Caroline, Adam’s heartbroken mother, explained on the day of the ceremony that Caroline’s mother had felt like “they had cut my heart out” from the fallout. However, that didn’t stop Adam and Holly from vow-making in front of a packed house.
After being turned down for her son’s wedding this weekend, Adam Peaty’s mother has reportedly been grieving beside herself and has pledged never to experience such pain again.
On Saturday, December 27 Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay tied the knot at the historic venue amid the hugely public fallout between Adam and his family, which led to his nearest and dearest being dramatically uninvited. The only member of his close clan that seemed to be in support on his special day was his sister, Bethany.
His heartbroken mother, Caroline, revealed on the eve of the ceremony that the fallout had felt like ‘they have cut my heart out’. But it didn’t stop Adam and Holly exchanging vows in front of a star-studded crowd, including the likes of David and Victoria Beckham and Dan Walker.

The newlyweds were taken from church at around 1.30pm to receive a joyful oasel from the abbey bells and whisked away to their reception at Kin House, a Georgian manor house close to Chippenham, which is 17 miles away.
However, Adam’s broken-hearted mother Caroline, who lives more than 130 miles away in Staffordshire, was seated at home while the guests had a banquet and a traditional wedding cake were served at 8pm. She was reportedly grieving over missing one of her life’s most joyful days, and was described as “sobering herself” with grief.
Adam, 59, told The Mail on Sunday, “I’m not going to be hurt like this again,” while speaking from the council house where he was a child.
The roots of the Peaty family conflict go back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly snubbed wider members of the Peaty family by not inviting them to their engagement party. Caroline was also not invited to Holly’s glamorous hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds last month, even though the bride’s mother, Tana Ramsay, and friends including Victoria Beckham, were invited.
Caroline gave her son’s birthday today, his 31st birthday, a gift and card.
This weekend, reportedly, his aunt Louise reportedly exchanged harsh words with him about the family feud and his mother’s treatment. Moments before the wedding, she sent him a text message outlining her thoughts.
MailOnline has now revealed the text message read: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame. Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.”
