Anne Marie shows of baby bump as pregnant star puts ‘hardest year’ behind her

After last week’s confirmation that Anne-Marie was expecting her second child, the pregnant woman showed off her large baby bump.

The hitmaker, 33, is preparing to be a mum again with dad-to-be Slowthai, who she reportedly tied the knot with back in 2022. The singer posted a video of herself singing along to her song Don’t Pani as she shared her wonderful news on social media a few days ago. Captioning the shock post, she simply wrote: “Surprise”.

She already appears quite a bit in the future, and she posted a number of photos along with her growing baby bump along with it. “Call me mummy and slap my bum”, Anne Marie’s fans were quick to respond. One said: “You look gorgeous” while another said: Beautiful mummy! “.

Her incredible announcement last week came a few months after Anne-Marie declared that her year had been “the most difficult.” The Friends singer looked back on the turbulent past 12 months in a December Instagram post as she contemplated 2024.

” 2024 the most beautiful yet hardest year of our lives. God is really trying to understand my strength, haha. You all are special to me, and I love you all the more than you will ever be. You’re probably going to be sick of me because I have so much to give you in the new year. Take the best break if you can and see you soon, she wrote.

After declaring her love to Slowthai in 2023, the couple met and became parents, but it also produced more difficult circumstances. Slowthai was found not guilty of raping two fans in December 2024. He was cleared on December 16 at Oxford Crown Court after more than ten hours of deliberation. His co-accused, Alex Blake-Walker, was also cleared of one count of sexual assault.

Following a two-week trial in which it was claimed that two defendants assaulted two women in the early hours of September 8, 2021, the jury returned their verdicts. As her partner arrived at court in November, Anne-Marie stood by his side and led a stand-in for the court.

The musician cried in the dock after being cleared of three counts of rape by jurors. Judge Ian Pringle KC stated to the court that the case “had a lot of high feelings.” Relatives and friends of the accused, including Anne-Marie, sighed in relief as the verdicts were read out.

According to reports, the pair began dating in 2022, but they have a propensity to hide their relationship from public view. However, in February 2023 Slowthai spoke to Rolling Stone about how he and Anne-Marie were able to” talk and vent about stuff “together.

Last year the pair also welcomed their first child, Seven, into the world. Anne-Marie discussed the realities of being a working parent while reflecting on her decision to become a mother. Being a mother is undoubtedly the most challenging job. It’s the most challenging aspect of being a mother just by herself, in my opinion!

“We’ve been posing as peas in a pod because so many people made it seem so simple,” he said. We’re doing it. She is so beautiful and so chunky and so perfect”, she wrote on Instagram in August. Additionally, having the best summer performances has helped create beautiful new memories with you all. Cannot wait for you to see what’s coming next. “

Ukraine marks invasion’s 3rd anniversary with support mired in uncertainty

As Kyiv marks the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion, leaders from the European Union and Canada have gathered in Ukraine to show their support.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, welcomed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and other top officials on Monday to applaud the “heroism” of his nation. However, there was no representative from the United States, amid growing uncertainty over Washington’s support.

“Three years of resistance. Three years of gratitude. Three years of absolute heroism of Ukrainians”, said Zelenskyy. “I thank everyone who supports and defends it.”

Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, once more affirmed the EU’s support for Ukraine.

“In this fight for survival, it is not only the destiny of Ukraine that is at stake. It’s Europe’s destiny”, she wrote in a social media post.

On the 3rd anniversary of Russia’s brutal invasion, Europe is in Kyiv. We are in Kyiv today, because Ukraine is Europe. Not only is Ukraine’s future at stake in this survival battle. It’s Europe’s destiny.

Amid the threatened vacuum in US military support, the 27-member bloc’s leaders are scheduled to meet on March 6 for a special summit “to take decisions” on Ukraine and European defence.

A 16th package of sanctions against Russia was approved, according to a meeting of the EU’s foreign ministers on Monday.

