ASAP Rocky reveals huge new career move days after not guilty verdict in firearm case

ASAP Rocky has announced a significant new role just days after being found innocent of firearms-related charges.
After being charged with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon, the 36-year-old rapper made an appearance in a courtroom in Los Angeles on Tuesday to find out his fate. The star, who immediately ran to his partner Rihanna for an emotional embrace as the audience cheered with joy, was pleased with the outcome.
The three-week trial ended with the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, being able to go free. As he left the courtroom with his partner, three-time Grammy nominee Rocky told the jurors: “Thank y’all for saving my life”.

Rocky is now the first Creative Director for the upscale brand Ray-Ban, and Rocky recently took to Instagram to share his newest job. He shared the brand’s post on his Stories. On the company’s main post, over 100, 000 people liked the news and quickly shared their thoughts in the comments section. One user wrote: “In Rihanna’s words ‘ I got my Ray ban’s on I’m feeling hella good tonight'”, followed by clapping hands emojis.
Another penned: “This is amazing”, while a third said: “Beat a charge and got a new bag”, alongside an emoji face with sunglasses on.
Rocky quickly praised the efforts of his legal team and made a special pledge following his not-guilty verdict. The star shares sons RZA, two, and Riot Rose, one, with Rihanna, and the doting dad made it clear that he was terrified to go to jail and leave his family behind.
And now the lawyer who represented him has revealed what the star told him after he left. Tacopina has revealed to Extra: “Rihanna and Rocky said to me in the courtroom yesterday, they grabbed me and they said, ‘ Listen, our next baby is A $AP Joe'”.
He added that Rocky told him he “loved” him, and called him “family” while sharing his gratitude after the hearing. He continued to claim that he “wound up accidentally babysitting for the first child” at the 2023 Super Bowl when Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy while performing at the halftime show.
He described how Rihanna and Rocky worked together to prepare for the main half-time show. The lawyer was then reportedly asked by Rocky if he would be willing to have a pedicure so that he could look after his child. “So I babysat for an hour and a half”, he said. He and most of his clients had a different relationship, according to the statement.
