Anthony Joshua, a former heavyweight boxing champion, posted his first social media post since a tragic car crash in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two of his closest friends and team members.
Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele were tragically killed in the tragic accident that took place on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway on December 29. Joshua, 36, was one of the victims, but he thankfully escaped with only minor wounds.

Joshua spent the night in the hospital following the incident, but he later recovered on New Year’s Eve. He returned to the UK on Saturday, and he broke his silence with a moving post on Sunday that appeared on all of his social media accounts.

Joshua thanked his fallen friends in the heartfelt message for their support in the wake of the tragedy while honoring their memories.
In a quiet but powerful show of unity, Joshua was depicted alongside Sina and Latz’s families in the post. He captioned the image “My Brother’s Keeper,” which was a brief, moving line.

On Sunday (today), Sina and Latz’s remains will be laid to rest.
Due to a reported brake failure, Joshua’s SUV, which was carrying him and three others, collided with a stationary truck.
After adjusting from the backseat just before the impact, Joshua, who had just won the game against Jake Paul, had just arrived in Nigeria for a vacation. He escaped death.