Hungary, whose leader Viktor Orban has remained close to Vladimir Putin and has repeatedly obstructed EU support efforts, announced it will not support further sanctions.

Peter Szijjarto, the country’s foreign minister, added that his country won’t support a boost in military aid from the EU.

Competing resolutions

Donald Trump’s efforts to compel Ukraine to accept a peace treaty with Russia have led to the new confidence in Budapest.

Trump and Zelenskyy have a bitter feud with Russian media representatives, with the US leader accusing Kyiv of starting the war and questioning the legitimacy of the Ukrainian president.

As Washington and Kyiv present competing resolutions to the UN General Assembly on Monday, a showdown is anticipated at the UN’s New York headquarters.

Ukraine’s resolution, backed by European allies, demands an immediate withdrawal of Russian forces while emphasising Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity. Without making any explicit reference to Moscow’s aggression, the US proposal calls for a quick end to the conflict.

‘Unacceptable’

However, Trump’s peace plan, which appears designed to illustrate his self-appointed role as a global dealmaker, faces resistance on both sides.

Russia claimed on Monday that Russia’s attempts to “end the war” quickly are “unacceptable.”

A ceasefire without a long-term settlement “is the path to a swift resumption of fighting and a resumption of the conflict with even more serious consequences, including consequences for Russian-US relations”, Moscow’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said, according to the state-run RIA Novosti news agency.

Meanwhile, Ukraine signalled on Sunday that the break with the US might be easing.

A contentious proposal, according to Kyiv, has now been removed from the table and negotiations on a different deal are advancing.

Zelenskyy promised to resign from his position if peace was achieved, Zelenskyy said in a Kyiv forum.

‘Rangers locked in vicious cycle as Clement departs’

SNS

A year ago, almost to the week, Rangers beat St Johnstone 3-0 and hit the top of the Scottish Premiership table, a seven-point deficit against Celtic now transformed into a two-point advantage.

Under Philippe Clement, a manager who had moved to Ibrox from Belgium in October and built his reputation on league victories with two different clubs, they won their ninth game in a row.

He won the League Cup on his first occasion, but he only lost one of his first 26 games in charge of Ibrox.

The club, it seemed, had their great redeemer.

“As a group we were scrambling”, said goalkeeper Jack Butland of life before Clement. “We were running down a cul-de-sac into a dead end”.

Clement, said Butland, had changed everything, Only he had not. Off the field, the club swung like a boat on choppy waters, lacking the stability that came with him.

He had little to spare for players; excessive spending has been squandered on poor players, and downsizing has been a regular occurrence for him.

His team was flaky, inconsistent, and callow as he tried to create a young team with sell-on value in the present while remaining competitive in the past.

As Celtic vanished over the horizon and Rangers’ hair caught fire in their ferocity in search of them, there were the weaknesses in his own management, which were not immediately obvious but became more apparent as the season progressed.

He was unable to consistently overcome the low blocks of inferior teams due to his lack of players and managerial skill.

Rangers have failed to win ten games against nine different domestic sides this season, even with a small budget and a few games against Celtic.

They have never been far from disaster even when they win. The scent of fury persisted over Ibrox even when the team automatically qualified for the last 16 of the Europa League, with performances by Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United included.

You were always aware that turbulence was about to break out.

Clement, who was both large and tough in those early days, was gradually put to sleep by the pressure of attempting to steer the ship away from the dock while it was already tucked behind the harbour wall.

When Clement first encountered difficulties, his Ibrox bosses assured him that they would keep faith in him and that sacking a different manager would result in a new Immediately following this, the company’s board members at Ibrox informed him that nothing would be better than starting over.

Behind closed doors, it was made known that if Clement’s CV came to Ibrox in an unidentified form, the directors and supporters would be in awe of him.

They already had him. And at least the board was determined to keep him, or at least the majority of them.

They desired Clement to resurrect the club in order to make the dressing room more youthful and possibly valuable in the transfer market. They may not have won any awards in the past, but they will handle that.

