Following an alleged attack during a North Wales amateur football game, a 35-year-old man was released on conditional bail.

Following an incident that occurred on January 17 during the Ardal North West League game between Trearddur Bay and Porthmadog, the man was detained on suspicion of assault.

Social media has seen a lot of footage of the incident at the Gwynedd Y Traeth (The Beach) stadium.

In order to obtain an evidential statement and formally include it in the case file submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service, District Inspector Iwan Jones said, “We are appealing for the person who filmed the video to come forward.”

Following a committee’s erroneous general meeting on Sunday, Trearddur Bay apologized for the incident and has since released player Tom Taylor.

The club continued, “We will fully cooperate with any external investigations or disciplinary processes and will not make any further comment while these matters are ongoing.”

The FAW (Fooseball Association of Wales) is conducting an investigation as well.

Wilson set to stay at West Ham despite exit talks

After putting negotiations over his contract termination on hold, West Ham have put off plans for Callum Wilson’s departure from the club this month.

Wilson was having advanced discussions with the club about letting him leave his summertime contract.

Wilson will remain at the London Stadium until the end of the season, according to a senior Hammers official who intervened to put an end to those discussions.

Wilson scored a last-minute winner in Saturday’s London derby against Tottenham, adding to the development.

And it has been decided internally that Wilson leaving with the club, who desperately needs goals in order to stay in the Premier League, would be self-defeating.

Wilson made five goals in 19 starts for the club while on a free transfer in the summer.

However, with the arrival of Tati Castellanos and Pablo Felipe as forwards this month, his first-team opportunities appeared to be limited.

In order for Wilson to find another club as a free transfer, West Ham and Wilson had begun discussions over ending his contract.

The 33-year-old is expected to remain until the summer, but those plans have now been put on hold.

Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed discussions over his potential exit earlier this month, saying: “Me and Callum we had a lot of conversations about that situation just 10 minutes ago.

“I think there are two strikers in.” These strikers have joined, in my opinion. Callum, who has played professionally for a long time, is a very knowledgeable player who understands how his position has changed.

Army Dismisses Reports Of Mutiny Threat, Commits To Troops Welfare

A publication that claims soldiers threatened mutiny over salaries and benefits has been described by the Nigerian Army as “false and misleading.”

Colonel Appolonia Anele, the Army’s Acting Director of Army Public Relations, said the report was purposefully sensational and capable of compromising public trust and national security in a statement released on Monday.

Anele claimed that the report given to an online publication was solely based on unidentified and unverifiable claims made in secret through unofficial channels and that it did not reflect the opinions or conduct of Nigerian Army officers and soldiers.

She emphasized that the Nigerian Army has never been threatened with mutiny, noting that it is against military law and disregarded by its ethos, discipline, and professionalism.

“The Nigerian Army has never been a source of mutiny threat. According to her, “Mutiny is a grave offense under military law and alien to the ethos, discipline, and professionalism of Nigerian Army personnel who continue to be loyal to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

She emphasized that soldiers continue to abide by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s Constitution.

Promotion increments are only one component of military pay, according to the army spokesperson, and they shouldn’t be confused with total earnings.

“The report solemnly relied on unidentified, unsubstantiated claims that were made available through unofficial channels. These accounts do not reflect the opinions, conduct, or attitudes of Nigerian Army officers and soldiers, who are trained to file complaints through established military procedures rather than using public forums.

For the avoidance of doubt, it is crucial to clarify that promotion increases are only a part of military pay and should not be misrepresented as total earnings. Consolidated salaries, rank-based allowances, operational allowances, field and hardship allowances, and other entitlements that vary depending on deployment, qualification, and responsibilities are included in military pay.

Trump asks Putin to join Gaza ‘board of peace’ even as Ukraine war rages

Vladimir Putin has been invited to the “board of peace” of Donald Trump, which purportedly oversees governance and reconstruction in Gaza and oversees international conflicts.

The invitation was extended as a result of Russia’s nearly four-year conflict with Ukraine and the elusive signing of a peace deal there. Trump had been urging a resolution to the war, which he claimed would end a year before taking office. Peace negotiations are undergoing, but the pace has slowed once more as a result of a war of attrition that has been occurring on the ground.

The White House has reached out to individuals from all over the world to join the “board of peace,” which is led by Trump himself.

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, “President Putin has also been invited to join this board of peace.”

Without specifying whether Putin would like to join, he claimed that Russia was attempting to “clarify all the nuances” of the deal with Washington.

Trump reportedly invited Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a friend of Putin, to the organization.

Moscow has long tried to strike a balance between its relations with Israel and the Palestinians, one of the main players in the Middle East.

Putin has resisted Israel’s forcible occupation of Gaza and its subsequent invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, strengthening ties with its allies, including Iran.

In response to growing Western isolation, Moscow has also pressed for closer ties with the Gulf Arab states.

Trump’s efforts to resolve conflicts have previously been praised by Putin.

In October, Putin stated, “He really is doing a lot to resolve these complex crises, which have persisted for years or even decades.”

Putin said in reference to the Middle East situation, “If we succeed in accomplishing everything Donald has aspired to, it will be a historic event.”

Moscow’s traditionally friendly relations with Israel, which has a large Russian-born population, have been strained by the assault on Ukraine and the Gaza war.

Israel’s occupation of Gaza has been repeatedly criticized by the Kremlin, and restraint has been demanded.

At a meeting with President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas in May, Putin was quoted as saying, “The Gaza Strip is experiencing a humanitarian catastrophe in the full sense of the word.

The Russian president continued, “Russia is attempting to provide regular assistance to the Palestinian people.”

A three-tier governing body, including those from the US, Europe, and Arab nations, is expected to implement Trump’s 20-point plan to end Israel’s war on Gaza.
