appear ripe for the Solheim Cup to come to England for the first time.

More immediately, Reid – surely a compelling candidate for the 2030 captaincy – and Sweden’s Caroline Hedwall have been announced as vice-captains to Nordqvist for the 2026 contest at Bernardus in the Netherlands.

“If the Solheim Cup is happening, I want to be there for Europe in whatever way I can contribute,” said the 37-year-old Englishwoman, who is a seven-time winner on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA.

“Some of my fondest core memories have been during a Solheim Cup week and in that European team room. I am honoured that Anna asked me to be one of her vice-captains.

“I know she is going to be an amazing captain, and I am so happy that I will be there to support her and the team and to help in any way to make Anna and the team successful. “

Attention this week is firmly on the women’s game, with the first major of the year, the Chevron Championship, being held at The Club at Carlton Woods near Houston in Texas.

Charley Hull spearheads the British challenge. The 29-year-old Englishwoman has banked three top-11 finishes already this year.
