In connection with the murder of 12 native people in the state’s neighboring Plateau State last Saturday, Kaduna State governor Uba Sani revealed 22 suspects had been detained.
The governor made this statement on Monday when he visited the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna’s survivors.
The 12 Kaduna-born wedding guests who were attending weddings in Plateau State’s Mangu Local Government Area were killed, he said, as barbaric.
He claimed he has spoken with Plateau’s governor Caleb Mutfwang and Bola Tinubu to ensure the justice of all those responsible for the attack.
He praised the calm in the face of the irrational incident among Kaduna residents. He urged Plateau’s elected officials to refrain from carrying out such a reckless deed.
