Assaults: Police Deploy Additional Operatives To Mushin Area Of Lagos

In the state’s renowned Mushin district, additional personnel has been dispatched by the Lagos State Police Command.

Members of the Mushin community have raised concerns about the recent incidents of daylight assaults, harassment, and stealing from shops and innocent people from the streets of Mushin by teenage miscreants and hoodlums, according to the Lagos State Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin.

Hundeyin asserts that the area was invaded by street advocates who ranged in age from 14 to 16 years old.

These reports provide a thorough analysis of our operational tactics and strategies. Olohundare Jimoh, the commissioner of police for Lagos State, has immediately dispatched more police tactical squads, Police Mobile Force (PMF) personnel, and other conventional police teams to Mushin and the surrounding areas to investigate these miscreants’ activities, arrest them, and bring them to justice, according to the spokesman.

Residents are encouraged to go about their lawful business and other activities without fear or apprehension, and normalcy has been completely restored to Mushin and all other affected areas, according to him.

The Commissioner of Police has also given the Area Commander in Mushin a mandate to meet with the two local government chairmen who cover the entire region to plan actions to further enhance security and safety for the residents and traders in general.

In addition, the command has raided criminal hideouts and discovered black areas in Ishaga, Awolowo, and Ojuwoye markets where 23 of the alleged attackers are detained for allegedly stealing from shops and innocent people in the Mushin area.

The suspects are currently being looked into and will be charged soon.

These operational raids will continue until the area is completely rid of these miscreants and hoodlums.
