Pedro Rubiolo, a Bristol Bears forward, has agreed to a new “long-term” deal with the Prem club.

The Uruguay lock, 23, signed a three-year deal with Newcastle Red Bulls in 2024 and has since agreed to extend it.

Rubiolo has made three appearances for the Bears this year, putting them in fifth place in the standings after seven games.

Director of rugby Pat Lam expressed his delight in choosing Pedro to commit his long-term future to the Bears.

He is already one of the best second rows in the world game at the age of 23.

His impact has been exceptional since he arrived in Bristol, and he has quickly won the respect of his team-mates and the entire club.

His physicality and work rate are obvious, but his unwavering complacency is just as impressive. Pedro’s attitude sets him apart from other competitors in both competitions and training.

Rubiolo already has 32 caps for Argentina, helping them to win the world’s sixth title this year over South Africa and New Zealand.

I’ve been very welcomed into the club, and I love how we work, train, and play together, he said.

I firmly believe in the organization that the club is constructing, and I want to continue developing as a player and contributing to the team’s success.

Bristol have not specified Rubiolo’s new contract’s precise length.
