We’ve seen a lot of divisive shoe trends over the past few years, from Maison Margiela’s iconic Tabis and mesh ballet flats to Mary-Jane shearling shoes from UGG. The ‘sneeperina’ is the newest “ugly” shoe trend, and 2025 brings it.
The sneakerina, as you can probably tell from the hybrid name, combines ballerina flats and trainers (or sneakers as Americans call them). Given that the two shoes are already well-liked and not particularly controversial, this seems harmless. However, many people have divergent opinions regarding the outcome.
A-List celebs have, of course, already adopted this trend from Phoebe Dynevor to Bella Hadid, who was spotted wearing a reasonably affordable £119 pair from Vivaia.
Although the trend started with the likes of Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton, Vivaia’s Cristina Satin Sneakerinas are a little more affordable at £100. Bella and Charli XCX have two distinct fan bases in the Coachella desert, and both of them are a big fan of Vivaia’s pair.

The Vivaia trainers are constructed with a rubber sole and are made of a smooth satin material like traditional ballet ballet shoes. The outcome ? A feminine ballet flat that perfectly combines athleticism and sport.
We’ve found a few more sneakerina styles you can buy for less, just like all trends that start off on high-fashion runways.
These silver satin Charles &, Keith sneakers combine both trends in one, making them both popular and fashionable as well as metallic footwear. If silver isn’t your thing, you can get them in a classic black colorway.
Dua Lipa posted an Instagram carousel sporting the Puma Speedcat Ballet Shoes, showing that she’s given this controversial trend her seal of approval. Dua’s exact metallic silver ones are currently out of stock, but we’ve found some suede pink ones from Puma that still perfectly fit into the trend.

Danny Jones’ wife Georgia Horsley has revealed she suffered a painful injury while giving birth to their son Cooper, seven. The former Miss England model, 38, welcomed her little boy back in 2018 after the pair married four years earlier.
The McFly singer, 39, and Georgia have been open about their parenting and the challenges they faced together. Their world was rocked earlier this year when Danny was spotted kissing Love Island’s Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty.
He went on to issue a grovelling apology while Georgia took a break from the family home and a step back from work. She has since returned and got stuck in with her podcast alongside pal Kelsey Parker.
In her reflection on Cooper’s birth, Georgia admitted in the most recent episode of Mums the Word. She revealed that he was born in three hours, but the birth was a long one and left her with a sore injury.
Cooper hooked onto my clitoris and tore it, she shared, “and you know how long nails are when they first come out.”
Georgia continued, “I had a stitch in my clitoris,” describing the agonizing injury and how she is now. He hooked on, and somehow he did it, but he didn’t do anything wrong; it’s almost as sensitive as it is.
Earlier this month, Georgia marked her podcast return following her husband’s scandal. She avoided directly talking about the kiss, but did discuss the differences between her and her husband when it comes to social media.
Georgia explained how, in general, men and women have different mental models. She remarked, “You can make it seem like you’re having a whale of a time on social media.” It might be a completely different story behind closed doors.
The model continued: “It’s like today, we’re recording on Valentine’s Day and I’m seeing all of these Valentine’s Day posts, and I’m like ‘are you that happy though?'” As the guests laughed with Georgia, she then added: “Are you sure?”
After weeks away, Georgia is returning to face the music, according to a source close to the time. After the incident ended, she took some time to herself before she could talk.
A separate source told us that Georgia’s decision to temporarily leave the family home wasn’t some grand gesture.
“It was just a girlie few nights at a close pal’s flat. Yes, she wanted some space, but she is home now, and while things are still fragile, they are trying to work things through.”
Another source close to the couple also revealed: “The break has done Georgia a world of good. Being out of the house and with her friend Rose Mahon was what she needed to clear her head. Her relationship with Danny was pushed to breaking point, and they are still trying to work out what they want.”
Hello everyone, sorry it took me a while to post this, but I’ve taken some time to take a break from being with those closest to me, the McFly singer said in a statement. My wife and family have been in such a predicament, so I sincerely apologize.
We’ll continue to deal with this in secret because I love them so much. I appreciate you all’s patience, understanding, and support. Danny, I’ll see you soon.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reports that an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 has struck close to the Ecuadorian coast.
According to EMSC, the quake was 23 kilometers (14.29 miles) deep.
Buildings are clearly visible damage from an earthquake, according to images shared online. No casualties were immediately reported.
Ecuador’s history of seismic disasters is complex and agonizing.
At least 14 people were killed and homes, schools, and medical facilities destroyed in a quake that erupted in northern Peru and southern Ecuador in 2013 and left them in critical condition.
At least 77 people were killed and more than 500 others were hurt in Ecuador’s strongest earthquake, magnitude 7.8, in 2016 after a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.8, which hit the country’s hardest since 1979.
The nation is located along the volatile seismic and vulcanic “Ring of Fire” in the Pacific, which circles the ocean.
Ecuador lies atop the boundary between the massive tectonic plates of South America and Nazca, which both grind against one another and move at a rate of 65 millimeters (2. 5 inches) annually.
