Argentina 24 (21)

Six minutes into Australia’s 28-24 victory over Argentina at home after a 21-7 half-time deficit, Angus Bell scored a stunning winning try.

In the 79th minute, Juan Cruz Mallia had given Argentina a 21-21 lead before the Wallabies turned down three chances to equalize with a penalty before the prop Bell went over the line.

With a score of 24-17 in their match against world champion South Africa, New Zealand extended their unbeaten streak at Eden Park to 51 matches over the course of 31 years.

Harry Wilson, the captain of Australia, was understandably proud of the bravery of his country in defeating Argentina.

Wilson, whose side rallied from a 22-5 deficit to defeat South Africa 38-22 last month, gave the team credit for their effort. “We could have gone for goal there and taken the draw,” Wilson said.

“Everyone believed that we would succeed,” the statement read. We might as well support the boys if they want to win.

We weren’t at our best, but it’s really a credit to the boys for coming up with a win against such high-quality opposition.

Following their first home victory over New Zealand in their previous game, the Pumas had traveled to Townsville in north Queensland.

And despite a Nic White try for Australia, they were able to put them 21-7 up thanks to three penalties from Santi Carreras and tries from Mateo Carreras and Bautista Delguy.

Before the late drama gave the hosts a 21-21 lead, Joseph Suaalii’s two tries gave Australia a 21-21 lead.

According to Pumas skipper Julian Montoya, “It was far from a good performance.”

All Blacks’ “gutsy” victory over South Africa is deserved.

New Zealand 24 (14)

Cons: Barrett, McKenzie, 2 Pen: McKenzie; Tries: Narawa, Jordan, and Tupaea

South Africa 17 (3)

New Zealand defeated world champion South Africa 24-17 to win their first match of the year in Auckland’s Eden Park, extending their remarkable unbeaten streak to 51 matches.

Before the Springboks could put a penalty on the scoreboard, Emoni Narawa and Will Jordan converted tries to put the hosts 14-0 ahead.

The All Blacks extended their lead after the break when a Quinn Tupaea try beat Malcolm Marx who crossed the line for South Africa.

The visitors were within a converted score of their opponents when a Cobus Reinach try held on, but New Zealand persevered to win.

Ardie Savea, who was playing his 100th Test for the All Blacks, “We knew the Springboks were going to come here and give it to us,” he said.

I’m only proud of how the boys dressed up and dressed up.
