TV presenter Gabby Logan has shared her heartbreak after announcing the loss of her beloved family dog, Milo, who has been by her side for the past 14 years.
The BBC sports broadcaster, 52, took to Instagram to pay tribute to her “one in a million” companion in an emotional post that left fans in tears. Sharing a series of touching words about her four-legged friend, Gabby revealed that Milo had been a protective, loyal and much-loved member of her family, who grew up alongside her children Lois and Reuben.
Our hearts are broken, Gabby wrote, along with a sincere opin’. Our nation’s most powerful man has vanished. You truly made up for your uniqueness, Milo. She referred to her beloved pet as “the model of stoicism,” claiming that despite his lack of fuss for attention, he still lived in the family home.
Nothing could compare to a scratch in your bed just under your chin, and you did love an itch on your walk as much as you did an itch. You were clearly in charge, the viewers. Nobody could ever harm your children, who would eventually become your favorite people, she said.
No matter how deeply he had been sleeping, Milo would suddenly appear whenever her twins, now 18, knocked on his door. The voices of Lois and Reuben as they entered and left your house could make you shiver even when your favorite pastime fell asleep. Your little tail wagging with joy, she wrote.
The former gymnast, who is married to ex-rugby player Kenny Logan, also described Milo’s flawless body clock, which was available for meals at 8 am and 5 pm. She joked about her dog’s punctual habits, “You’d come and find us if we dared not to notice the time.”
In later years, Milo welcomed Maggie and, more recently, Maverick, as canine companions, according to Gabby. She remarked, “You gave Maggie a puppy home and cuddled her in your bed before Maverick arrived in your life in the winter of your life when we thought we might be leaving.” And you managed to rally around him and discover that he needed two more years to lead him and enjoy his youth and vitality.
The presenter thanked her beloved dog for the joy his contributions to the Logan family have generated throughout the years. “Milo, I can’t tell you how much you meant to us. We are forever grateful that you chose us to love after 14 years as the boss,” she wrote.
Fans and famous friends were quick to offer their condolences, and praising Milo as “a legend” and sending love to the family at such a difficult time. Strictly’s Karen Hauer said: “I’m so sorry what a lovely boy” while Gemma Atkinson also shared her comment saying: “Oh Gabby I’m so sorry for you all.” Lisa Snowdon also sent her well wishes, saying: “Sending love to you all, this is so sad Gabby”. Alex Scott also said: “oh my heart is broken for you seeing this. So sorry x”.

Aurelia, four, and Bohdi, three, are the parents’ two children. Kelsey and Will announced they were expecting their first child together earlier this year when they started dating in September 2024.
However, she revealed in a June of this year that her stillbirth-stricken son Phoenix was “born sleeping.” She now acknowledges that social media users have been vilifying her.

Speaking to The Sun, she expressed: “There were comments like ‘karma’… I mean, that just shocks me,” a shaken Kelsey then added: “Someone else said I deserved for my baby to die.
How could anyone possibly believe that a person deserves to lose a child? That is what they were trying to say, that I deserved this suffering and loss.
“Someone also compared Phoenix to a cat they had lost, as if losing a cat meant nothing and was meaningless because it was so disrespectful.”
She cited a terrible observation, which she made, “He wasn’t much of a Phoenix – he didn’t rise from the ashes.”
“It was sickening. For me, it was just absolutely heartbreaking to see that and about a baby that didn’t even make it into the world. I felt I couldn’t protect him.”
The podcast host continued to state that she still hoped to have more children and that Tom is looking after her and Will’s baby boy Phoenix.
Kelsey announced her heartbreaking loss in June as she shared a statement on Instagram for her fans. She began: “Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, you will forever be loved.” She included a poem For Phoenix in the post, which appeared to be titled Born Sleeping, Forever Loved.
The poem that Kelsey shared began with, “The world became quiet as you arrived.” Yet unliveable despite being so loved and longed for. Our beloved angel light, our precious boy. “Born with wings, flew silently.
We gave you the nickname “Phoenix,” brave and bright. A warmth and light-filled, love-filled soul. You’ll live in hearts that won’t ask why, despite the fact that we have never heard of your cry.
No breath you drew, no eyes to see was Kelsey’s poem for her late son. You still mean everything to me. You’ll softly be on our way to you. Every tear, every sigh, is expressed.
Then, Kelsey explained to her followers that the family needs some time to process the news in a message on her Instagram account. She began by saying, “I wanted to just say that I truly appreciate everything you are all going to say and share before I receive an influx of lovely messages and heartfelt wishes.”
She continued, “But with the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that our family is given time to process this devastating and world-shattering news.” I’m grateful for your time and understanding. Kelsey, Will, and the Parker family, always in love.
Kelsey’s famous pals sent their messages of condolences as Giovanna Fletcher commented: “A beautiful name for a beautiful soul. I’m so sorry for your loss Kelsey.”

Florence Welch has revealed she almost died after suffering an ectopic pregnancy while performing.
Back in 2023, the Florence + The Machine star suddenly cancelled several European shows, telling fans she’d undergone emergency surgery. However, she didn’t share further details at the time, saying she wasn’t “strong enough” to explain.
Now, the 39-year-old singer has opened up about the traumatic experience, revealing she had just found out she was pregnant with her first child when the complications began.

Speaking to The Guardian, she said, “I had an ectopic pregnancy, on stage.” She said becoming pregnant at 37 came as “a big shock”, but added the news had felt “magical.” The pregnancy was still private when, during a performance, she began bleeding and knew something wasn’t right.
She explained, “I think I was like, OK, I’ve heard this is a part of it,” and that the ordeal was “devastating” because it was my first pregnancy and my first miscarriage.
An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilised egg implants outside the womb, often in a fallopian tube. It affects around 11,000 women a year in the UK and can become life-threatening if not treated quickly, according to the NHS. The pregnancy cannot be saved and must be removed via medication or surgery.
Before a performance, Florence went to see a doctor, but things quickly escalated. She recalls that my abdomen had “a Coke can’s worth of blood.” She was taken in for emergency surgery an hour later, but doctors were unable to save her fallopian tube.
She revealed that she was still scheduled to fly out for another gig despite the severity of the situation. I would have gotten off on a stretcher if I had traveled on that plane. Or worse, she remarked.
Florence stated in a statement that she regretted having to cancel the last couple of shows that she had told fans that her cancelled shows, including Rock En Seine and Zurich Open Air Festival, were due to medical reasons. Although I didn’t feel strong enough yet, I had to have emergency surgery because of reasons I don’t feel strong enough to go into yet. However, it saved my life.
She continued, “Suffice it to say that the songs’ predictions were less accurate. However, mythology and creativity are both ways of coping.
The Dog Days Are Over hitmaker said, “I was in the elements, in the wind and rain, and I just felt something working through me.” She brought this up again during the show where it all happened. I sensed that this was the safe place for performing, the thing that was always there.
