Peter Andre has revealed a fan kicked him in the teeth, leaving him requiring dental work. Luckily for the dad-of-five, his wife Emily MacDonagh’s brother Tom owns an aesthetics clinic, which offers private cosmetic dentistry.
Although the incident doesn’t seem to have been revealed before, Peter took the opportunity to promote his brother-in-law’s business on his own platform. Meanwhile, his wife has been filming on the dentist’s Instagram account.
Peter revealed what transpired while he was in the passenger seat of a car during the recording of his video. He addressed his followers, saying, “Right, you won’t believe what happened to my teeth.

“So I needed to see a dentist, so I turned to Emily’s brother Tom for an aesthetics appointment, and DentaQuest is one of them.” I went there because I was usually a call-up on stage and was having fun on stage one night.
“Someone came up on stage, had a few too many drinks, kicked the microphone, and it went right into my tooth and badly chipped it. I actually had a few chips in my mouth; that would have been a kick in the teeth.
“Once more, I went there and examine what they have done.” Simply restore the appearance of my original teeth. Look ! Oh my goodness. “No potatoes or chips in general.
He married NHS doctor Emily in 2015, with the pair having three children together – Millie, 11, Theo, nine, and 21-month-old Belle. Peter already has two children with his ex-wife, former glamour model Katie Price – they share Junior, 20, and Princess, 18.
Writing in his most recent novel! He stated in a magazine column that “George Clooney has been talking about how easier it is for him to become a father later on in life,” which some people find to be. Some people want to concentrate on their children while completing their careers.
“I felt ready to start having kids,” I said. I could have waited a little longer, but you get older and you get more mature. At 52, you can’t stop growing up and you get more mature.
In his weekly OK!, he also opened up about his “biggest fear” as a parent. column . Olivia Curley, 11, passed away in a suspected drug death, according to Peter’s recent comment. The schoolgirl, who had gotten sick at home, was taken to the hospital and tragically passed away on November 17.
He said, “As a parent, I worry a lot that your kids may be exposed to drugs, especially at a young age. Every parent’s worst nightmare is the tragic death of 11-year-old Olivia Curley in a ‘drug tragedy’, which is why every parent is devastated.
Kids can make people think. They might be subjected to peer pressure and/or other offers.
It was “devastating to hear that this nightmare might be a reality for someone,” he added. Even hearing the possibility of it as a parent is devastating. And in this instance, a person lost their life, and they were so young, too.

Katya hinted she was at home reading while Adam married Holly Ramsay(Image: Mancpicss66)
Four days prior to the ceremony, an ‘automated message’ was reportedly sent to Adam Peaty’s aunt and uncle, who were uninvited from their lavish wedding to Holly Ramsay’s daughter. His aunt Janet and uncle Eddie, it’s believed, already spent money on accommodations, outfits, and presents for the occasion.
According to reports, Adam claimed his dad Mark could attend as long as he sat at the back of the church, but Caroline, Adam’s mother, had already been denied entry for his big day. The ceremony, which took place on Saturday at Bath Abbey, featured only the Olympian’s sister Beth, who was the only member of the family.

According to The Sun, Adam’s aunt and uncle were notified of their snub in the happiest possible way.
According to a source, “They received an automated message telling them to turn down the guest list and respect Adam and Holly’s choice.” Just four days before the big day, it was so impersonal.
Caroline reportedly had thought about going to the wedding despite being turned down, telling friends to “watch from the street.” She later said she was against it because it would be “too sad” and that she did not want to “spoil his big day” and later said she would not.
More than 200 people watched Adam, 31, and Holly, 25, get married inside Bath Abbey. The wedding itself appeared joyful, but an uprising over the family feud ultimately prevented the majority of the Peaty family from attending the grand event.
Caroline admitted the pain she is feeling has been overwhelming in a chat with the Daily Mail, saying: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out.”
She continued, “My family is broken, and this is my first Christmas without having my family together. The fallout has affected the wider family during the holiday season.”
