Eurovision 2025 winner ‘confirmed’ just minutes into show after major clue

Fans are already aware of the title contenders just moments after Eurovision’s 69th annual contest kicked off tonight.

The Eurovision Song Contest kicked off it’s 69th annual contest tonight after a dramatic build up with two semi-finals earlier in the week. However, fans think they’ve already ‘worked out’ who will win less than a hour into the four hour live show.

The show kicked off with a high-energy performance from Norway as Kyle Alessandro – Lighter, as Luxembourg’s Laura Thorn kicked off with her ‘trippy’ visuals with her song La Poupée Monte Le Son. Things went up a notch when Estonia’s Tommy Cash performed his fan favourite song – Espresso Macchiato.

Fans believe Tommy will win the match and will continue to do so after the first semi-final. Some of the audience paused and took to X, formerly Twitter, to applaud the rapper and singer for their incredible dance moves, but others immediately took to Twitter and praised him as the winner.

Another third person expressed similar sentiments, saying, “Espresso macchiato. Your prize is in sight!

Fans will have to wait until the end of the night to find out if Tommy actually wins the crowd. Since the lines are already open, they won’t have to wait until then to cast their ballots.

Voting opened before anyone kicked off their performance, with fans being able to vote via phone up to 20 times. However, it does cost 15p a vote but fans can save a few pennies by voting online through the app and via www.esc.vote.

Israel’s Yuval Raphael performed her powerful ballad New Day Will Rise after Tommy.

After her performance, UK commentator Graham Norton seemingly confirmed the EBU has employed fake applause to drown out any boos during her time on stage.

As Yuval wrapped up the show, the Irish host remarked, “Not sure what you’re hearing at home, there’s a slightly mixed response here in the hall,” in reference to the rumor that Eurovision bosses are meddling with what is broadcast on TV screens across Europe.

Elsewhere, fans are hopeful for a performance from Celine Dion after her video message during the first semi-final.

Graham mentioned that the My Heart Will Go On singer is watching backstage, but he didn’t rule out the Eurovision legend’s brief performance, which only fueled the conversation.

Eurovision fans in stitches as Estonia’s act ‘sounds like a joke that went too far’

Fans who were watching Tommy Cash’s rendition of Espresso Macchiato at the Eurovision Song Contest grand finale on Saturday night were perplexed.

The grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest has started with a bang as Estonia’s entrant, Tommy Cash, performed Espresso Macchiato. The quirky song had fans rushing to X, formerly known as Twitter, to discuss the song which they said sounded ‘like a joke that went too far’.

On Saturday night, Tommy, real name Tomas Tammemets, gave a performance in Basil, Switzerland. After winning Eesti Laul 2025 with his dance-pop hit, the 33-year-old singer was chosen to play for Estonia’s band. Although the actor has a devoted fan base and has performed since 2012, not all Eurovision viewers have heard of him.

Taking to social media, fans shared their thoughts on the song, which included a unique dance. One user said: “lol Estonia’s #Eurovision song sounds like a joke that went too far and when he wanted to stop it he was already in too deep lol.”

As a person who needs coffee, another perplexed fan wrote, “Vocally could be better, but this is one of the year’s funniest songs, artists, and performances.”

Estonia gave me what Eurovision is all about, according to one commentator, while another added, “I love the funky Eurovision songs.”

One person said, “Estonia: The ONLY correct way to order an espresso macchiato going forward.”

Graham Norton appears to have confirmed that the EBU used fake applause to drown out any boos during her time on stage following Israel’s Yuval Raphael’s power ballad New Day Will Rise.

As Yuval wrapped up, the Irish host remarked, “Not sure what you’re hearing at home, but hear Basel’s response was mixed,” in a nod to reports that Eurovision bosses were meddling with what was being shown on television across Europe.

When she performed New Day Will Rise for a rehearsal on Friday night, it is said that the competition’s bosses drowned out the booing noises.

The singing competition has been plagued by controversy over Israel’s participation in the annual event.

In light of Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Palestine, which has left Palestinians starving to death as a result of a blockade of aid, over 70 former Eurovision stars wrote a letter just last week demanding that the contest’s organizers ban Israel.

Fans expressed resentment over Israel’s performances being duped or dubbed in cheery tweets on Twitter/X.

One fan wrote, “It’s a huge issue that the EBU keeps silencing the booing and adds fake cheers to make it appear as though the audience is welcoming the country.”

The public service broadcaster EBU is supposed to “serve the public, not to silence them.”

Another fan argued, “Why do you substitute audience boos with fake applause effects and mute them?” What are your moral principles?

‘Maybe the thought of taking a penalty at Wembley was too much’

Wembley Stadium will make Erling Haaland sick, in addition.

The Norway striker chose to pass on the opportunity during Manchester City’s FA Cup final defeat against Crystal Palace on Saturday, but he did so at the national stadium.

With the ball firmly tucked under his arm and a penalty spot chance, Haaland surprised both the arena’s visitors and those watching away by kissing and handing it to Omar Marmoush, who saw his spot-kick saved by Dean Henderson.

Pep Guardiola, the city manager, said, “I thought he would want to take it, but they didn’t speak.”

“It’s the feeling and how they feel,” the sentence reads. Omar was shown to be willing to accept it by them.

Omar was pressured to make a good save because the ball was stopped frequently, which added pressure on Henderson.

Wayne Rooney, the ex-Manchester United captain, said there is no way they are giving that ball away when they are comparing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He said: “Erling Haaland is a world-class forward, but when we are talking about that, we are giving that ball away.

