Although chaos has erupted over a family fall-out in recent months, Adam Peaty says, “I do” to Holly Ramsay at their grand Christmas Day wedding ceremony.
After months of planning and a huge family fall-out, it’s believed the Peaty family have been left in turmoil over Adam Peaty’s wedding to Holly Ramsay after being snubbed.
Caroline Peaty, Adam’s mother, has reportedly been “banned” from today’s grand wedding at Bath Abbey, leaving her completely heartbroken. The family has experienced heartache before with the wedding planning, as the Olympian’s mother was also unable to attend Holly’s hen do at the prestigious Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.
After being snubbed from the hen do, Adam’s aunt Louise snapped at Holly and Adam on social media, making the family’s feelings clear on missing out on the wedding celebrations.

I anticipated better from you and undoubtedly from Adam, Louise wrote on social media. You have inflicted a hurt on my sister that will take a very long time to heal if ever”.
Caroline did not apologize for skipping a recent family trip to Bath because trains were canceled, according to Louise, who claimed Adam, 30, and Holly, 25, had banned her from the wedding. Additionally, the gold medalist is alleged to have prohibited his mother from seeing George, her grandson. It’s now believed that Adam’s sister, Bethany, will be the only family member from his side to watch him tie the knot, as many of those invited were reportedly unable to afford the cost of accommodation and travel.

The troubling spiral of Adam
In a candid post about his “demons,” Adam characterized the year that had just passed as the “toughest” of his life.
The swimmer wrote: “I wasn’t going to say anything, but 2022 was the toughest year of my life so far. Mentally and physically, it has pushed me every day, and from injury to personal issues, it has forced me to grow. I have so much to be thankful for, such as the great team around me, but also the amazing people, such as my family and friends. My boy is happy and healthy, and that is all I can ask for; @eirimunro I couldn’t ask for a better mother for George.
” Life is never going to be easy, and it can get exhausting when you have to tell your demons to p**s off when they’re roaming around your head. I applaud the lessons of 2023. “LFG. “
Back in 2020, Adam opened up to the Mail Online about reaching his ‘ deepest low ‘ after the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which saw him take a loss in the 50m race. Adam, who is renowned for his extraordinary speed, suddenly developed self-doubt and admitted: “There wasn’t really that much belief in myself.
It was then that Adam started to spiral, turning to booze and partying instead of his great love of swimming. He claimed that I didn’t have any races after the Commonwealths, which came around the year’s end. And since it involves parties and drinking during the off-season, I was doing that a lot.
“I kind of, not went off the rails, but I didn’t really have that overwhelming motivation to perform at something. Since I perform, I completely lose my track if I don’t have anything to perform at.
Add that to all the partying and other activities, and it wasn’t very enjoyable. Then you are on this low where you can’t really enjoy anything, you don’t really see the point of buying nice things or doing nice things, because you don’t get a high out of it any more. It took me a while to realize what was and wasn’t important to me. Thankfully, I now know that. I know exactly how to treat my body, how to treat my mind, and it’s not by forcing alcohol as much as you can. “
Brotherly disagreement
Adam and his brother Jamie fell out in 2021 following the release of the former Strictly Come Dancing star’s autobiography, in which he addressed his siblings ‘” demons”, including previous drug usage. However, they quickly overcame this, and Jamie is said to have been asked to serve as the groomsman for the upcoming wedding.
Unfortunately, their relationship broke down once more in June of this year when James was assisting Adam with a building project. A source claims that since Adam’s engagement, their relationship has hit an all-time low. According to James, he was “upset” by the remarks Adam made in his autobiography, which led to his portrayal as a “bum.”
Last month, it emerged that James was arrested over allegations he sent threats to the sportsman during his stag weekend in Budapest. Adam was met by the police at Manchester Airport after the boys’ weekend, where his future father-in-law, Gordon, joined in the fun. Adam was said to have become alarmed after receiving text messages, with Holly alerting the police. James, 34, was arrested at his home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, but has since been bailed.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said at the time: “We arrested a 34-year-old man, from the Uttoxeter area, on November 11, 2025, on suspicion of harassment. The man was released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.”
Meanwhile, Adam’s dad has spoken out about the incident, saying things have gotten out of hand between the family. They’re brothers, they’ve always been close, but like any normal family, brothers fight, argue, fight, fall out, make up, and start over.
“But it’s gotten out of hand, and there’s been very little compassion for Jamie’s real mental health issues.” A source told the same newspaper that Adam believes his mother, Caroline, has been enabling Jamie’s alleged behaviour. According to them, Adam’s police greeting was “ridiculous,” as Jamie had no desire to hurt his brother.
Sad divorce
Adam had a three-year relationship with Welsh artist Eirianned Munro, whom he met while pursuing a career at Loughborough University, prior to falling in love with Holly. Eirianned, now 27, was just beginning her creative career while majoring in fine arts at the time.
Sparks flew, and Holly and Adam began dating in 2019. George, the young couple’s five-year-old son, was born the following year, and Adam frequently shares happy family photos between his rigorous training schedule.
In August 2022, Adam announced that they had decided to part ways after a “wonderful three years together”. Taking to Instagram at the time, Adam wrote: “Eiri and I have decided to go our separate ways. We have enjoyed a wonderful three years together, 2 of those with our gorgeous son George.
We’ve always wanted to give him the healthiest and happiest home environment, but we’re currently having to end our romantic relationship. I could not ask for a greater mother for George, and I am so grateful to Eiri for her amazing support over the last three years.
I apologize for letting you down, Eiri and George. My only interest is for the well-being of our family at this difficult time, so I ask that our privacy is respected, and I won’t be saying anything further”.
Opening up to The Sun on Sunday in 2024, Eirianned, who has remained on good terms with the father of her child, revealed that Adam’s time on Strictly Come Dancing marked “the beginning of the end” of their romantic relationship, remembering this as a “lonely” time.
She said, “I think it helped us realize our goals in life. Sadly, if it wasn’t for Strictly, it would’ve been something else. For the sake of our young son, I’m glad we learned that we weren’t meant for each other sooner than later.
In another interview with the Mail Online, Eirianned spoke warmly about Adam’s now-fiancée, Holly, praising her as “nothing but a positive presence in our lives”. She continued, “I couldn’t wish for a better stepmother for my son because she is so kind and gentle.” We’re delighted to hear this and wish them the best of luck.
More recently, however, a source has claimed to the Sun that Eiri, who lives in Wales with her sister and George, is “shocked” by the recent family row, and wants no part in it. According to the source, Eiri has lived with Caroline and has done an incredible job raising him, stressing that she is still close to his mother, Caroline. She is a wonderful mother. It’s a far cry from Adam’s life with Holly Ramsay, but she’s really happy.
Eiri never criticizes Adam because he has given their son so much comfort and peace. She also adores Holly a lot. But she is shocked by everything that’s been going on. “
Tragic a loss
On August 23 of this year, devoted grandmother Caroline opened up about the devastating loss of her young grandson Joshua, sharing poignant images of a set of tiny handprints and footprints. She captioned her Instagram post, “We never knew you, but we loved you even before you were born” and wrote, “Today is the first anniversary of the passing of our grandson Joshua. I held you in my arms and felt enormous love, but also a tremendous loss of what could have been.
We think of you every day, Joshua, but we can rest assured that God loves you and that we will see you again when we meet again, and that I will gather you in my arms to catch up on all the snuggles I missed.
