Can former colonial powers be held accountable for past atrocities?

Algeria’s history under French rule, according to Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, necessitated compensation.

African leaders want to see crimes committed during the colonial era recognized and down.

A legal framework, according to Algeria, would make reparations neither a favor nor a gift.

How then could former colonial powers be held accountable?

Can those atrocities’ costs be estimated?

I’m A Celebrity LIVE updates: fourth star is booted from camp as they drop huge bombshell

Kelly Brook is the latest campmate to leave the jungle, and the I’m A Celeb camp has said goodbye to another star this evening.

Ant and Dec revealed in camp tonight that Kelly had become the fourth star to be voted out of the competition. However, Kelly gave the other stars a parting gift: revealing that she had eaten the milk bottle sweets with Aitch and Ginge.

Earlier this week, Kelly, Aitch and Angry Ginge won milk bottle sweets as a treat for camp in a Dingo Dollar challenges and they decided to eat over half of them before going back to camp.

Kelly is a camper vanguard for Eddie Kadi, Alex Scott, and Vogue Williams. Vogue left in last night’s episode after butting heads with Ginge over the washing up. The Irish model refuted his claims, telling the host of the content creator that everyone has “the right” to consume from clean dishes.

I’m a celeb who watched Aitch’s Jungle Arms tribute to his sister Gracie in tears.

I’m a Celeb viewers admitted they were in tears last night after Aitch delivered an emotional tribute song about his sister.

The rapper showcased his talent during a fiery karaoke performance in the hit song “My G to Gracie” about his sibling, who is Down syndrome and is ten years younger than him. Aitch, 25, has released this tune professionally, with all the funds generated from the donated to the Down’s Syndrome Association.

He claimed that his siblings have had a significant impact on both his personal and professional life and his close relationships with Gracie and her twin sister Hattie. The song, played when the campmates won a trip to the show’s infamous pub during Tuesday’s I’m a Celebrity… Fans backed Aitch to win the competition, which won the viewers’ hearts.

I’m A Celeb star asks her to “get in touch,” and Angry Ginge shares his celebrity crush.

In an exclusive clip that aired on I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked, Angry Ginge was being interviewed by Ruby Wax – who asked who his ideal woman would be. He said, “Someone like Michelle Keegan.”

As the clip ended, hosts Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers urged Michelle to “get in touch” after Ginge’s admission. Watch out, Mark Wright!

Vicky Pattison explodes at Kelly Brook

Vicky Pattison, the former queen of the jungle, has raged about how “furious” she would be if someone had taken her sweets while she was in the jungle and criticized Kelly Brook for her recent behavior on ITV.

She said: “It’s definitely going to come out, I just don’t think there’s any chance Ant and Dec are gonna let them get away with it. I would be furious if I learned more about that.

Kelly, who has been reunited with her husband Jeremy, tears up in disbelief.

Kelly couldn’t wait to see her husband Jeremy as she dashed across the I’m A Celebrity bridge – and it proved to be an emotional reunion. When she saw her three-year husband, Kelly cried out, “I’ve missed you so much! ” “

Kelly Brook becomes the fourth star to be booted out of the jungle

Kelly Brook and Lisa Riley are the latest stars to leave the jungle following the most recent public vote.

Overjoyed to be leaving, Kelly couldn’t resist owning up to eating the milk bottle sweets with Ginge and Aitch earlier in the week – and fans weren’t impressed.

Angry Ginge admits to smuggling drugs

After being dobbed in by Vogue Williams during her exit interview last night, Angry Ginge confirmed that he brought in the controversial butter into camp.

Ginge acknowledged that he was the one who brought the prohibited item into camp despite Shona being punished for using it while speaking to the rest of the camp in the Jungle Arms.

Roman Kemp makes I’m A Celebrity complaint with savage tweet

Roman Kemp has spoken out against his father’s ongoing in-the-wildstrip activities, but he has now appeared to have taken a liking to the editing on the show.

Taking to X, Roman wrote: “My dad had an actual conversation on camera! ! ! #ImAcelebrity . ” He shared it alongside a GIF of Declan Donnelly cheering as he crosses the I’m A Celeb bridge.

Over his cooking disputes, Jack Osbourne’s wife speaks out.

Jack Osbourne’s wife Aree told that he was a control freak in the kitchen at home – so she will perhaps sympathise with Shona. Aree claims she was made to laugh the previous week because Jack had to work as a cook, and she now witnesses the same events unfold at home.

I’m A Celeb star’s family spotted ordering fast food to five-star hotel

This week, I spoke with Angry Ginge’s mother, who explained how she has been making her alarm clock at 4 am every morning for the friends and family bus to the camp. But you are not hearing much complaining, as most of them are so jet-lagged, anyway, that they are wide awake.