Just one day after the wedding, she was spotted leaving her family home in Staffordshire and looking clearly depressed.
After Gordon mentioned their family feud in his father-of-the-bride speech, Caroline was later accused of being angry and hurt.
Caroline can’t believe Gordon brought up their family issues in his speech, according to a family source. It is outrageous and seriously hurtful. He makes Caroline sound like a bad mother by stating Tana will make a good mother to both of them. It was a mocking insult to her.
In his speech, the celebrity chef said his wife Tana “will be a good mother to them both.”
It’s thought Gordon mentioned how beautiful Holly looked in his speech, telling Adam he was a “lucky man,” and adding, “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

According to The Sun, Gordon continued to say to his daughter, “Shame you don’t have the same.”
As Sarah Ferguson celebrates Christmas far from the regal dining table of Sandringham, the Mirror takes a look at a year that’s seen her plumment from duchess to outcast

Sarah Ferguson has been told to find somewhere to live herself(Image: PA)
In the matter of just a few short months, Fergie has gone from being the Duchess of York to plain Sarah Ferguson, with the regal life she once knew a distant memory.
Ever since marrying into the Royal Family in the summer of 1986, the now 66-year-old grandmother has navigated controversy at every turn, from the infamous toe sucking uproar of 1992, to the time she was mortifyingly scammed by an investigative journalist posing as a ‘Sheikh’. Nothing however can compare to the year 2025, which has seen her stripped of her royal titles and chucked out of the mansion she’s called home for more than twenty years.
Now, as senior members of the Royal Family gather at Sandringham, it seems unlikely she and ex husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will be getting so much as a Christmas card from The Firm. Here, the Mirror takes a look at Fergie’s wildest year yet…
READ MORE: Inside King Charles and Sarah Ferguson’s relationship after claims of tell-all book
Jawdropping spending claims
Back in August, Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, shed some light on the allegedly frivolous spending habits of the former Duchess of York, who was reportedly bailed out by the late Queen Elizabeth II on “several occasions” after racking up staggering debts.
According to Lownie, Fergie “would regularly miss flights that were not refundable”, totting up thousands of pounds in unnecessary costs. One source alleged that Sarah also “thought nothing of arriving at an airport with 25 cases and paying between £800 and £4,000 in excess baggage”, adding, “At least five of those cases were packed with toiletries and make-up. Another would be used solely for clothes hangers.”
Meanwhile, Lownie detailed how “personal trainers, hairdressers and Pilates instructors were paid hundreds of pounds an hour to wait for her to emerge for the day in the late afternoon. Her butler had to get in at 4.30 am to put watercress on ice”. By 1994, Ferguson’s debts had exceeded the £3.7 million mark, with Lownie describing her life as a member of the Royal Family as one “marked by ambition and financial recklessness”. He wrote: “She needed bank approval to pay even modest cheques. But even then, according to a member of her staff, she always believed there would be ‘a deal around the corner’ that would solve all her problems”.
‘Power, dominance, and manipulation’ claims
As per this same biography, palace staff regard Fergie as an individual prone to switching between “confiding far too much when she treated them as friends and compensating far too angrily when she remembered they were servants”. Unfortunately, many members of Fergie’s staff were made redundant after Andrew and the late Queen Elizabeth reportedly stepped to help untangle Sarah’s financial mess. A former employee was quoted by The Sun as reflecting: “Fergie can make you feel a million dollars one minute then trample you into the dirt the next. Even if you have your own family to look after, they take second place when it comes to the Duchess.”
They continued: “It is all about power, dominance and the manipulation of people. She knows she does it and that is literally how she gets her kicks. When you are in favour there is nothing she won’t do for you – send you presents on your birthday, flowers, say nice things about you. But suddenly it will all change.”
‘Supreme friend’ email
On March 7 2011, Sarah declared she had distanced herself from Epstein in an interview with the Evening Standard, in which she apologised for accepting £15,000 from the late sex offender. The now 66-year-old grandmother told the publication: “I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf. I am just so contrite, I cannot say. Whenever I can, I will repay the money and have nothing ever to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again.”
