Amy Hart has opened up about the highs and lows of parenting after welcoming her first baby on March 2, 2023. The Love Island star shares son Stanley with husband Sam Rason, and she made it clear the little boy has already given them plenty to be proud of.

Asked about her proudest moment during an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Amy, 31, shared: “I think my proudest is just Stanley’s social skills and the fact that he just loves everyone and he just loves life.”

The ITV star has been open about trying to have a second child in the past, and explained of her excitement: “We always say we can’t wait to have a second child to see whether it actually was anything that we did or whether it was just him. But a lot of people say to us that, you know, the reason he’s so chilled is because of you guys.”

Amy did admit that it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, considering she’s busy as a content creator and podcaster. She said that for her, the most challenging thing about motherhood was “trying to juggle work and him… there’s only a certain number of years before he goes to school and I want to make the most of them, but also I do have to work as well.”

However, the former British Airways stewardess said that she’d figured out the best way to make things work for her career and her family.

“I want to give him real quality time so I try and set aside days that are ‘ no work days ‘ and then sort of just smash out all the work on the days I am working just so that he gets my full attention”, she said.

Amy, who has just launched her Amy Hart’s Mum’s Club podcast explained that she wouldn’t want to spend time with Stanley by “sticking him in front of the telly” while she works in the background, so instead makes sure she gets all of her work done while he’s with her doting family or at his baby group.

Amy and Sam tied the knot in September 2024, opting for a destination wedding with 155 guests in Málaga, Spain, when Stanley was just 18 months old.

Asked how she handled the major getaway, Amy explained that having so many friends and family there helped, with everyone willing to pitch in and look after the little one while she and Sam prepped.

She also had some major advice for how to sit back and enjoy a big event with kids present, sharing that she contacted someone she’d met who worked at a nursery in Spain and asked if she’d like to go to the wedding and be “legally responsible for]Stanley] i. e sober”.

Amy and Sam were in Spain for two weeks before the four-day-long wedding celebrations, and prepped Stanley for the big day by setting up plenty of play dates with him and their childminder, Ellie, before they walked down the aisle.

She added that getting professional help can come in super handy, and while family members might offer to look after the kids: “Everyone wants to do it until the shots come out at 10 o’clock”. Amy gushed: “Having someone there that is legally responsible for your child, that is sober… is amazing”.

After a couple of years as a mum, Amy summarised her main advice for other parents. “I]always] say if you’re lucky enough to have help offered to you, take it. People are offering it because they want to help you”, she urged.
