Margot Robbie’s sweet tribute to her baby as she soaks up sun six months after birth

Margot Robbie was seen at a beach with her husband Tom Ackerley and a pal over the Easter weekend, with photos from the trip showing a tribute to the Barbie star’s baby

Actor Margot Robbie was seen soaking up the sun whilst at a beach this week. Photos of her enjoying the Easter weekend during the outing show a subtle tribute to her baby.

Margot, 34, is thought to have given birth to her now six-month-old baby in October last year. There had been much speculation about her rumoured pregnancy in the months prior to the reports that the acclaimed actor had welcomed her first child with her husband Tom Ackerley, also 34.

Now, almost seven months on, the Barbie star was spotted enjoying a trip to a beach whilst in Australia over the long weekend. Margot was joined by collaborator Tom and a pal, who joined her in the water, on the Gold Coast.

Photos show Margot wearing a pale purple bikini at the beach. She’s seen sporting the high-waisted swimwear in the water, where she talked to her companion. And one photo shows the Oscar nominee swimming off the coast.

She was seen with her arms out in front of her amid a wave coming from behind her in the photo of her swimming. The water appeared to reach just below her neck in it and, like in the other recent photos, Margot sported wet hair.

Margot – who is set to star in an adaptation of the novel Wuthering Heights – was also photographed back on land. She was seen in an area that appeared to have loungers, with her husband seemingly relaxing on one at one point.

She accessorised with an apparent tribute to her baby, with her seen wearing a gold necklace that read “mama”. It was among the jewellery that she sported whilst at the coast, with her also spotted wearing a selection of gold rings.

Tom was also pictured at the beach. One photo shows the producer – who’s worked with Margot on films like Saltburn (2023) – shirtless in a pair of blue shorts. He accompanied them with a gold chain around his neck and dark sunglasses.

Some of Tom’s tattoos were on display whilst he was at the beach with his wife, whom he married back in 2016. The inkings include a tattoo of a rose and other floral designs.

Another photo appears to show Margot walking beside Tom, who was cradling their baby, whilst on the Gold Coast recently. The couple are both seen wearing sunglasses as they took a stroll together whilst in clothing for the summer.

Margot wore a black top and a pair of red shorts during the family’s outing. The actor – whose credits include films like Suicide Squad (2016) and I, Tonya (2017) – was seen carrying a coffee cup, like her husband, in the photo of them.

Tom – who like his wife is a film producer – is pictured wearing a dark top and a pair of blue shorts on the beach. He appears to be holding their child – who was underneath a blanket – in a baby carrier.

McIlroy will return to defend team title says Lowry

Shane Lowry has confirmed newly crowned Masters champion Rory McIlroy will return to defend the pair’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans title in Louisiana next week.

McIlroy has returned home to Northern Ireland after skipping this week’s RBC Heritage event on the PGA Tour following his career Grand Slam-clinching success at Augusta National.

But Lowry says the five-time major winner will fly back to the United States in time for the team event, which begins on Thursday.

“We’ll be there,” Lowry told Golfweek.

“I talked to him [Wednesday] morning. We’re good to go.

“To be honest, I didn’t want him to feel like he had to play because of me.

“He’s not letting me down if he wanted to take some time. He feels like he wants to get back out there. “

McIlroy and Lowry beat Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer in a play-off to win last year’s Zurich Classic.

McIlroy is also due to compete in the Truist Championship in Philadelphia between 8-11 May.

He will then return to major action at the US PGA Championship on 15 May at Quail Hollow in North Carolina, a course where he was won four PGA Tour events.

Danni Menzies has spoken about having a ‘breakdown’ after she was dumped by her ex the day after suffering a near-fatal accident, which left her with a “month-long concussion. ” The 36-year-old TV presenter was hit by a moped and needed 25 stitches in her face after the crash almost left her with brain damage.

The TV presenter said that was left “looking like Shrek” and then the day after the accident, her ex finished their relationship. This was in October 2022, and Danni said that she had months of therapy to help her overcome the trauma of the injury and then the ending of her relationship. She said that her ex walked away rather than help her after the horrific crash.

Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous podcast, Danni said: “I could have had brain damage or even died. I was dating someone and he ended it the day after the accident via text, when I looked like Shrek. That was pretty brutal- It hurt as much as the accident. “

In the ensuing months, Danni suffered heartache before having a breakdown “over how she looked” as she recovered from her injuries, which included nasty cuts across her face. The TV star posted a photo to social media, in which she showed her followers the scars that have been left. She captioned the post: “What hurt you once made you stronger. That’s what scars do. They remind us of where we’ve been but they don’t have to dictate where we’re going.

“When I first started posting after the accident I used an app to erase my scar. I hated the feelings it reminded me of. I’ve been on a real journey with it all, so I’m very grateful to now be in a place that feels like the whole experience In the end has made me stronger. “

Danni also paid tribute to the photographer, saying that the photo captured her “in a way that makes it easier to share”. The crash involved two women, who Danni suspected were drunk, when they stole the moped after it was left with the key in the ignition. Dannie was knocked unconscious when she landed face down after being hit by the moped.

Danni recalled the horrific moment in a previous interview, she said: ‘”My face took all the impact and I was massively in shock. I kept saying, ‘My eye, my eye’, because I thought I had lost my right eye as I couldn’t see. It was scary.

Danni continued: “I can remember waiting for the ambulance and hearing people saying: ‘We need to get her to hospital now. I kept losing consciousness so eventually they put me in the back of a police car and drove me to the hospital for a scan. “

Following laser treatment on her fave and therapy, Dannie admitted: “I now realise that when you have an emotional trauma like this crash, your body holds it in your brain and you can’t fully explain how you feel. But the therapist has helped me and rather than looking at the negatives, I now write down everything I’m grateful for. “

She concluded: “I still occasionally get panic attacks but I don’t believe in living with regret. The crash has made me learn more about myself and I know that if you feel like crying, it is okay to do so.

“Above all else though, my family have been amazing. They have helped me so much. “

Real reason Kate Middleton and Prince William skipped Easter service as Andrew appears

The King and Queen have been joined by several members of the Royal Family for the traditional Easter Sunday church service at Windsor Castle – but the Prince and Princess of Wales were missing from the ceremony

The King and Queen were joined by a host of other royals at the traditional Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle – but the Prince and Princess of Wales were not among them. Charles and Camilla attended the service at St George’s Chapel alongside the likes of Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, but royal fans won’t see Prince George, Prince Louis or Princess Charlotte this year.

Also joining were Prince Andrew and Ferige, who missed the royals’ Christmas celebrations at Sandringham after the disgraced Duke of York stepped away following his involvement in a recent scandal involving an alleged Chinese spy. Other royals included the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s son James – the Earl of Wessex, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank and Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. However, the Prince and Princess of Wales did not attend as they are spending the weekend with their children in Norfolk.

Prince William told the King of his intention to miss the annual gathering, to “enjoy some extended time as a family over Easter”, a source said. “They are choosing to spend time together as a family before the children go back to school”, the source added. The Waleses did not attend the service last year as it was only weeks after the princess was diagnosed with cancer.

A royal source said the Prince of Wales had notified the King of his intention to miss the service, with the King agreeing to the couple spending the Easter holidays with their family. The King, as head of the Church of England which William will one day lead when he becomes sovereign, was greeted by the royals as he arrived at the church at Windsor Castle.

Earlier this week, the princess described how she experiences a “very spiritual and very intense emotional reconnection” when spending time in nature, giving her a “sense of peace” in a “very busy world “.

Kensington Palace posted a new video of Kate on Monday, showing the princess in a bakerboy cap, walking near the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District last month with a group of Scouts from Cumbria and Stretford, Greater Manchester. She was filmed in conversation with chief scout Dwayne Fields as she told him how being outdoors was “so… meaningful for me as a place of balance”.