However, as revealed in emails published by The Sun back in September, Sarah took quite a different tone in emails sent to sex offender Epstein after this declaration, in which she “humbly apologised” for connecting her “supreme friend” to paedophilia in the press, while praising him as “steadfast” and “generous”.
The email, dated April 26 2011, read as follows: “I know you feel hellaciously let down by me. And I must humbly apologise to you and your heart for that. You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family.” She continued: “I am apologising to you today for not replying to your email or reaching out to you. I was bedridden with fear. I was paralysed. I was advised in no uncertain terms, to have nothing to do with you and to not speak or email you. And if I did – I would cause more problems to you, the Duke and myself. I was broken and lost. So please understand. I didn’t want to hurt Andrew one more time. I was in over-riding fear. I am sorry.”
After this controversial correspondence came to light, Sarah’s spokesperson issued a statement explaining the email had been sent “in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats”. Despite this explanation however, it appeared thar reputational damage had been done. Not long after this scandal erupted, Julia’s House, a children’s hospice in Dorset and Wiltshire, announced that it would no longer be appropriate for Fergie to continue in her role as patron.
‘Celebrating’ Epstein’s release
Unfortunately for Fergie, this wasn’t the only bombshell to emerge regarding her friendship with Epstein. The following month, the Daily Mail reported how emails dating back to 2011 suggested that Fergie was so keen to cosy up to the sex offender that “she was the first to celebrate” his release from jail and that she’d even travelled over to the US “with her two daughters in tow”. At this time, Princess Beatrice would have been 20 and Princess Eugenie 19 – around the same age as many of Epstein’s victims. As was later reported by The Telegraph, a source close to Sarah insisted that neither she nor her daughters had any recollection of such a visit.
In July 2009, Epstein was released after serving 13 months of an 18-month sentence in a Palm Beach County jail after pleading guilty to state charges of soliciting prostitution and soliciting prostitution with a minor. Following his release, Epstein spent a year under house arrest but was still permitted to travel frequently. In July 2019, Epstein was arrested once again, this time on charges of federal sex trafficking, but died by suicide in a New York jail cell the following month before he could stand trial.
These new claims about Sarah’s relationship with the paedophile are reportedly contained within a tranche of documents under review by the US Congress, scheduled to be released once they have been redacted to protect the identities of Epstein’s victims. As per the Mail, these emails allegedly show how Fergie begged to borrow $50,000 (£37,240) to $100,000 (£78,475) from Epstein to cover “small bills” and also asked to visit his private Carribean island,
The publication claimed that Epstein paid off some debts Sarah owed a former employee, and allegedly became infuriated when she failed to pay him back as agreed. It was also alleged that Fergie maintained contact with Epstein and let him help set up a charity for her, all while speaking out against him in public.
Epstein reportedly even gave Fergie “talking points” before she was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey, with a source claiming: “Sarah and Prince Andrew have always maintained they distanced themselves from Epstein after his conviction for child prostitution. In fact, it was Epstein who ended up dumping them. He got sick and tired of Sarah constantly asking him for money. She borrowed far more money off him than has ever come out. In public she said one thing but in private she was always holding out the begging bowl.”
Stripped of titles
In an explosive decision, also revealed back in October, Andrew, 65, announced he would be relinquishing his titles and honours as his friendship with Epstein continued to cast a shadow over the Royal Family. The former Duke of York has denied accusations that he had sex with Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre when she was 17 years old, and has always strenuously denied any wrongdoing.
Andrew’s decision came mere days before the posthumous publication of Giuffre’s memoir, Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, which makes reference to her alleged meeting with Andrew. In a bombshell statement issued on October 18, Andrew said: “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.
“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
This reportedly marks the first time in more than 100 years that a senior royal has ceased using a dukedom. The last time was when Queen Victoria’s grandson, the Duke of Albany, had his title stripped under the Titles Deprivation Act 1917 for fighting on the side of the Germans during World War I.