The fans might be angry, but they will survive the maelstrom to benefit the most.

A new manager’s search leads to a new broom in the dressing room, and so it begins. Coaches moved out, coaches moved in, players exiting, others arriving, compensation, a new style of football, a fresh start. Another one.

Clement bites the dust after Saturday’s pitiful home loss to St Mirren following on from the mortifying Scottish Cup exit to Queen’s Park, which came uncomfortably soon after dropped points against Dundee, Hibernian and Motherwell, which was just three days after, well, a defeat by St Mirren.

Even those who nuancedly attacked Clement with boardroom insecurity, downsizing, poor hiring, and a mentally weak dressing room went out of the woods.

Some of the performances of recent years don’t return. Even though Clement’s failure was much more than just Clement, no manager was likely to be able to recover from those domestic losses and draws.

The debris will be picked up by the new manager. When there is no pressure and the game is open, he has a doubtful character in his dressing room, where he can deliver against stronger opponents in Europe but who also lack the strength to take on stronger opponents at home when they must win in a dogfight.

Put simply, they can’t be trusted.

Clement’s plan to attack domestic rivals who stayed up all day was problematic, but to lay the blame solely at his feet would be to give his fragile players, many of whom earned high salaries, a pass they did not deserve.

Good players can problem-solve on the hoof. The manager should handle it for the devout. There are far too many Rangers leaders and followers in the dressing room. Many of them would not want you to accompany you in the trenches.

How many of them does the new manager actually want, it remains to be seen. No regime change comes cheap.

Bello Turji Will Be Eliminated Soon – Military

Bello Turji, the leader of the notorious bandits, is being tracked and will be expelled very soon, has once more been assured by the Nigerian military.

The Chief of Defence Operations, Major General Emeka Onumajuru, disclosed this during an interview on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, The Morning Brief, on Monday.

Major General Onumajuru stated that the military is aware of Turji’s current location but that he would not go into further detail.

“First, I must inform you that Bello Turji and the military have no back and forth relationship.

As I speak, “Beto Turji is hiding, completely in hiding, and the armed forces are tracking him,” Major General Onumajuru said. “The armed forces are tracking him, and very soon he will be eliminated.”

He urged Nigerians to be patient with the Armed Forces, noting that tracking a bandit leadership may take time in some situations, but that Turji’s operation in the country’s northwest would be over.

‘ Don’t pay levy to Turji ‘

A Sokoto State legislator, Honourable Aminu Almustapha Boza, confirmed last week that Turji lived in one of the forests in the Sokoto State’s Isa Local Government Area.

In a telephone conversation with our correspondent, the lawmaker, who represents the Sabon Birni Local Government Area in the state House of Assembly, explained that Turji has been collecting taxes from the residents.

However, Major General Onumajuru has urged the people of Sokoto to call Turji’s bluff and refrain from paying the tax, assuring them of the military’s protection.

” Talking about Bello Turji imposing fines, remember I did talk about protecting vulnerable communities. Communities now need to know that the Armed Forces are protecting them, and when they think it’s just a matter of calling anyone who requests protection money or ransom money, to call bluff because the Armed Forces are there to protect you.

Major General Onumajuru remarked, “I want to urge the communities you serve now through your medium not to submit a request for protection levy in any way because we have troops who protect farms and provide space for your normal activities.”

The military has already promised to get hold of Turji, who has long tormented the North-West region.

During Channels Television’s 2024 Year-In-Review programme on December 31, 2024, Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, vowed that the Armed Forces would arrest the notorious bandits kingpin.

Gen Musa claimed that the military will only need to find the Turji, who have defrauded and kidnapped residents for a large ransom in the Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi communities.

When asked for an update on Turji, who has been on the run for a while, the CDS responded, “The update is that since he knows we’ve been after him, he has been operating underground and we are conducting operations.”

Jane Fonda ‘dazed’ in ‘toe-curling’ red carpet interview before powerful SAG speech

Award-winning actress Jane Fonda, 87, raised a few eyebrows thanks to her red carpet interview at the SAG Awards on Sunday (23.02.25).

