Emma Willis ‘stressing’ ahead of new role as she makes huge change

Emma Willis, the TV presenter who takes over Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday, expresses her genuine stress in a statement.

TV presenter Emma Willis has opened up about a ‘stress dream’ due to feeling nervous as she takes over from Zoe Ball as BBC Radio 2 host. Emma opened her first BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday and admitted ‘the pressure suddenly dawned on her’.

Following Zoe Ball’s, 55, who had to decide to leave the afternoon slot after just seven months, Emma, 49, was named the new presenter. While hosting her own show, Emma revealed what she thought.

She remarked, “Wow! Because it’s my very own, I can’t stop thinking about that little jingle in my head! I usually enter and exit this place while keeping the seats warm, covering for people, and swan in and swan out. I have a show coming up next week and have to be there every week because I’ve just started to feel pressure.”

Before airing on television, Emma revealed that she had a “stress dream.” She stated to her listeners, “I had a stress dream about this very moment when the entire team was present, like they are now, staring at me.” And I was so excited when I declared I was really into the word and then sank to the floor and said, “It’s over before it even started, and that’s what’s ringing in my head right now”!

Emma also shared a heartfelt message from Zoe and earlier in the week about her nerves. She explained to felloe radio hosts Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp, “I’m super excited but a little nervous because it’s Zoe Ball.” Taking over her show, but I just have to believe that it is not, so let’s not think about it that because it would terrify me.

“She sent me a message,” “I’m going to be great, you’re going to be fine,” and I responded, “Okay, thank you.”

Every Saturday afternoon from 1-3pm, Emma will host a programme filled with conversations featuring special guests and listeners, alongside a carefully curated selection of top-quality music.

While Emma was fixture on Heart Radio for six years with Stephen Mulhern, since 2019 she has been a regular stand-in on Radio 2, filling in for stars including Sara Cox, Claudia Winkleman and Romesh Ranganathan.

Spending Saturday lunchtimes with the Radio 2 gang was a total hoot, according to Zoe Ball, along with Romesh and Rylan, the listeners, the stories, and of course my weekly giggles. Emma, who is pure sunshine and will bring all the joy (and tunes), is a wonderful newcomer to the family. to your Saturdays!

Emma is one of the most well-known broadcasters in the UK, and she’s thrilled to be joining the all-star Radio 2 family of presenters, according to Helen Thomas, Head of Radio 2. Our devoted listeners will undoubtedly welcome her with open arms, in my opinion.

‘I’m not so sure I learned much’ – O’Neill knows what Celtic need after cup win

JavaScript must be enabled in your browser to play this video.

After a frustrating Scottish Cup defeat to sixth-tier Auchinleck Talbot, Celtic manager Martin O’Neill admitted he had not learned a lot about his team.

Only Callum McGregor, a captain, was allowed to take his place in O’Neill’s squad’s win over Falkirk on Wednesday, when the rest of the team had opportunities to use him.

After being called out from his loan at Motherwell, Stephen Welsh made his first Celtic appearance since December 2024, Johnny Kenny was brought in first, and winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha was taken out of the cold.

O’Neill has been sincere about how important it is to strengthen in the January window, but Parkhead hasn’t welcomed any newcomers until about halfway through.

The opening goal was scored by substitute Sebastian Tounekti from close range, and Kenny missed a lot of chances before firing home with a magnificent second just in time.

Fans chanted “sign a player” at Rugby Park after being ignored by the pitch’s fare.

It would have been nice to put on a fantastic performance tonight, O’Neill said. I had a lot of fun with the game, but that’s how I’ve spent the past 30 years.

    • three hours ago

We have a clear idea of what we need to do in the window.

O’Neill was questioned again about the club’s intentions after making such a laborious tie with part-time players.

Before he made fun of it, he said, “I do dread this question,” adding that we are making some progress and that we should be able to recruit players before the season is over.

O’Neill, who had originally been parachuted into Parkhead following Brendan Rodgers’ agonizing departure in October, maintained his perfect domestic performance this season.

After Wilfried Nancy’s grueling 33-day rule, the 73-year-old was given another chance to watch players he had previously used and the he took advantage of Auchinleck’s refusal to do so.

” We made 10 changes, “O’Neill said”. In the first half, I had no access to a few of the young people who were playing tonight. Balikwisha, Paulo, Bernardo, [Michel-Ange]

“It was a matter of examining their potential.” We’ve got a good idea of what to do [in the window], and I want to get started.