I’m A Celeb producers left panicking after Ruby Wax threatens to ‘sue’

The best show signing, without a doubt, was Russell Wax. And she gets another top-billing in tonight’s episode.

Producers were kept on their toes after she arrived in Australia, though. When I spoke to her before she went into the jungle, she told me that the hotel she was staying in was “trash” and that she would “sue” producers if the jungle was too much! Execs had to check in on her right away to confirm that she was joking. Phew!

Shona and Jack clash over cooking duties as she warns ‘just back off’

As Jack and Ruby influenced how she cooked, Shina became frustrated. After Jack gave his unsolicited advice, Shona said: “I could have poked Jack in the eye today. Not going to lie, some of the comments were getting on my nerves. ” “

However, when her meal turned out to be successful, he ultimately regretted his words. She jokingly told the Bush Telegraph afterwards: “They need to just back off. ” “

Ruby branded ‘dictatorial’ after tannoy turmoil

With her pal Tom Read Wilson calling her “dictatorial” in the camp, Ruby’s power seems to have lost some of its appeal.

Tonight’s episode saw Ruby call to her campmates on the tannoy to ask whether dinner was ready yet. The question is, “Are the beans ready?” Attention. The beans are ready, right? Why is everybody sleeping? Get up, folks! ” she said.

She continued, “Less chatting, more cooking,” as Angry Ginge yelled on. Come on! Kelly ! Cook some beans, somebody! ” “

Tom took the Bush Telegraph to speak about Ruby, saying that the tannoy appeared to make her “dictatorial”. Will Ruby’s nagging begin to irritate her campmates unfairly?

Eddie Kadi ‘goes AWOL’ after I’m A Celeb exit

As the celebrities leave the jungle, things have been a strangely quiet time in the friends and family hotel. Usually their campmates are there to greet them as they arrive back at the Marriott.

Eddie Kadi was unspotted yesterday as Vogue returned, while Alex Scott has returned to the UK to be with Jess Glynne, whose mother has a stroke.

I will be reporting from the foyer again later today. ITV shot the arrivals for the Coming Out program, so who will be hoping for a higher turnout today? I will keep you posted.

Eddie Kadi told hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly who he wants to win (James Gourley/ITV/Shutterstock), and the latest celebrity to leave I’m A Celebrity 2025 has said so.

In a terrifying challenge, Shina embraces her inner pirate.

Shona McGarty volunteered herself for the latest Bushtucker Trial, reaching new heights in a pirate-themed challenge.

The EastEnders star was forced to collect stars along a shaky plank, and camp received eight out of nine stars.

Sam Thompson reveals his love for Ginge.

I caught up with Sam Thompson today, who is over in Australia for the I’m A Celebrity spin-off show, Unpacked. In 2023, he was, of course, the King of the Jungle.

He told me that Angry Ginge is very much the breakout star of this year’s series. and that GK Barry, who found new fans online, was also doing it last year. “Angry Ginge is coming across so well – clearly a great guy, really funny and full of energy. He also happens to be a very nice campmate, which is a good sign, he said.

“His friendship with Aitch and Ruby is great. What a fantastic example of an original celebrity campmate who did a lot like GK last year and did really well. He’s already got a huge fan base and community back home and I think he’s won a whole host of new supporters and fans during this series. Mum is so proud of what he has done for himself and his family. ” Sam is starring on the spin-off show Unpacked all this week.

Aitch is sounded as the reason’s voice.

As washing-up-gate rumbles on, Aitch steps in to come up with a compromise after Ginge threatens to go on strike.

I believe I have been polite when I have asked people not to use mugs, and I believe my reasoning is more than justifiable. What I will say is if I see one more person eating out of a cup, I will refuse to wash up. Ginge thanked him.

When Aitch suggests that if celebrities want to use their cups, they can be used twice instead of once, the camp votes for his suggestion. Ginge expressed satisfaction with that. Aitch for PM!

Angry Ginge finally shows ‘true colours’

Angry Ginge has lived up to his name by attacking his I’m A Celebrity campmates despite only having been in town for a few weeks. The vlogger, 24, let his feelings be known in a dinner time rant in camp on Monday’s episode.

Many campmates chose to use the mugs that were readily available to consume their food, leaving plenty of room for washing as they sat down for the morning meal. Ginge was clear on his thoughts as he showed his discontent at all the dirty dishes after being handed washing up duty.

“Please don’t let us eat rice out of cups,” asks the question. ,” he moaned. However, former models Martin Kemp and Kelly, 46, didn’t take his pleas into account. Ginge hit out at being left double the work due to now needing to wash 10 cups and 10 food containers.

Molly Rainford breaks silence on EastEnders exit but drops huge hint

Molly Rainford took to Instagram to express her thoughts about her exit as her final scenes on the EastEnders aired. She reportedly suggested that her absence from the show might not be permanent.

