Angry Ginge has been hailed as a ‘ role model ‘ by many online after Michelle Elman, life coach, author, and influencer, praised him for having ‘ game-changing ‘ chats

Angry Ginge is capturing the hearts of a new generation during his stint in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, and his latest confession has even more people praising him.

Life coach, author and influencer Michelle Elman, who has written books like ‘The Joy of Being Selfish’ and ‘Bad Friend,’ explained that she thought Angry Ginge’s confession about being sober was really important. She said it was “actually game-changing” that the “24-year-old man” had specifically said the words “I don’t need alcohol in order to have a personality.”

It’s a simple enough statement – but it makes a huge impact. This is because there are so many boys and young men looking up to him that will internalise what he says.

Michelle said: “In a society and a culture that is so focused on pub culture, drinking culture, binge drinking culture in particular]his words are so important]”.

She said “having those three generations talk about their own experiences, all slightly different, and being open about the stigma they face for being boring for not drinking is huge”.

Michelle shared that as a life coach, one of the main insecurities that she hears about is people going sober and then “worrying about dating”. This is especially when they’re single, because “someone might find them unattractive” for not being perceived to let their hair down.

She also said people worry they won’t be able to bag a second date with someone because “they’re teetotal” or because they choose to “drink less”.

Michelle added: “Having this openness on TV, especially for someone who is very popular with younger men, it’s demonstrating that you can be cool, you can be popular, and you can be sober”.

The author believes this is when the ITV show is “at its best” as it shows important conversations people are having in life. And judging by her comments section on Instagram, people were equally as moved by the on-screen moment.

In the comments, someone wrote: “I loved seeing the conversation around sobriety (as someone is over two years in) and how they were all so honest and open about it. Hopefully it makes a difference to someone younger than me”!

Another gushed: “Angry Ginge is HUGE for the younger male demographic. He has a fantastic role model and is a part of a very well-known television program. Both of my daughters are typically too cool to watch boys (18 andamp; 20) having relationships. Both are LOCKED IN to watch Angry Ginge, and I totally agree with what you say.