Andrew was given the title of Duke of York, a title once held by Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved father, King George VI, prior to his reign, upon his 1986 wedding to Sarah. Following their separation in 1992 and divorce in 1996, Sarah, continued using the title of duchess, and also remained on unusually close terms with her ex. However, the scandal of the last few months has changed everything. From now on, Sarah will be officially referred to as Sarah Ferguson, a move that has seen her relinquishing a title she has held since her wedding day.
Booted from Royal Lodge
For decades, Sarah has lived under the same roof as her ex-husband at Royal Lodge, in what has long been regarded as an odd set-up. The former couple moved into the sprawling 30-room Royal Lodge with daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, back in 2004, moving from their marital home, Sunninghill Park.
By this point, the exes had been separated for 12 years and divorced for eight, but still maintained an unusual degree of closeness. There have long been calls to turf Andrew out of the enormous house, where he has paid ‘peppercorn’ rent for two decades and now, with the scandal continuing to unfold, King Charles has taken decisive action, forcing both Andrew and Sarah out of Royal Lodge.
Shamed Andrew will now live in a property on the Sandringham Estate, with Charles forking out the bill from his own private funds. As for Sarah, she must now make arrangements for her own accommodation,
Cattle shed rumours
With questions surrounding Fergie’s next steps, it was previously rumoured that the one-time duchess would be moving into a renovated “cattle shed” on Princess Beatrice’s Cotswolds estate, which could serve as a “granny annex”.
However, a spokesperson has dismissed claimed that Sarah will be moving into this refurbished outbuilding, telling PEOPLE magazine: “She is assessing a number of options currently, and no final decision has been made Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself,” a source added. “She will continue to forge an independent life.” Another source added that the mother of two will find her own place and is “going to move forward independently.”
It’s also been suggested that Sarah could up sticks to Portugal, where she could make a fresh start ar Princess Eugenie’s £3.6 million estate within the exclusive CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, a star-studded area that’s earned the nickname, the “Hamptoms of Europe”
‘Epstein visit’ claims
Earlier this month, Lownie alleged that Sarah had continued to use properties associated with Epstein for three years after she claimed to have cut all contact contact. Lownie alleges that multiple eyewitnesses saw Fergie entering and leaving a New York City apartment block right “up until 2014”.
These explosive claims were first made on The Express’ Daily Expresso chat show, with Lownie sharing further details in a follow up interview, in which he alleged that Sarah “regularly used Epstein’s flats as free accommodation while in New York on business or pleasure”, and would sometimes even visit as frequently as “twice a month”.
The apartment in question was 301 East 66th Street, located just round the corner from Epstein’s seven-storey Manhattan townhouse that sold for £38 million back in 2011. At that time, the building on East 66th Street had belonged to Epstein’s brother Mark. Epstein was allegedly given several flats within the block to use, free of charge, and it’s believed one of these was used by Fergie.
Lownie claims to have consulted multiple witnesses who saw Sarah coming and going from the upscale apartment, including primarily Epstein’s neighbours, one of Ghislaine Maxwell’s acquaintances, the building’s doorman, and local resident Claudine Prabst.
Lownie previously said: “She was seen by a local resident Claudine Prabst who got chatting to doormen while out dog walking after she had seen Fergie emerge from the building one day. Epstein housed various women in the block.” Andrew continued: “The doorman actually said that when she was staying there, and it was frequently, they would have to put on their full-dress uniform.” Epstein “really put the boat out” for Sarah, he added.
Telling Christening absence
Princess Beatrice celebrated her daughter’s christening with a trip to the pub – but her disgraced parents were nowhere to be seen. Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had their youngest daughter Athena baptised at the Chapel Royal in St James’ Palace in front of close family and friends.
Her parents shamed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson left exile to attend their first major royal event since they were stripped of their titles. The former prince arrived at St James’s Palace in London in a green Range Rover this morning, quickly entering via a side gate away from waiting media.
