Aspinall ‘still can’t see’ three days after eye poke

The father of the heavyweight champion claims that his father, Tom Aspinall, has an injury that prevented him from seeing in his right eye three days after defending his title against UFC 321.

When the Briton attempted a punch late in the first round of Saturday’s main event in Abu Dhabi, Cyril Gane accidentally poked him in both eyes.

Aspinall was unable to continue the fight, so he kept his belt after it was declared a no-show.

Following the fight, the 32-year-old traveled back to England and visited an eye specialist in Manchester on Monday.

His right eye, according to Andy Aspinall, is still unable to see anything in a video posted to his son’s YouTube channel. He claimed that the color is only gray.

His left eye is only 50%, so he is still blurry and not working.

This week, the fighter will undergo additional tests and a CT scan to determine whether the bones are healthy.
