TV presenter Angellica Bell has announced a new role, with her sharing excitement over the opportunity. It comes amid rumours that she could compete on Strictly Come Dancing after taking part in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.

Angellica, 49, was chosen this week to serve as the Girlguiding organization’s ambassador. She has been chosen to assist in the launch of 72 additional badges across Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers, which will be available to girls between the ages of four and eight.

The range of new badges, co-designed by more than 20,000 girls and volunteers, will be added to and replaced traditional ones, as reported by PA. They will reward participants for activities including critiquing food, mechanics and party hosting.

The badges, which are given to girls who complete a certain task on their uniform, are broken up into sections to promote self-assurance, self-knowledge, and adventure. 11 000 girls from 753 Girlguiding units in the UK helped try out the designs, which totaled more than 4 000.

The developments were made in response to requests for more options, activities to promote climate change, boost confidence, and promote people’s interests. Different age groups can earn various badges, ranging from interests to skill-building to unit meeting activities.

Rainbows, the youngest, are inspired by their environmental impact, their discovery and sharing their “guiding sparkle,” and why they are so passionate about Girlguiding.

While Brownies have a modified version of the “hostess” badge called “Celebrations,” which can be earned by hosting a party and providing food, activities, and decorations. Instead, guides can customise, recycle, and repurpose objects to earn the “thrift” badge.

Angellica, who has been appointed as an ambassador to help launch the initiative, wants to inspire girls to enjoy themselves while facing challenges. She remarked, “It was a real blast to try out the new badges with Girlguiding staff members.”

I have seen first-hand how crucial it is for girls to engage in non-traditional learning while also having fun. I’m very excited to be joining Girlguiding as an ambassador because I enjoy challenging challenges and care about making sure girls’ voices are heard.

Angellica added: “Girlguiding offers a safe and welcoming space for all girls, and I am so impressed by the work they do to build girls’ confidence and wellbeing, whilst tackling important issues impacting their lives such as online harm, sexism and misogyny. In a world where the voices of girls and young women are not always fairly heard, I am proud to stand alongside Girlguiding and will be using my voice to speak up for equality and to show that girls can do anything.”

The Royal Horticultural Society, the Children’s Book Project, Bletchley Park, and the Wellbeing of Women charity collaborated to create the badge activities.

The launch of these new badges is a significant milestone for Girlguiding, said acting chief executive Amanda Azeez. They were created by girls, specifically for girls, which is crucial to keeping them in line with their needs and wants.

“It was incredible and really inspiring the girls and volunteers responded to the consultation process. I’m looking forward to seeing the effects these activities have on girls, boosting their confidence, and empowering them to know they can do anything, because there is something for everyone among the new badges.

Angellica’s latest role comes amid speculation that she could take part in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. She’s among the celebrities rumoured for the BBC show, which is set to return to screens in the coming months.

The latest line-up rumours come after Angellica, who rose to fame as a presenter on CBBC, competed on the most recent series of the celebrity edition of Big Brother. She’s previously competed on TV shows like Celebrity MasterChef.

More than 15, 000 girls contributed to the 72 new interest badges created by Girlguiding. There is something for every girl, from entomology to interior design, to My Voice to Laugher. Visit Girlguiding for more information about volunteering. org. to promote girls’ potential.