The princess has long advocated the benefits of spending time in the natural world, previously revealing how nature became her family’s “sanctuary” and how she has craved being in the sunlight, in the wake of her diagnosis and during her chemotherapy treatment.

William and Kate recently returned from a skiing holiday with their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine and Prince Louis, six. The family enjoyed a week in the French Alps with pictures of their family break appearing in a French magazine, prompting the wrath of Kensington Palace.

The family in February enjoyed a half term break on the exclusive island of Mustique in the Caribbean, while William and Kate also separately jetted off on a skiing holiday at the end of December, again in France, with Kate’s brother James and his wife, Alizée. It has been an extraordinary year for the monarchy after both the King and his daughter-in-law Kate were diagnosed with cancer within days of each other.

The future queen underwent six months of preventative chemotherapy, later speaking in September of her relief on finishing her course of treatment. In an emotional video, featuring husband William, their three children and her parents, Kate, 43, said the year had been “incredibly tough” and “that life as you know it can change in an instant”.

In a welcome and positive update in January, the princess announced that she was in remission from cancer and was doing all she could to stay “focused on recovery”. In a message posted on social media, she said: “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead,” signing off with “C” for Catherine.

70-Hour Chess marathon: Tunde Onakoya Breaks Record Set by Norwegians

Nigerian chess champion and founder of Chess in Slums Africa, Tunde Onakoya, has broken the chess marathon record of 61 hours, 3 minutes, and 34 seconds, set by two Norwegian players, Hallvard Haug Flatebø and Sjur Ferkingstad, in June 2024.

Onakoya and his chess partner, Shawn Martinez, are currently aiming to complete a 70-hour chess marathon in Times Square, New York.

The marathon, a four-day non-stop gameplay, started on April 17.

In a post shared on X shortly after surpassing the current record, he expressed fulfillment and called for action to educate and create opportunities for street children in Nigeria.

“For all the dreamers! We’ve officially BROKEN THE RECORD with my brother,” he wrote.

Although the official confirmation from Guinness World Records is still being awaited, Nigerians and chess lovers from different parts of the world have congratulated the chess master on his latest achievement.

More Than Personal Feat

Onakoya, 30, who gained global recognition in April 2024 for completing a 60-hour chess marathon with Martinez, a US chess master, had earlier revealed that his upcoming attempt was not just about records.

“We’re not just doing this for ourselves—we’re doing it for a million dreams. We want to build the biggest preschool in Africa for homeless children.

“The hardest part isn’t staying awake for three days—because a million dreams will do that. But now, more than ever, we need everyone’s support. If you’re in New York, show up at Times Square. Come support us. Help us inspire the world and show the world that it is indeed possible to do great things from a small place.

“My dream is to inspire the world and raise support to build the biggest free school for homeless children in Nigeria,” he added.

Music star, Davido, watches on during Onakoya’s 60-hour chess marathon in 2024

During his record-setting performance in 2024, the Nigerian community in New York turned out in a show of support, offering traditional meals like jollof rice and music. Nigerian superstar, Davido, also publicly supported him and presented him with a 30BG chain.

Back in Nigeria, Vice President Kashim Shettima commended him, stating that his feat was a symbol of “excellence and resilience that distinguishes Nigerians both locally and internationally. ”

Similarly, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, highlighted that the attempt was “a strong testimony to how greatness can come from anywhere. ”

That initial effort, which doubled as a $1 million fundraising campaign, helped elevate Onakoya’s Chess in Slums Africa initiative — a movement he says has provided education and lifelong scholarships to over 200 children across Nigeria. The funds raised were also used to distribute one million chess sets to impoverished communities, in partnership with The Gift of Chess.

In a January 2024 interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, Onakoya said growing up in poverty taught him empathy because the real pain wasn’t just lacking money, but being cut off from things like education and justice. He said this experience drives his passion to help others, adding that he wants to be the kind of person he needed when he was younger.

A self-taught chess master, Onakoya learnt the game in a barber’s shop. Raised in modest circumstances by a mother who worked as a cleaner to support his education, he went on to study computer science at Yaba College of Technology.
