
Victor Osimhen, Calvin Bassey, and Ademola Lookman are among the three Nigerians in the Confederation’s Best XI for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
About three days after the tournament, the CAF released the list, which was dominated by Moroccans, Senegalese, and Nigerians.
The Super Eagles won bronze in Morocco after Osimhen played in six games for them. He is a three-time African champion. The competition saw the scoring of four goals by the Galatasary forward.
Lookman, a fellow Atalanta winger and compatriot, scored three goals and assisted four in the AFCON.

Bassey’s inclusion in Fulham’s program was not accidental. In his six matches with the Nigerian defense, the former Rangersman kept three clean sheets.
The defender, who was suspended, played the entire game for Coach Eric Chelle’s Morocco side but did not participate in the third-place play-off.
The team of the competition was led by Morocco, Senegal, and Nigeria had three people on the list.