Former Celtic defender Jackie McNamara said, “Most teams that play against Celtic are comfortable leaving them with possession as long as they don’t play through the lines.”

Because they don’t have a target man in the middle to win those headers, they force them wide and say, “We’ll deal with it.”

You can see with Kenny that it’s not his game, but they would score many more goals. He’s a second striker, not a nine-a-sider.

Some of Celtic’s starters also disapproved of Ryan Stevenson, who was a former Hearts striker.

He said, “Martin will have a lot of knowledge about players who are at the fringes today.”

He and his backroom staff will meet, and they will say, “He didn’t take advantage of it,” “I don’t think he did well enough,” or “He did well enough.”

Luke McCowan and James Forrest both had good work, according to McCowan, but there are too many people who kind of “went through the motions.”

Before crucial European matches against Bologna and Utrecht, either side of a Scottish Premiership visit to Hearts, Kenny himself hopes his goal will help improve his form.

You need to be prepared when something happens, he said, “that’s the life of a striker.” “These past few weeks have been difficult. Every striker misses chances, so I’m hoping to get a run.

Jesy Nelson and fiancé Zion Foster ‘split’ amid twin’s devastating diagnosis

According to reports, Jessica Nelson and her boyfriend Zion Foster are no longer together. Since the birth of their baby daughters, Story Monroe and Ocean Jade, who were both diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1, the couple has endured a difficult few months.

After dating for years through mutual friends, former Little Mix star Jesy, 34, fist engaged to rapper Zion, 27, in 2022. Their offspring’s relationship ended when they revealed they were expecting children together, which appeared to have been weakened in 2025.

The birth of Ocean Jade and Story Monroe on May 15, 2012, proved to be dramatic because they arrived prematurely and after Jesy spent weeks in the hospital with a serious condition called Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), which they later had to endure. The chart-topping actress documented the two babies’ early years for a documentary special as they spent weeks in intensive care before being finally allowed home.

After doctors told the actress that the girls may never walk, Jesy revealed her heartbreak earlier this month after her daughters were diagnosed with the rare genetic condition Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). And now, according to reports, her relationship with Zion has ended, with both parents focusing on their children’s welfare.

She and Zion are still friends and focused on their daughters, according to a source close to The Sun. They are completely at peace with co-parenting. The well-being of their daughters is still top of their list of priorities.

Jesy and Zion announced their engagement just months after their split. They made the revelation on social media in September of last year that the Boyz singer had responded and the rapper had asked the rapper to answer.

On Instagram (@jesynelson), Jesy and Zion were advised that their daughters might never walk.

Jesy explained in a video earlier this month that her daughters had been diagnosed with SMA, a genetic condition that eventually destroys body parts. The singer cried out as she grieved a life she believed she would lead with her children.

SMA causes limb floppiness, breathing difficulties, swallowing, and motor skills that are delayed. Jessica claims that she has “turned her life around” and that she is now acting as a nurse to her daughters by placing them on breathing machines and engaging in activities that no mother should be doing with their children.

After her mother noticed the twins weren’t moving as much as they should, the star first visited her GP. Jesy claimed she told herself not to “compare” the babies to other babies of the same age because she had been warned that they would develop more slowly as they were premature. Jesy pushed for answers while the twins were battling with SMA Type 1 and her daughters were given the keys to feeding.

Jesy said, “I’m not really sure where to start this video,” when she shared the news on Instagram. My mother noticed a few months ago that the girls’ legs weren’t moving as much as they should.

“It wasn’t really a problem for me at the time,” I said. Your babies are premature, so don’t compare your babies to other babies, I was told right away when I left the NICU. They simply accept them as they are, and they won’t achieve the same goals.

She said, “I didn’t really ring the alarm bells,” I was instructed not to compare them to my first child because they are my first. The girls’ health care providers reaffirmed that everything was alright and that the girls were healthy.

Later, there were some indications that the girls were having trouble consuming enough food. Our babies are not consuming as much food as they should, we would tell the doctor. They remarked that it was fine and that they should try it sparingly and frequently, she continued.

The girls have been given the most exhausting three to four months and interminable appointments, according to Jesy, who continued, “Long story short, they have been given the diagnosis of a severe disease called SMA type one.” Every muscle in the body, from the legs to the arms, is affected by spinal muscular atrophy, which affects swallowing as well. It eventually causes the body’s muscles to become dead. Your baby’s life expectancy will not exceed two if it is not treated in time.

