Alfie Wise, an actor, passed away at the age of 82, has been revealed. He is best remembered for his roles in movies like Smokey and the Bandit, in which his late friend Burt Reynolds was a star and who he co-starred with on numerous projects throughout his career.

Alfie passed away two weeks ago at a Florida medical facility as a result of natural causes, according to reports this week. Stephanie Bliss, his partner, who has been referred to as his longtime fiancée, shared the news with the Hollywood Reporter.

Before retiring 25 years ago, Alfie had a decades-long acting career. He made his acting debut with the 1972 film Call Her Mom, and the following year he also appeared in the CBS sitcom The Sandy Duncan Show.

Over the course of his career, he and his late friend Burt, who passed away seven years ago, participated in a number of projects. The two actors are alleged to have collaborated for the 1974 film Longest Yard.

Both of them were portrayed by Burt and Jerry Reed in Smokey and the Bandit (1977), which focused on the portrayals of Cledus and Bo the Bandit in The Snowman Snow. In the movie, Alfie played a patrolman.

Alfie and Burt both appeared in the 1978 films Hooper and The End, both of which were screened the following year. In the second movie, Burt portrayed Sonny Hooper as the stuntman, while Alfie was portrayed as Tony, the main character’s assistant.

Starting Over (1979) also featured Alfie and Burt. They continued to work together in the 1980s, with their joint credits including the films Paternity (1981), the Cannonball Run (1981), Stroker Ace (1983), City Heat (1984) and Heat (1986).

Alfie reprised her role in the ABC detective drama series B. L. Stryker, in which Burt played the titular character later in the decade. The television program, which aired for two seasons between 1989 and 1990, featured Alfie as Oliver Wardell.

Other acting credits include those in films like Hot Stuff (1979). While his other TV roles included Sidney “Hatter” Pacelli as a paramedic on the 1983 ABC medical drama Trauma Center.

He is said to have stopped acting in 2000. The 1999 television series Miami 7, in which S Club 7 was a star, is Alfie’s final work. He played Howard Borlotti, the hotel owner of the fictionalized bandmates’ workplace in Miami.

Following the announcement of Alfie’s passing, tributes have been paid to him. On X, someone wrote, “This has been a difficult week for my childhood. When Charlie Wise appeared on screen, he always made me smile.

Alfie’s comments came shortly after Burt, who passed away in 2018, at the age of 82, were made. Following the recent announcement that Burt’s ex-wife Loni Anderson had passed away, aged 79, as a result of a “prolonged” illness, the news of his friend’s death comes as a result of a recent announcement. On the 1983 film Stroker Ace, Loni and Alfie collaborated, and she also appeared on the television series B. L. Stryker.