At the star-studded event over the weekend, the Oscar winner received a Lifetime Achievement award at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. She urged people to “be brave” and “stay in community.”

She compared how Hollywood came together in the wake of McCarthyism in the late 1950s and demanded that everyone involved in the sector once more “resist successfully” the current hostile political climate.

However, before escorting her honor, Jane showed up onstage with red carpet host Lilly Singh while she was having a conversation. She appeared ‘dazed’ and ‘confused’. The actress from Monster In Law had a difficult time responding to some questions and seemed to stumble over her words at times.

Body language expert Judi James claims that Jane initially had a plan, but the award-winning actress eventually started to “frozen” up for real. “]There were] long pauses followed each question, and at times, she appeared to glare or stare at the interviewer rather than engaging in conversation”, she noted. “The tension made for a toe-curling interview”.

The Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award was presented to Jane Fonda (Getty Images).

During her acceptance speech, Jane said: “I’m a big believer in unions. They empower us, unite us, and give us power. Power is defined by community, which is crucial at this time. Workers power is being attacked and community is being weakened, but SAG-AFTRA is different to most other unions because us, the workers, we actors, we don’t manufacture anything. What we create is empathy. We must be able to affect another person’s souls by understanding them so deeply. We are aware of their motives. Their joy and pain are oboed by us.

We need a big tent to withstand the pressure that is coming our way because many people are going to be really hurt by what is happening and coming our way, and even if they are of a different political party, we must ask for our empathy, not to judge, but to listen from our hearts and welcome them into our tent.

In 1958, I made my first film because it represented the end of McCarthyism and the era of career destruction. It’s important to remember that Hollywood fought back today. Overseas, brave American producers hired blacklisted writers… Hollywood fights back on ABC Radio, which they hosted. Every major name actor in town was a member of the committee.

Have any of you ever questioned themselves about the bravery to walk the bridge while watching a documentary about one of the great movements, such as the Aartheid or Civil Rights or Stonewall? Would you have walked up to the dogs, batons, and hoses?

This is our documentary moment, and we don’t have to wonder about it any longer. And it’s not a rehearsal. This is it, and we mustn’t for a moment kid ourselves about what is happening.

” This is big time serious folks, so let’s be brave. We must not isolate, stay in community, support the vulnerable, and create inspiring future visions. One that is beckoning and welcoming. That will make people think that there will still be beauty and love on the other side. And we can swim in a vast ocean of truth. Lets make it so. “

Earlier in her speech, Jane – who was given the award by Julia Louis-Dreyfus – reflected on her” weird “career and joked she’ll be doing her” own stunts “in her 90s. She said:” This means the world to me, you can’t know. Thank you SAG-AFTRA. And your enthusiasm makes this seem, I don’t know, less like a twilight of my life and more like a ‘ go girl, kick ass — which is good because I’m not done. ‘

“I have had a really weird career, totally unstrageic. I retired for 15 years, but I then turned 65, which is unusual. In my 80s and probably in my 90s, I’ll be performing my own stunts in an action film. If you’ve ever heard the expression, “It’s okay to be a late bloomer as long as you don’t miss the flower show,” I’m a late bloomer, this is the flower show”.

Fiorentina’s Kean out of hospital after collapsing on pitch

Moise Kean, the fiorentina striker, was taken out of the hospital after collapsing on the pitch on Sunday.

The Italian international was knocked out of Hellas Verona by his side, who lost 1-0.

After colliding with defender Pawel Dawidowicz’s knee for six minutes, Kean continued to play.

The former Everton and Juventus player lost his balance in the 64th minute, falling to the floor, and being treated on the pitch in a hospital.

Following the return of diagnostic test results, Fiorentina claim the striker was discharged from a hospital in Verona “during the night.”

On February 28th, sixth-placed Fiorentina will take on Lecce, but it has not been confirmed whether Kean will be available.