Meanwhile, Fergie arrived separately, crouching forwards in the back of a Mercedes people carrier with blacked out windows. The christening appeared to feature just immediate family, and no senior royals were present. Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two sons August and Ernest were spotted arriving.
Also joining them was the singer James Blunt and his wife, Sofia Wellesley, who were seen arriving on foot at the venue. After the service, Beatrice was seen arriving at a pub with her husband, sister Eugenie and a group of pals including Princess Nina of Greece to celebrate her daughter’s big day.
Beatrice could be seen carrying a large bag in a red dress with a long navy coat, while husband Edo held a large white box. Eugenie was seen making her way into the pub as was singer-songwriter Blunt. But Andrew and Fergie did not join them.
Final Christmas at Royal Lodge
Having been uninvited from the traditional royal Christmas stay at Sandringham, where Beatrice and Eugenie will still be welcome, questions were raised as to how exactly Andrew and Sarah will be toasting the season after such a shameful year.
Speaking in the run up to the big day with Cosmopolitan, author Lownie suggested the exes turned friends will be spending one last Christmas at Royal Lodge together, and could well invite pals over for one final hurrah. He said: “I [think] they would take advantage of this last Christmas to do all sorts of entertaining there. They’ve got friends… there are friends that go back a long way, and [have] stuck with them. Andrew still has his shooting friends.”
Lownie also speculated that “they may go to friends”, and despite outwards assumptions of their depleted popularity, won’t necessarily have a “terrible Christmas”. It is however thought that Beatrice and Eugenie will head over to Sandringham, understandably wanting to distance themselves from the scandal enveloping their parents.

There are just two places left to play for in the NFL play-offs heading into the final week of the season but plenty more to be decided, including both top seeds and four division titles.
The NFL schedulers have come up trumps as the two remaining play-off spots can be decided in two head-to-head matches.
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens renew their fierce rivalry for the AFC North spot and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to beat the Carolina Panthers to have a chance of winning the NFC South.
Current NFL play-off standings
AFC Standings
The winner of Pittsburgh against Baltimore will get the fourth seed, with division champions rewarded with a home game in the wildcard round regardless of their record.
Buffalo and Los Angeles are locked in as wildcards while Houston need a win and Jacksonville defeat to jump from fifth to third.
Denver will finish top seed with a win but if they lose then New England or even the Jaguars could pinch that coveted top spot.
NFC Standings
Carolina or Tampa Bay will get the fourth seed and home tie depending on who wins the NFC South, but there’s an added wrinkle as the Panthers could lose and still claim the division depending on Atlanta’s result.
Green Bay are locked in seventh and Los Angeles could still get fifth – which when you consider could be the difference between a trip to the Eagles or Panthers/Buccaneers is well worth fighting for.
What is the NFL play-off format?

The top seed in the NFC and AFC both get a first-round bye and home advantage throughout the play-offs.
The remaining six teams take part in Wildcard Weekend, with three division winners playing at home against three wildcard teams – the second seed playing seventh, third hosting sixth and fourth facing fifth.
From there, the top seeds enter the fray by hosting the lowest remaining seed left, with the next highest seed at home against the next lowest seed in the Divisional Round.
These two teams really do not like each other and they have had some street fights in their time – so a bare knuckle battle for the division will be a brutal ending as the 272nd and final regular season game on the schedule.
Baltimore started 1-5 and have lost three of the past five while the Steelers have been consistently inconsistent all season, yet thanks to an unusually weak division this year one side will make the post-season.
Aaron Rodgers almost clinched a play-off return on Sunday but the 42-year-old just couldn’t find a late touchdown pass against lowly Cleveland.
Missing dominant receiver DK Metcalf, suspended after an altercation with a fan, could cost Pittsburgh dear.
Two-time MVP Lamar Jackson is a doubt for Baltimore with a back injury, but running back Derrick Henry exploded for over 200 yards and four touchdowns in his last game.

