Abbey Clancy claims famous tennis player was ‘flirting’ with husband Peter Crouch

In a recent episode of the couple’s podcast, The Therapy Crouch, which revealed details about a family trip to the United Arab Emirates, Abbey Clancy’s accusation surfaced.

Abbey Clancy has claimed that a world-class tennis player was “flirting” with her husband, Peter Crouch, in the Middle East. The cheeky dig came after the pair returned from a trip to the United Arab Emirates, where Peter attended the star-packed World Sports Summit in Dubai.

Held at the Gulf state’s Madinat Jumeirah resort in December 2025, the summit styled itself as an “exclusive global gathering dedicated to inspiring the future of sport” on its official website.

While they were there, Peter and their daughter, Sophia, attended a “Battle of the Sexes” exhibition tennis match between Belarusian world number one Aryna Sabalenka and Nick Kyrgios.

Abbey said, “I was so jealous that he went there because I wanted to go as well.” In a podcast about Therapy Crouch, Abbey remarked, “I was so jealous.” Because the tennis matches are “too long” for her children, she was unable to participate.

Peter added that his daughter was able to meet Sophia’s tennis icon Sabalenka on court, before Abbey levelled a playful accusation about an interaction with her husband.

She joked, “She was flirting with you, wasn’t she?” to which Peter, who appeared to be playing along, responded, “Yeah.” Abbey first introduced Sabalenka, giving off a mock flirty voice.

Because she’s like, “Oh, I love looking up to a man’s first time,” Pete said. She didn’t say that at all, Peter responded.

He went on to say that she wasn’t “flirting at all” and that she simply stated that it was “nice to look up to someone.”

In other news, Abbey was recently flooded with messages of support as she marked her 40th birthday. The mum-of-four thanked her former Liverpool FC player partner for arranging a special day and disclosed that she’d been to Paris.

She shared photos from the trip, saying, “What a weekend for my 40th birthday, I feel so loved. Thank you to my amazing husband and my wonderful family and friends who have travelled from all over the world. I love you all.”

In response, her friends and followers took to the comments to share their birthday messages, one of whom was Carol Vorderman, who said: “Wow happy birthday top woman xx.”

Denise van Outen posted: “Happy birthday beautiful.” Meanwhile, Olivia Attwood added: “Super model!!!” That’s not all, however, as the model’s close friend, Holly Willoughby, also shared a photo of the pair on her Instagram Story.

The message, which was titled “A couples of 10s,” mentioned Holly’s birthday on February 10 and Abbey turned 40 on January 10.

Jonbon takes back-to-back Clarence House Chase wins

Jonbon made it back-to-back victories in the Clarence House Chase at Ascot as favourite Il Etait Temps fell at the second-to-last fence.

Drama before the start saw James Bowen take Jonbon’s saddle after intended rider Harry Cobden had to be assessed for injury following an earlier race.

In a four-horse field, Jonbon swept clear of Thistle Ask as the pair headed towards the finish line.

‘Older legs, but he’s brave’

Jonbon’s trainer, Nicky Henderson, admitted he had not expected the 10-year-old to take victory as they approached the final stretch of the Grade One two-miler, but he believed stamina helped him.

Speaking to ITV, he said: “I came in here thinking his record of never being out of the first two was under big threat. I really did fear that.

“He was amazing. That was an end-to-end gallop. It seemed to test them all. I thought he was beaten three out, but then he keeps going.

“He was a very fast horse. Now he’s not as fast as he was, but his stamina kicks in. He’s got older legs, but he’s brave, he jumps.

“You’ve got to be proud of him. That was a brave boy to come and do that.”

He was unsure, though, when asked whether Jonbon would now be a Cheltenham Champion Chase contender.

“I’d love to be trying him over further [distances], but things have invariably gone wrong [when I have],” Henderson said.

Gidleigh Park pulled up with six fences to go, but a fall for Il Etait Temps proved a bigger shock.

He said, “I came in here thinking his record of never leaving the first two was seriously in danger.” That was a real concern to me.

He was fantastic. That was a complete jerk. They all appeared to be tested. He continued even though I believed he had been defeated three times.

He ran very quickly, he said. He now accelerates more quickly than he did before, but his stamina builds. He jumps, but he has older legs and is brave.

You must be proud of him, he says. That boy had to step up and do that, a brave man.

When asked if Jonbon would now be a Cheltenham Champion Chase contender, he was unsure.

Trump pledges to slap tariffs on European allies over Greenland

As he intensifies his campaign to acquire the semi-autonomous territory of Denmark, President Donald Trump has stated that a number of European allies will be affected by an increasing number of tariffs for opposing US control of the island nation.

Trump stated in a post on Truth Social on Saturday that Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom would be subject to 10% tariffs starting on February 1.

He added that until an agreement is reached, the US would start levying tariffs at 25% on June 1 and continue to do so until June 1.

The European nations did not immediately react.

Trump’s announcement came as thousands of Danish citizens gathered in Danish cities to protest the Republican’s repeated threats to annex Greenland.

Protesters chanted slogans like “Kalaallit Nunaat,” the name of the Arctic island, in Greenlandic, while waving the flags of Denmark and Copenhagen in the capital.

A bipartisan US congressional delegation in Copenhagen intervened to reassure Denmark and Greenland of their support shortly after the protests.

Senator Chris Coons expressed hope that Danish citizens continue to trust the American people, adding that the US values both NATO and Denmark for what they have done together.

Trump has argued for months that the US should control Greenland since regaining control of the White House in January. He declared earlier this week that anything less than US control of the Arctic island would be “unacceptable.”

Only 6 percent of Greenlanders were in favor of the territory joining the US, according to the most recent poll conducted in January of last year.

Although efforts to change the US administration’s position have largely failed, Greenland and Denmark have since rejected the notion that the island is “owned” by the US.

The foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week in Washington, DC, and said they “didn’t manage to change the American position.”
