ParcelShops will be accessible in Asda’s full list of 1,200 UK locations by April 2026.
Evri ParcelShops are set to be introduced in all Asda supermarkets nationwide following a new partnership between the two firms. These counters, which allow customers to send, collect, and return parcels, are already based in over 9,000 local businesses in the UK.
The Evri service was recently launched in more than 300 Asda locations, including its Express convenience sites, various supermarkets, and superstores. By April 2026, ParcelShops will be available in Asda’s complete list of 1,200 stores across the UK.
In light of the update, Asda’s Vice President of Logistics, Chris Hall, stated: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Evri to launch a brand-new one just in time for the holiday season.
Our customers value convenience, so we offer this service, whether they’re visiting one of our Express locations for a pint of milk or carrying out their big shop in one of our larger ones.
Evri’s announcement follows its disclosure of a £50 million investment in June 2025, as it aims to double its Parcelshop and Locker network to 25,000 locations by 2030. You can find your nearest ParcelShop by visiting Evri’s website here.
This landmark agreement with fellow Leeds-based Asda strengthens our commitment to creating a delivery system that is appropriate for the contemporary UK shopper, giving them choice, convenience, and control, said Martijn de Lange, CEO of Evri.
“We are confident in the opportunities that this new partnership will provide, helping us to further our goal of expanding our capabilities and offering an even more comprehensive, cost-effective, and customer-focused service throughout the UK and beyond.

The news of Evri’s new ParcelShops comes amid growing concern about the future of Post Offices in the UK. According to the Daily Record, approximately 6,000 Post Offices nationwide are currently at risk of permanent closure, and earlier in April, over 100 were set to be ‘offloaded’ as part of a move to fully franchise its network.
The Government’s consultation on the future of the Post Office, which ended this month, was the start of a Green Paper consultation that the government held earlier in 2025. The government’s plans for post offices over the next ten years and beyond were the focus of this open consultation.
Post Office CEO Neil Brocklehurst stated in September that post office has been a fundamental component of British culture for almost 400 years. However, we cannot afford to remain motionless.
“Shop, transact, and communicate in a completely new way thanks to digital technologies. And like any modern retailer, we must evolve to meet customer demand and offer the goods and services that will help our postmasters and partners who run our branch network make money.
Our Green Paper response outlines how we want to collaborate with the government to create a clear vision for Post Office’s transition into the coming decade.
It means strengthening our position on British high streets and rural communities to offer those face-to-face services that so many people value, as well as expanding our online offering to become more profitable, forward-thinking, and sustainable.
Post offices can significantly improve the state of our high streets, spur economic growth, and modernize government services. As we continue to transform this vital organization, I’m looking forward to working with our postmasters, partners, customers, and the government. I’m also optimistic that there will be a robust and vibrant post office network for decades to come.