And last week, protective father Zion criticized the lack of SMA testing as “indefensible” in a poem he posted on Instagram. He continued, “They said it’s unlikely you’ll walk, you might not be able to talk, and probably you won’t be able to hold your head up.”

That is what Jesy and I both heard. Doctors only measure what they can measure, and it became so obvious as a result. What’s the matter then?

Two young warrior girls who already know how to fight, you always have strength in your lungs when you cry. Sincerely, the milestones are not my concern. doesn’t make life look different. My concern is more profound and quiet. No matter what tomorrow brings, or what yesterday was, it’s about accepting you and loving you for who you are right now, without conditions.

Senegal beat hosts Morocco to win AFCON 2025 after farcical walk-off

Senegal stormed off the field to protest a penalty that was given to them before winning the tournament with a 1-0 extra-time win over Morocco. The match was marred by bizarre scenes in the final.

After Morocco’s star player Brahim Diaz wasted the chance to win it with a last-gasp penalty in normal time following a 14-minute delay, midfielder Pape Gueye scored the 94th-minute winner on Sunday.

Senegal coach Pape Bouna Thiaw gave his players an ultimatum before convincing them to come back.

Five minutes into stoppage time, Senegal full-back El Hadji Malick Diouf had to pull Diaz to the ground before the penalty was awarded following a VAR check by Congolese referee Jean-Jacques Ndala.

Officials and players argued before the referee’s touchline screen, then again when Senegal left.

When the players returned to the field, Diaz mistook a chip made in the Panenka style and sailed tamely into Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy’s direction.

Although losing will only add to Morocco’s poor performance in the tournament, which they only previously won 50 years ago, Senegal’s actions will be seen as a major blight on an otherwise prosperous tournament.

The Senegalese team had initially been upset by the referee’s decision to forbid foul foul play when Abdoulaye Seck headed off the post at a corner with a nod in the rebound.

However, a galvanized Senegal would almost certainly come out on top in the fourth minute of extra time, which was exactly what the crowd of 66,526 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium expected.

Idrissa Gana Gueye, who had previously released his name, was found in Mane’s midfield possession.

The Villarreal midfielder beat goalkeeper Yassine Bounou with a superb strike into the top corner as the Moroccan captain held off the backtracking Achraf Hakimi as he advanced toward the box.

Diaz was promptly replaced, especially because the Moroccans were upset.

In the second half of extra time, Nayef Aguerd headed against the crossbar, which would have prevented a penalty shootout.

The hosts, who had been hoping to win the title for the first time in front of their own fans, did not, however, have the opportunity to end a 50-year wait to become African champions for the second time.

Senegal could have been more at ease if Cherif Ndiaye had not wasted a fantastic chance to put the game away at 2-0 late in the second period, but they held on.

After winning the trophy for the first time in their history against Egypt on penalties in Yaounde in 2022, they won it for the second time in their history. They have won the Cup of Nations twice in the previous three competitions.

They will hope to convince legendary player Mane to play in another AFCON after he declared that this would be his final appearance at the tournament and that they will now prepare to travel to the United States for the World Cup in June.

Any investigation into the Senegalese team’s behavior and any errors made by Moroccan organizers will be the focus of any inquiries into the scenes surrounding the game.

The incidents occurred at the conclusion of a tense final, which had been low on goalmouth action, which was surprising given Africa’s best teams’ defensive prowess, according to the FIFA rankings.

Morocco should have scored just before the hour mark when Ayoub El Kaabi headed wide from a Bilal El Khannouss cross, but Senegal’s Iliman Ndiaye was denied by Bounou when clean through with the best chance in the first half.

Senegal escaped the penalty award before Gueye became their hero, which was remarkably the Lions of Teranga’s first goal in the AFCON final despite failing to find the net in any of their three matches.

Morocco’s campaign came to an end in agony, and many of its supporters had already left the stadium by the time the final whistle on a cold, wet night in Rabat.

Gueye said, “We really wanted to win here.” We gave everything, even though it was a very difficult match. ”

Walid Regragui, the coach of Morocco, claimed that his country was “really disappointed” by the Moroccans.

In the end, football eventually catches up with you when you score a penalty in the last minute.