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers (01:00, Sunday)
The NFC West title is up for grabs but more importantly all the trappings of the top seeding as San Francisco host Seattle at Levi’s Stadium – which also hosts February’s Super Bowl.
It looks like attack versus defence here with the 49ers the league’s top scorers since Brock Purdy returned from injury in week 11, coming off their first back-to-back 40-point games in 30 years.
And they need it as without star defenders Fred Warner and Nick Bosa they’ve also been leaking points – as witnessed during their wild shootout win over Chicago on Sunday.
Seattle’s defence is the second best in the NFL with just over 18 points a game allowed and the team moved to 7-1 on the road this season after smothering Carolina on Sunday – allowing Bryce Young to pass for just 54 yards.
Quarterback Sam Darnold is the only man ever to have successive 13-win seasons with two different teams, but he leads the league with 20 turnovers after an interception and fumble in Carolina.
NFC South sees Carolina hold the edge
Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (21:30 Saturday)
Baker Mayfield was in the early MVP race but the Buccaneers have fallen off a cliff since with four straight defeats making it seven losses in eight games.
Carolina have also fluffed their lines though when given the chance, so one team will stumble over the line – and not much will be expected of either in the play-offs.
For the Panthers it is a win-and-in game as victory will book a play-off spot, but not for Tampa Bay as even if Carolina lose they will still take the division if Atlanta beat New Orleans.
Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots (21:25, Sunday)
Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos (21:25, Sunday)
Denver should really get the job done here as Chargers boss Jim Harbaugh has already said he will rest quarterback Justin Herbert and any other starters that need it with a wildcard the best they can do.
The Broncos have the tiebreaker edge on the Patriots so just need to win, but should Denver stumble, New England can bag top spot with a win over Miami.
Jacksonville need to beat the Titans, as they should, and have the Broncos and Patriots both lose to claim an unlikely top seed.
The Jags will just have to focus on victory though, as they could suffer a big trapdoor fall if they suffer an upset defeat with Houston waiting in the wings.
A Jacksonville loss and Houston victory will give the Texans the AFC South title, third seed and a home play-off tie with the Jags hitting the road as a wildcard.

After Donald Trump threatened further military action, Iran has pledged to retaliate harshly against any aggression Iran, which has threatened to do so if Tehran attempts to rebuild its missile or nuclear arsenal.
The warning was made on X on Tuesday after Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his Florida estate, where he once more firmly retreated into the Israeli regional narrative.
Iran’s nuclear program was the only area of focus for the US, which had long been an Israeli aspiration, when it announced it would target Iran’s missile capabilities. Iran has stated on numerous occasions that its nuclear activities are only for civilian purposes, and neither the US or the UN nuclear watchdog have discovered any proof of atomic weapons production prior to the US and Israel’s attacks in June.
Iran has ruled out engaging in negotiations regarding its missile program.
The leaders’ statements raise the possibility of a fresh conflict just after a devastating 12-day war in June, which left 28 Israelis dead and more than 1,100 Iranians dead.
Pezeshkian argued that Iran’s response to any aggression would be “severe and regret-inducing.” Trump stated to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort that Washington could launch a second major assault on Iran after receiving his defiant message.
Trump said while addressing Netanyahu, “I’ve heard that Iran is trying to build up again, and if they are, we will have to knock them down.” We’ll “knock them out of them,” they say.
If Tehran continues to develop long-range weapons, the US president said he would support strikes on Iran’s nuclear program “immediately” and its missile facilities.
Iranian officials have expressed concern over Iran’s efforts to slowly replenish its arsenal of ballistic missiles, which was severely reduced during the conflict in June.
It may be necessary to confront Tehran if the Americans don’t reach a deal with Iran that stops their ballistic missile program, according to an Israeli official who spoke to Ynet this week.
Pezeshkian recently described the conflict as a “full-scale war” between the US, Israel, and Europe, which is “more complicated and difficult” than Iran’s bloody conflict with Iraq in the 1980s, which resulted in more than one million deaths.
