The question is a Samba Mary Jane from adidas Originals. You read that correctly, I guess. a synthesis of the iconic and in-demand Samba and the Mary Jane, a well-known and popular 2025 shoe trend,
The outcome ? a hybrid, sporty shoe that is neither Mary Jane nor a trainer. This new shoe style, which retails for £80, is available in on-trend red, black with white stripes, and classic white with black stripes.

These conterversial shoes have been quickly shared by Samba fans and fashion lovers on social media, with some calling them the “shoe of the summer” and others comparing them to children’s school shoes.
I wear Adidas samba and am a fan of both of these shoes. I adore shoes that have a gum sole that makes them look comfier and feminine than sambas, but they definitely look comfier than traditional pair of Mary Janes.
