What time and location are The Ashes?

The 2025 Ashes series begins in Perth on November 21 and the final test will be in Sydney on January 3.

The complete schedule is available here:

The Ashes format: what is it?

Australia and England play five Test matches in the Ashes.

Each side takes turns hosting the series during their respective summers, which is done every two years.

With four possible outcomes, including an Australia win, an England win, a draw, and a tie, each game can last for five days.

The Test winning team wins the series and wins the Ashes.

Where are the games being played?

The Optus Stadium will host the first Test in Perth. The Waca will host all 13 Ashes Tests in Perth, including the previous one that was held there. This will be the first time the ground will host an Ashes Test.

For the first time since 1982-83, Australia will play at home against the Gabba in Brisbane.

The Gabba will host the second Test from 4 to 8 December, where Australia have won 13 of their 22 Ashes Tests and haven’t lost to England in the format since 1986.

The first Ashes Test to be played at the stadium under floodlights will be a day-night match featuring a pink ball.

The third Test will then take place at the Adelaide Oval on December 17 through December 21.

The traditional Boxing Day Test will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which is 100 and 024 feet long, on December 26 (23: 30 GMT on December 25).

Who is a member of England Ashes?

Ben Stokes, England’s captain, has led a similar group of players over the past few years, leading them to a comfortable position.

Stokes has had operations on his left knee and hamstring for the past two years, and he suffered a shoulder injury that prevented him from missing the fifth India Test in August.

Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, and wicketkeeper Jamie Smith will play their first Ashes Tests down under, while Batter Joe Root and Jamie Smith will both search for a century in Australia.

Who will bat at three against current leader Ollie Pope while Jacob Bethell is in charge in one of the key selection debates?

England had a long-term plan to travel to Australia with a battery of bowlers who were notoriously quick, and that was succeeded by Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, Josh Tongue, Gus Atkinson, and Brydon Carse.

Who is a member of the Ashes squad from Australia?

Pat Cummins, the captain of Australia, will miss the first Test while he recovers from a lower back injury to be fully fit.

The side will be led in Perth by Batter Steve Smith, who has a stellar record against England.

Scott Boland, who has been Australia’s backup seamer in recent years, will take Cummins’ place in the side. In the XI, he should play alongside spinner Nathan Lyon and regular Mitchell Star.

However, Josh Hazlewood’s hamstring injury caused Australia to lose another match one week after the first Test. Brendan Doggett, who is not capped, might make his debut.

With uncapped Tasmanian batter Jake Weatherald named as the squad’s opener, Australia must work out their top order.

Who will win The Ashes as odds are on?

Australia, who have won the Ashes since 2017, enter the series as favorites.

England’s victory in the 2010 and 2010 series was the last series that the away side won.

The away team has won the series only twice in the past (Australia in 2001 and England in 2010-11).

England have lost 5-0, 4-0, and 4-0 in their previous three appearances in Australia.

The Ashes has previously won.

England won a three-test series 2-1 in Australia during the first edition of the men’s Ashes in 1882-1883.

There have been 73 Ashes series victories, with England and Australia winning each with 32 points. In six of those series, the other seven ended in draws with Australia holding on to the Ashes.

Australia won the Ashes Tests in 345 games, while England won with a score of 110 and England with a score of 93.

The men’s Ashes series’ results for this century are as follows:

  • Australia retained the Ashes with a 4-1 victory in England in 2001.
  • Australia won the 2002-03 match 4-1 to keep the Ashes.
  • England won the Ashes Cup in 2005 with a 2-1 victory.
  • Australia won the Ashes Games 2006-07 with a 5-0 victory.
  • England won the Ashes in 2009 with a 2-1 victory.
  • England retains the Ashes title with a 3-0 victory in 2013 in England.
  • Australia won the 2013-14 series 5-0 to regain the Ashes.
  • England won the 2015 championship game 3-2 to reclaim the Ashes.
  • Australia won the 2017-18 competition with a 4-0 win to reclaim the Ashes.
  • 2019 in England: Withdrawn 2-2, Australia still holds the Ashes.
  • Australia vs. Australia 2021-22 for a 4-0 victory to keep the Ashes.
  • England 2023 draw 2 for a draw to keep the Ashes.