Israel launched nearly 360 strikes in 27 Iranian provinces over the course of a year, according to the UN’s ACLED-led monitoring mission. They included military installations, nuclear installations, and government buildings.
More than 30 senior military commanders and at least 11 nuclear scientists were killed in the assault, which also included an estimated 1, 000 Iranian ballistic missiles.
During the conflict, Iran fired more than 500 missiles at Israel, causing roughly 36 of them to land in densely populated areas. Experts disagreed with Trump’s claim that Tehran may have secret stockpiles of enriched uranium and that Tehran’s nuclear capabilities were “completely destroyed” by the strikes, saying Tehran may have had hidden stockpiles and be able to resume production in coming months.
Iranian officials insist that the country is now better prepared for a conflict despite the losses. Pezeshkian stated in a recent interview that the military forces of Iran are “stronger in terms of equipment and manpower” than they were prior to the ceasefire.
After claiming that nearly 100 drones targeted one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residences, Russia has threatened to retaliate against Ukraine.
The threat on Monday was made as United States President Donald Trump tries to broker a peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine, which will enter its fifth year in February.

What has Russia claimed?
Sergey Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, claimed on Monday that Ukraine had attacked one of Putin’s residences in the Novgorod region of northwest Russia. The property is 360 kilometers (225 miles) north of Moscow.
Lavrov told reporters that Ukraine had launched 91 drones towards the residence. He added that no one was hurt when the drones were down by air defense systems.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 41 drones were shot down while on their way over the Novgorod region, 41 were shot down over the Bryansk region, and one was over the Smolensk region.
“Such reckless actions will not go unanswered”, Lavrov said. The Russian armed forces have chosen the targets for retaliatory strikes and when to carry them out.
Russian officials accused Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, of carrying out the strike, which threatened to undermine a peace deal.
In an apparent reference to Zelenskyy, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev wrote on X: “The stinking Kiev b**tard is trying to derail the settlement of the conflict. He desires war. He’ll at least now have to spend the rest of his useless life in a hiding place.
Kremlin foreign policy aide Yury Ushakov said the strike took place on Sunday “practically immediately after” talks were held in Florida between Trump and Zelenskyy on ending Russia’s war on Ukraine.
Trump and Zelenskyy had echoed their optimism following the meeting, claiming that a Russian-Ukraine peace deal was “close.”
Putin hasn’t yet made any official comments about the attack. It is unclear where Putin was at the time of the attack, but he was holding meetings in the Kremlin on Saturday and Monday.
What has Ukraine done to date?
Zelenskyy has vehemently refuted Russia’s claim that Ukraine attacked one of Putin’s residences.
“Russia is at it again, using dangerous statements to undermine all achievements of our shared diplomatic efforts with President Trump’s team”, Zelenskyy wrote in an X post on Monday.
This alleged “residence strike” story is a complete fabrication meant to justify additional attacks on Ukraine, including Kyiv, and Russia’s own inability to put an end to the conflict, according to the article.
Andrii Sybiha, the foreign minister of Ukraine, said the accusations were meant to stifle the talks.
In a post on X, Sybiha said the claim was intended “to create a pretext and false justification for Russia’s further attacks against Ukraine, as well as to undermine and impede the peace process”.
Russia hasn’t provided any credible proof of its accusations of Ukraine’s alleged “attack on Putin’s residence,” according to Sybiha in another post on Tuesday. And they won’t, either. Because there’s none. There was no such attack.
Trump’s response to this:
Trump appeared to accept the Russian version of events on Monday when he told reporters: “It’s one thing to be offensive. Another way to attack his home is. None of that is appropriate at this time. And I learned about it from President Putin today. I felt a lot of anger for it.
Trump responded, “We’ll find out,” when reporters inquired whether US intelligence agencies had any information on the alleged attack.
Congressman Don Bacon, a member of Trump’s Republican Party, criticised the president for accepting the Russian account of events without assessing the facts.
“President Trump and his team should establish the facts before putting their allies in the shoes of blame.” In an X-post, Bacon described Putin as a well-known boldface liar.
