Months after she admitted to living apart, Amanda Holden and husband Chris Hughes recently celebrated 17 years of marriage.

Amanda Holden has opened up about the secrets to keeping her long-term marriage alive. The Britain’s Got Talent judge and her husband Chris Hughes recently marked their 17th wedding anniversary after saying “I do” in Somerset back in 2008.

Although she acknowledged that they don’t typically exchange presents at special occasions, they do so in a variety of ways.

When Amanda questioned their “very controversial” formula for marital longevity, Amanda said, “Everyone gets cooped up with their children, their schedules, and the drama that surround them as they get older.

However, keep in mind that your husband and you were first married.

The 54-year-old added to Closer Magazine, “You have to invest in that relationship for the sake of your children as well as your own.”

That is therefore extremely crucial. Although it has some controversy, research also supports it.

Amanda and Chris have two daughters named Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13, who have been together for more than 20 years.

The couple first crossed paths in 2003 in Los Angeles, after Amanda’s marriage to Les Dennis had ended.

The radio host has previously admitted they lead “separate lives” despite living together as a family.

On Heart Radio, she revealed: “Our lives have been very separate for a long time because we’re both very busy.

We’re obviously very happy to be married, but we also do a lot of things together. He runs and plays squash with me.

He also has a sizable career. You are aware that we are always at odds with one another.

In an effort to spend more time together, Amanda revealed her husband suggested they take up Badminton.

She stated to listeners in February that she frequently played it with the kids in the back garden during the summer.

I’ve always loved it because it’s such a good game. Tomorrow will be our first ever basketball game.

“I adore a Badminton racket because I can really whack that shuttlecock,” the statement read.

The presenter has previously spoken publicly about her marriage.

in a previous discussion with OK! She stated in a magazine that having a great sense of humor was essential to establishing a successful partnership.

She continued, “I really fancy Chris. He’ll go to the loo, we’ll have dinner in a restaurant, and I’ll go up and see a man who looks fit. Then I’ll realize that my husband is actually me.
