At his wedding to Holly Ramsay last weekend, Adam Peaty’s sister Bethany, who was a bridesmaid, was the only person on his side of the family.
Adam Peaty got married to Holly Ramsay less than a week ago – now new photos from their big day show the truth about their wedding, which was only attended by one member of Adam’s family.
In the run up to their nuptials it was reported that the Olympic swimmer had uninvited most of his side of the family following a family fallout. This included his ‘heartbroken’ mum Caroline and dad Mark.
As a result, Adam’s family was the only ones with Bethany, who played one of Holly’s bridesmaids alongside her sisters Megan, 27, and Tilly, 24, who also played the part in the starring role.
However, despite the ongoing family feud, Judi James claims that the group photo in Bath Abbey, where the ceremony took place, “says it all” regarding Adam’s real feelings regarding the fallout.
She told the Mirror: “His back is ramrod straight, and his chest puffed and splayed in a ritual of alpha pride. He looks straight into the camera with a confident stare and there are no denial signals or micro-rituals to define anything other than happy achievement.
“His expression looks resilient, like a man who has achieved or got exactly what he wanted and who wants the world to know it.”
While his new wife Holly looked equally happy in the photos taken by Vogue and appeared to be taking her bridal duties all in her stride. Judi observed: “Holly turns her torso in towards her husband and her body language signals loving joy.
Throughout the entire day of the shoot, her confidence levels are “absolutely brimming,” and whether she poses poses for Vogue-style poses or does adoration for Adam, she is pitch-perfect. She may be able to inspire some of Adam’s confidence by tying her hands to his face as they kiss. He simply rests his hands on her waist, which makes for a tender steering motion.
Judi continued: “There is a similarly confident touch ritual as she poses between her mother and Victoria Beckham. Her hand is on Victoria’s thigh, suggesting links of family rather than friends.
Adam’s nonverbal gestures and stance suggest a rigid, unshakeable desire to put everything into them for the sake of his stunning wife, despite the fact that he appears a little less comfortable in the fashion spread poses.
In other photos, Judi quotes Holly as saying, “We see her surrounded by her “girls,” using bonding and touch rituals to show affection and even protection, even though Holly appears to be herself capable of doing so.”
However, Gordon Ramsay, Holly’s famous father, appears in the wedding photos as a different, more rash person than his usual brash self. The 59-year-old bride’s father, according to Judi, is far from his former self-assurance.
She stated, “Gordon Ramsay poses in another protectively loving pose while adopting some rather sweetly rigid poses.”
However, despite this, he continued to appear to be mocking Adam’s family during his speech. He claimed in it that now that Adam is no longer living with his own mother, Caroline, he will be a good mother to both.
He reportedly told Adam he was a “lucky man,” and said, “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.” Then Gordon is said to have insulted Adam’s disinterested parents by saying, “Shame you don’t have the same.”
Shortly before Adam tied the knot with Holly, his mother revealed she felt the couple had “cut out her heart” with the brutal snub, which reportedly began when Caroline purchased a dress for the big day that the bride and groom didn’t like.