How have other world leaders reacted?
Other leaders appeared to accept the allegations made by Trump, just like them.
The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement on Monday that it had condemned the Russian Federation’s president’s residence’s attempt to attack His Excellency Vladimir Putin and denounced the deplorable attack and the threat it poses to security and stability.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in an X post on Tuesday: “Deeply concerned by reports of the targeting of the residence of the President of the Russian Federation”.
Modi argued that the US’s ongoing diplomatic dialogue is the “most viable path” to peace, adding that it is “most viable.” We urge everyone involved to keep their attention on these endeavors and steer clear of any derogatory behaviors.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the alleged attack.
“Pakistan condemns the alleged abuse of His Excellency Vladimir Putin’s residence, the Russian Federation’s President. A vile act like this poses a serious threat to international peace, security, and stability, especially as peace efforts are in progress, Sharif wrote on X.
“Pakistan expresses its solidarity with the President of the Russian Federation, and with the government and people of Russia”.
Have residences under Putin previously been attacked?
Russia has previously claimed that Ukrainians have attacked Putin’s offices, including his official residence and main workplace.
In May 2023, Moscow alleged that Ukraine had deployed two drones to attack Putin’s residence in the Kremlin citadel but said its forces had disabled the drones. Kyiv denied any involvement.
Russia claimed on December 25, 2024, that it had intercepted and destroyed a Ukrainian drone that was also targeted by the Kremlin. Kyiv again denied responsibility.
In contrast, Ukraine has claimed that Ukraine has attacked Kyiv and other Ukrainian government buildings.
A government building in Kyiv, which is the country’s cabinet’s home, was damaged in September by a Russian drone attack, according to the Ukrainian military. Plumes of smoke were seen emerging from the building. Russia claimed that all of its actions had been directed at Ukrainian military installations.
What will Russia do in the interim?
While Russia has not outright threatened to end the peace talks, Moscow said it would realign its position in the talks.
According to Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, “the diplomatic consequence will be to strengthen the Russian Federation’s negotiating position.”
Maria Zakharova, a spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, warned that Moscow’s response “would not be diplomatic.” Indeed, it has warned that it plans to hit back militarily but has given no details of how or when it might do this.
Will the US-led peace talks be stymied by this?
Trump told reporters that Moscow and Kyiv were “closer than ever” to a peace deal after their “terrific” meeting with Zelenskyy on Sunday at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida.
But Trump has made this claim several times before. After Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff met with Putin in Moscow in April, Trump claimed that Russia and Ukraine were “very close to a deal.”
After discussions with Zelenskyy and the leaders of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and NATO, Trump also stated on December 15 that Russia and Ukraine were “closer than ever” to a deal.
However, observers and analysts said the issue of territorial concessions remains a major sticking point. In accordance with Trump’s 28-point peace plan for Ukraine, which he unveiled in November, Russia ceded significant amounts of land after nearly four years of conflict. This is a line that Ukraine will not cross, according to Selenskyy on numerous occasions.
Most analysts are sceptical that any progress has been made on this point and said the latest accusations against Ukraine will probably have little effect. At this point, according to analyst at King’s College London, “I don’t think there is anything to derail.”
According to her, the Ukraine-Russian peace process is “not going well” due to disagreements over crucial issues.
“Trump has repeatedly claimed that a peace deal is close without sustainable agreement”, Keir Giles, a Russian military expert at the London think tank Chatham House, told Al Jazeera this month.
As Ukraine’s military is weakened by desertions, casualties, and declining military aid, Russia has occupied nearly 20% of eastern Ukraine and has slowly grown in territory. In 2014, Moscow annexed the Crimean Peninsula of Ukraine.

According to Nathalie Tocci, director of the Rome-based think tank Istituto Affari Internazionali (Institute of International Affairs), “it’s probably impossible for Ukrainians to voluntarily leave these regions without seeing a withdrawal of Russian forces on the other side.”
