Amanda Holden, a member of The Celebrity Inner Circle, has admitted that Lexi and Hollie, her daughters, “hate it” whenever she mentions them in public.

Radio and TV host Amanda Holden has revealed that her daughters don’t like listening to her when she’s on the airwaves, as she often drops personal bombshells about family life.

Amanda hosts the Heart FM Breakfast Show with Jamie Theakston between 6:30am and 10am, and has confessed that her daughters are usually forced to tune in because her husband Chris Hughes puts the radio on in the car.

Amanda, 54, was telling the Tea at Four podcast about how she’s trying to bring up her daughters Lexi and Hollie to be strong and hard-working, before insisting they have no interest in what she does.

However, this doesn’t mean there haven’t been other incidents, like the one where Amanda mentioned her eldest daughter Lexi’s boyfriend’s name on television.

She continued, “I’m attempting to raise my girls to be strong and diligent.” They both seem to be pissed off with me all the time because they have no interest in anything I do.

When I asked my husband if they would watch her show, she responded, “Only because they wouldn’t, and they hate it because I mention them a lot.

“I entered the public with my daughter’s boyfriend’s name.” She said, “Mummy, did you get a mention this morning? She was like, she’s at uni.” Yes, I mentioned his mother, I suppose. I enjoy giving shoutouts.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge has urged her daughters to become resilient if they do want a career in the spotlight eventually.

The host of The Inner Circle recently told The Sun, “You do have to develop thick skin, and they both know that Mummy has one, and we take everything in our house with a pinch of salt.”

“I hope they have learned enough from me,” I said. Because, it’s obvious that they’ve been watching and hearing things, but they’re not entirely interested in me or my career.

Amanda has been managing her relationship with her daughters, but her overall family has grown exponentially since the arrival of her rescue cat in Cobham, Surrey.

The cat joins fellow feline Muffy and two rescue dogs, Minnie and Rudy, as part of the Holden clan. Sharing a photo of the new arrival on social media Amanda said: “Our lovely rescue from Corfu is settling down and the dogs are quite chilled! Princess Muffy has deigned to come downstairs a few times and sniff about but is still making her displeasure heard!

Because he is so quick, we gave him the nickname “Bolt!” And can stowah into the kitchen door, which we installed with a six-foot gate to protect him!

“There are lots of strays in the world, including our country- they are everywhere but there are so many amazing people doing their best to help.
