By four wickets, Australia won.
In the T20 series, Australia defeated India by four wickets to win by one wicket.
Only Abhishek Sharma, who top-scored with a blistering 68 from 37 deliveries, and Harshit Rana, who were bowled out for 125 in the 19th over, managed to score in double figures as India were bowled out for 125.
India fell to 32-4 on the powerplay as a result of Seamer Josh Hazlewood (3-13), who dismissed Shubman Gill, visiting captain Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma.
When Xavier Bartlett (2-39) had Rana caught at long-on, he put on 56 for the sixth wicket to give his side hope.
Abhishek was the ninth wicket to fall after Nathan Ellis trapped him for two and a half, and Jasprit Bumrah was thrown out of the opener as India’s innings came to an early end.
Mitchell Marsh, the captain of Australia, put on a 51-run opening partnership with Travis Head (28), leading the charge from the top of the order.
The home team were well on their way to hitting their target when Abhishek intercepted him off Kuldeep Yadav, and despite being cheaply dismissed, they still had 40 balls to play to finish the match.
