A new show has been announced by Alan Carr and Disney+ that could allow the funny man to purchase something extraordinary for himself.
Alan Carr triumphed in The Traitors castle – and is now planning to buy one of his own as part of a new TV Series. New Disney+ show ‘Castle Man’ will see comedian Alan ready to take on something described as the “biggest gig of his life” – purchasing and running a historic castle.
Alan “finds himself at a moment of reckoning” where he is taking stock of both where he is and where he wants to be as his 50th birthday draws near. He has long desired to own a grand château, according to Disney+ creators.
But will that fantasy finally come true after a transformative and renowned stay at The Traitor’s castle, or will it? He wants to live in one, a leap of faith driven entirely by Alan himself, not just to visit a castle.

Celebrity Traitors winner at the end of 2025, joker Alan, who announcing the show, said: “Some men buy a Lamborghini or ponytail, but I want my very own castle.
I’ve always had big dreams since I was a boy in Northampton, and now that I’m fifty, I think it’s the right time. Get me over that drawbridge, I only want a turret to call my own.
The filming for the program will begin this week, and it will go on Disney+ later this year. What an incredible project, Alan Carr looking to purchase a castle befitting his status as comedy royalty and a national treasure, and soon finding himself responsible for the very real, right royal pain of making it all work, according to Ben Wicks, Creative Director, Entertainment, and executive producer from makers Expectation.
“We’re delighted to be following Alan’s dramatic, undoubtedly hilarious journey with Disney, who thankfully have a lot more castle history.”
And Disney+ added that Alan Carr is one of those rare talents who can transform anything he touches into instant warmth, wit, and originality.
We’ve seen him transition from stand-up, gameshows, podcasts, and presenting, but when we learned he was looking to buy a castle to run, we knew we had to go along with the adventure. With all the same riotous entertainment you know and love, experience Alan in a new way.
Alan was recently linked to hosting Strictly Come Dancing with pal Amanda Holden but the pair moved quickly to rule themselves out. Alan said this week: “No, we said no ages ago.”
Alan and Amanda have starred in popular BBC renovation shows together, primarily focusing on renovating properties in Italy and Greece, such as “Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job” and the recently aired “Amanda & Alan’s Greek Job”. But on the castle show for Disney+ he will be on his own.