“These players are different from Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe,” according to the statement. They want to score every game because they are selfish.

I believe you can see it when he misses chances, and it has an impact on him.

Henderson scored the penalty, “I knew I would save it.”

In his first season in England, Haaland plagiarized 52 goals in 53 games to earn a record-breaking Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup titles.

After being defeated by Manchester United last year, he and his team now lost in back-to-back finals at Wembley.

Haaland described this season as “horrific” in an interview with BBC Sport this week, but claimed City had the chance to make amends by winning silverware against Palace.

They omitted to do so.

Haaland has scored 30 goals despite missing significant amounts of time this season due to injury, despite his unmatched goalscoring exploits since arriving on these shores.

He has now lost eight of his final eight games for City, extending his run of six games without finding the net at Wembley.

There is no way anyone is telling me, “You’re not taking a penalty today if we get a penalty,” said former England captain Alan Shearer.

You’re fit, you’re out on the pitch, and you should be game for taking the penalty, regardless of whether he’s missed three games in a row or has been out injured.

I find it hard to believe that he turned around and said, “You take the penalty because I don’t really like it.”

Former City defender Micah Richards remarked, “I know Erling Haaland’s record at Wembley is not very good, but for him not to take the penalty… he is typically so confident and haughty.”

Henderson remarked, “Haaland might have stepped up; I wasn’t sure where to go.

Man City needs to “rebuild,”

Palace hit them on the break as Eberechi Eze swept home the goal in the 16th minute, which gave City the lead in the first half, and Haaland had a hooked effort that was clawed out by the inspired Henderson.

The defeated opponents’ players waited for the opposition to lift the trophy before leaving with their heads bowed down the tunnel to show their respect for Palace.

Haaland, however, was likely to have been thinking about how this season had turned out so badly while his medal from winning the game was hurling his neck.

The striker had little to cheer about after winning the first major trophy in the club’s history, and Haaland’s neighbors celebrated Norway’s national day.

The departing Kevin de Bruyne, who had a glittering career at City, had to change his midfield for the better, while Argentine teenager Claudio Echeverri made his debut in the second half.

Richards remarked, “Manchester City has suffered a tremendous disappointment this season.

Pep Guardiola has mentioned that throughout the season. The players haven’t kept up the standards they’ve established.

“For City, we are looking at a rebuild, which everyone will be able to see, despite the fact that they did really well at times today.”

“We didn’t score, so congratulations to Crystal Palace for the victory,” Guardiola said.

We were more aggressive today. You won’t win if you can’t score goals.

Doctor Who villain the Rani returns for first time in 29 years played by Archie Panjabi

In the most recent episode of the BBC sci-fi series, Archie Panjabi made her Doctor Who debut as the renegade Time Lord.

After nearly three decades, the notorious Doctor Who villain, the Rani, returns with a dramatic comeback, playing the villain.

Anita Dobson’s portrayal of the infamous Time Lord, a role that Kate O’Mara originally brought to life in the most recent episode, which featured the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest, underwent bi-generational transformation.

Emmy Award-winner Panjabi, who first graced the BBC sci-fi saga in 1985’s ‘Mark Of The Rani’ episode, has been covertly portraying Mrs Flood, “meticulously waiting for her time to face the Doctor” as stated by the show’s producers.

52-year-old Panjabi made a comment about her new position:

Who can blame you for the Rani’s return, and it seems like there has been a lot of speculation?

Kate O’Mara’s portrayal was masterful, brutal, and unforgettable. She’s back now, under Russell T Davies, and I’ll ask: What will we bring to her from the Whoniverse? Let’s just say, you might not be ready.

The Doctor and the Rani will engage in an epic showdown that “send shockwaves through the Whoniverse,” in which both Panjabi and Dobson will appear in the two-part series finale, “Wish World” and “The Reality War.”

The show’s creator, Russell T. Davies, expressed his excitement:

“She’s back after 32 years,” said Gatwa, who always said he wanted to face the Rani.

Davies also praised the casting:

“I’ve been a fan for years, and what a joy to see her twinned with Anita Dobson,” Archie says. “It’s an honor to work with her. The Doctor faces the greatest threat in his career, and there will likely be even more villains.

The Rani last graced our screens in a 1993 BBC Children In Need special of the show titled Dimensions In Time, which saw a unique crossover between Doctor Who and EastEnders as the Doctor’s Tardis landed in Albert Square.

Wish World is set to debut on Saturday, May 24, on BBC iPlayer at 8am, while The Reality War will premiere simultaneously on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday, May 31, and will also be screened in over 450 cinemas across the UK and Ireland.

FA Cup Win ‘Special’ For Speechless Eze

Eberechi Eze, the Eagles’ hero at Crystal Palace, was speechless after scoring the winning goal to lift the FA Cup on Saturday after beating Manchester City 1-0.

Palace won their first major trophy in the club’s 119-year history with the England international’s 16-minute strike.

It is unique, I said. Eze said, “I have no idea what to say.”

“We have a team that has always been the world’s best,” he said. The 26-year-old continued, “To show that kind of spirit, that kind of energy.

Dean Henderson, the goalkeeper, was fortunate to escape an early red card for handling outside his box, so Palace had to take their chances.

City failed to make their dominance of possession count while Henderson also saved an Omar Marmoush penalty in the first half.

“I simply couldn’t breathe,” I said. They play the ball very well, Eze remarked of City’s quick start.

We are also aware that when we arrive at their box, they must make it count, and we are relieved that they made it count today.

With their first Europa League appearance, Palace will also compete in European competition for the first time next year.
