Alison, a relative newcomer to The Great British Bake Off, argued that Paul Hollywood’s so-called Hollywood handshake this year was “dead stingy.”

Alison Hammond has declared that she’s “got to try it” as she explained why she blames Paul Hollywood for a 2kg weight gain. In a recent interview, Alison, who once revealed that she weighed in at “nearly 30st” before embarking on an astonishing weight loss journey, admitted that she’d put 2kg on over the course of the current series of The Great British Bake Off.

A relative newcomer to the Channel 4 show, Alison, now in her third series as co-host alongside Mighty Boosh funnyman Noel Fielding, described how Paul had been “dead stingy” with his so-called Hollywood handshake this year.

The bakers are given them by the celebrity chef, but Alison claims he hasn’t received a “Hollywood handshake in real life,” alleging that the Bake Off judge is actually “funny about them.”

It seems that this particular form of recognition is enough to convince Alison of the quality of the contestant’s submissions, so much so, in fact, she was unable to “hold back”.

When asked if she would like to try one of Paul’s legendary appreciative handshakes, Alison admitted that she “got to try it.”

Alison told The Guardian: “I tried to hold back but I still put on 2kg this series. When I see a handshake, I’ve got to try it. I always taste the winning technical and best showstopper.”

She further stated, “I’m but I’ve not had time lately, but I’m still trying to lose weight.” I went to the gym yesterday and, babes, I believe I pulled a muscle. I thought, “This is too old for me.”

Following a troubling pre-diabetic health assessment, Alison previously revealed that she had set out to lead a healthier lifestyle and that she had lost 13st 7lbs.

She sought the advice of a fitness trainer, but she claimed to lose weight without following a strict diet. Instead, it was reported that she didn’t “deny” herself and that she had been trying to eat in “moderation” when Heat magazine received information in October. She also claimed to have been the subject of “persistent questions.”

At the Women of the Year awards, she addressed Richard Eden of the Daily Mail: “It worries me that the joke keeps coming up. That is the question that is posed to me whenever we speak in public.

Alison responded, “absolutely not,” when questioned about whether she engages in such behavior. However, she further explained why she wouldn’t rule out weight-loss jabs in subsequent comments.

She responded, “Oh, no, I wouldn’t have the jab ever,” and she said, “I don’t like the fact that you have to.” Maybe next year. What do you know? I might begin a jab. What factors are important for weight loss?

Alison posed the question, “Would you rather me die from obesity,” in a final moving response.