Molly Rainford has shared how her exit from EastEnders really made her feel, and hinted that it may not be permanent. Taking to Instagram for the first time since her final scenes on the show aired, Molly told fans that it got her a “lil emosh” but that “no one goes travelling forever”.

In scenes that aired on Tuesday (2 December), Molly’s character Anna Knight embarked on a trip to South Asia and Australia in a double exit with Bobby Brazier’s Freddie Slater. Though the exit was filmed months ago, it has only just aired now, and Molly shared her goodbye to Anna on Instagram.

Molly posted a selfie to her stories, saying, “Final ep of @bbceastenders got me a lil emosh, so grateful had an absolute blast.” Additionally, she included a number of photos from throughout her appearance on the program and a final goodbye note in the title.

Your girl Anna Knight wrote, “[Ashley is off to]Australian flag emoji].” “I can’t express how wonderful the last few years at @bbceastenders have been.

Anna has had difficult conversations about race and her mother’s return from the dead, laughed, cried, worked, and lived in the Vic (still surreal), and was in a relationship with someone she had a crush on. She needs a break from Walford, so why.

She continued, “She was going to miss the cast, and that being on the show is really a family.” The cast and crew are truly exceptional, and it is truly a family. Every day, I’ll miss working alongside them. particularly the lovely Knights, Beales, and Peacock/Carters. “Couldn’t have asked for better people to learn from and laugh at day in and day out.

“I want to thank everyone so much for all the love and support, it means the absolute world,” she added. “I have so many lovely memories from Albert Square, here’s a handful of the highlights.” Finally, she teased that Anna and Freddie may return to the Square at some point. “And lets be honest, no one goes travelling forever.”

Anna tried to persuade her sister Gina (Francesca Henry) and father George (Colin Salmon) to forgive Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) for implicating Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) in the drug dealings taking place in Walford on her final day on the Square. She begged them to give him another chance because she was aware of Kojo’s missing friend and Gina’s still-emotional feelings for him.

Anna’s exit is one of the few happy ones to take place on the show. Molly herself is set to get her own happy ending as she will soon be marrying her fiance Tyler West. The actress met the DJ when they both competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022.

Recently, she and Tyler squared off on Celebrity Race Across the World. Roman Kemp and his sister Harleymoon were also present. Martin Kemp, the pair’s father, is currently a guest on I’m a Celeb.

Report finds widespread police failings over UK’s Hillsborough disaster

Prior to and following the deadly Hillsborough football stadium crush, which resulted in the deaths of 97 Liverpool supporters in northern England in 1989, a major investigation has revealed that there were widespread police misconduct.

The UK’s police watchdog came to the conclusion on Tuesday that 12 police officers would have faced charges for gross misconduct in the country’s worst sporting tragedy after an investigation that started in 2012.

They have all retired, so no one can take any action against them, and the victims’ families claim justice has never been served.

The families’ lead attorney, Nicola Brook, stated that “not a single officer will face a disciplinary action.” She continued, “No one will be held accountable.”

Margaret Aspinall, a long-time advocate for the victims of the 18-year-old son James’ murder that day, expressed her outrage and said the 12 officers had the right to leave “walk away scot free with a full pension.”

Charlotte Hennessy, who lost her father Jimmy in the crush, reacted similarly to her complaint that she and the others “never get justice.”

On April 15, 1989, 2, 000 Liverpool supporters were permitted to enter a standing-only area behind one of the goals at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield.

As a result of the subsequent crush, almost 100 people died as a result of their team’s FA Cup semifinal encounters with Nottingham Forest fans who were trampled or caught against metal fences.

Initial inquests initially discredited the police’s claim that the incident was caused by drunken supporters, but subsequent inquests disproven this theory.

The fans were “unlawfully killed,” according to a later independent investigation from 2016 who claimed police had opened an exit gate accidentally before kickoff.

South Yorkshire Police admitted that their game policing had “catastrophically wrong” in 2023.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) reported that it had “found additional evidence” that would give a more “detailed understanding” of what transpired at the stadium.

The IOPC conducted 352 complaints about police actions, of which 92 were upheld or would have required individuals to explain their actions.

Additionally, it criticized a Hillsborough tragedy review conducted by West Midlands Police as being biased in favor of their police colleagues.

No police officer has ever been found guilty of manslaughter in connection with the tragedy, with the match’s lead officer, David Duckenfield, who was acquitted in 2019.

According to the victims’ families, Norman Bettison, one of the 12 named officers who later rose to the position of head of Merseyside Police, should not be knighted.

Hillsborough, according to British Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, is a “stain on our nation’s history” that “today serves as a stark reminder of one of the most significant failings in policing the country has ever seen.”

The UK parliament is currently considering a new law known as the “Hillsborough Law,” which would make public officials, including police, legally required to be honest.

This was of “no consolation” for the victims’ families, according to Brook, the lead attorney.
