Eberechi Eze, a Crystal Palace attacker, has been moved by Arsenal.
According to sources, Arsenal will offer around £60 million for the England international, who also has a Tottenham desire.
Over the past few days, talks between Tottenham and Crystal Palace had gotten more and more serious, with numerous sources reporting that things were progressing favorably. No agreement has yet to be reached, though.
The forward Kai Havertz sustained a knee injury, which the Gunners are concerned about, and Eze, 27, would give Mikel Arteta a field opportunity there.
As they continue to be “committed to the team,” Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner announced on Wednesday that Eze will start against Fredrikstad on Thursday in the Uefa Conference League play-off match, along with Marc Guehi, who is linked to Liverpool.
Before the transfer window closes on September 1st, sources have informed BBC Sport Eze that Arsenal is interested.
When Palace drew 0-0 with Chelsea on Sunday, Eze was denied a goal.
The England international’s contract expires at the end of his contract, which is worth an initial £60 million plus an additional £8 million in add-ons.
Eze scored 14 goals in total last season, which was a huge help to Palace, who won the FA Cup final 1-0 against Manchester City.
