Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima’s administration has been backed by the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), a well-known quasi-political and socio-cultural organization in the north, for the duration of their support.
The organization made the commitment when its leadership invited the Vice President to the presidential villa in Abuja ahead of the 25th anniversary of the ACF.
Bashir Dalhatu, the chairman of the ACF board of trustees, expressed satisfaction with the partnership between Vice President Shettima, Vice President Tinubu, and other sons and people from the northern region.
According to Dalhatu, the vice president continues to be the government’s number one ambassador to the north, standing up for the north in the country. He also works for Nigeria’s interests as a whole.
The Vice President is “our number one ambassador,” according to the northerners. We have seen that he has taken our spirit, our image, and our aspirations into account in this administration because of his image.
He has a 100% support for the president. The ACF BoT Chairman stated that we are very proud of the support he and all of our children are giving this government.
He stated that the ACF will continue to support the government under President Tinubu’s leadership.
They serve as excellent ambassadors. We’ll continue to support them despite their accomplishments. However, we will also continue to highlight areas where we believe improvement can be made for all Nigerians, not just those in the north, he continued.
The Arewa Consultative Forum was established in 2000 to advance the political interests of the people of northern Nigeria.
The ACF BoT Chairman stated in the scorecard that the organization has intervened in numerous areas of the north and throughout Nigeria.
He claims that there were a lot of other socio-cultural organizations when the forum was founded in 2000. However, the governors, the emirs, the chiefs, the sultan, and everyone else who were there at the time convened to urge a single organization that would unite our people before moving on in the same spirit to unite the nation. We did it correctly.
“We have intervened in a number of conflict-stricken regions of the north. Advice has been given. We’ve written reports. We’ve been to and discussed. In addition to these programs, we have intervened in numerous areas of social and economic development. This attitude will be continued by us.
There were “so many areas of conflict in the north” prior to the arrival of ACF. We have managed to reduce a lot of it, even though they haven’t finished completely, and I think everyone can now see the difference.
We have also continued to educate and inform people about how to be self-sufficient and how to work together to promote a prosperous Nigerian economy and, in turn, to support the growth of this nation’s economy.
The ACF leadership stated that the country’s progress would be aided by the silver jubilee anniversary by encouraging peace and harmony among the various regions and tribes of Nigeria.
