‘I am a leader, not a boss’ – Celtic’s Nancy

After leaving as manager, Wilfried Nancy first and foremost has become a “leader” at Celtic.

After replacing Brendan Rodgers, who resigned in October, the Frenchman has agreed to stay in the country until 2028. Eight games were in charge until Martin O’Neill took over.

The manager will take over for the first time on Sunday at home to Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts, according to an “excited” Nancy who said “it’s been a little while.”

Nancy told Celtic TV, “The brand of Celtic really fits me.”

Nancy spent time at Montreal’s academy before becoming the head coach of the Columbus Crew. He won the MLS Cup and Leagues Cup with the Montreal team, as well as the Canadian Championship.

He claims that Kwame Ampadu, a long-term assistant, will “challenge” and “support” Celtic’s players, and that he is “wise, for me this is so important.”

And Nancy said he would prefer “nuances” over “major changes” because she is “confident” he will be able to convey his style to the current champions.

He explained that “my play is about how I live.” I enjoy being creative in my life and discovering new things. I enjoy trying new things.

Football is all about player-player relationships. We don’t play golf or tennis. Nonverbal communication is what we need, as I like to call it. We must run as a team to score goals, and we must run as a team to defend the goal.

The ball should be handled by us. I want to play football responsibly. I want to use the box to sway the opposition so they can move more quickly. We must unite and be resilient when we face challenging situations.

We are all “wishing to win.” When confronted with problems, we must prepare ourselves to find solutions.

Under O’Neill, who returned to the Celtic dugout after 20 years, Nancy cited the “joy and confidence of the players.”

“Nancy said, “I just met Martin.” Evidently, I didn’t personally know him. I had a really good discussion with him about some things and we exchanged some information because we knew him as a coach. It was simple as that.

Stranger Things star releases Christmas single as season 5 breaks records

The NeverEnding Story, one of the standout tracks in the Netflix sci-fi drama Stranger Things, is now available on Singing Limahl’s Christmas single.

Limahl, the Wigan native who was previously frontman of 80s hitmakers Kajagoogoo, has re-released his only Christmas song, One Wish For Christmas. It marks his first musical release in over five years and a reimagining of the 70s classic ‘A Horse With No Name’.

The 63-year-old enjoyed a successful solo career beyond the 80s thanks in large part to the enormous success of the title track to the 1984 film, The NeverEnding Story.

The classic family adventure film grossed $100 million in the States- and was then given a whole new lease of life in 2019, when it was used in season three of Stranger Things.

The NeverEnding Story scene in Stranger Things broke records with the new episodes of the sci-fi series achieving 59.6m views in the first five days of release. Fans will be aware that the scene appeared in the Season 3 finale, during the high-stakes episode, The Battle of Starcourt as the main characters attempted to close the gate to the Upside Down.

Following a complete shock and exasperation of the other characters, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) performed a heartfelt duet of the song in a split-screen scene.

Limahl said previously, “The songs have got their own life now, and occasionally nice things happen like NeverEnding Story popping up in the third season of Stranger Things.

“That was absolutely brilliant, and I loved what they did with it. My song, Too Shy, has been used in a lot of things as well, including the Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer.”

Limahl (real name Christopher Hamill) also appeared as a late entry on I’m A Celebrity in 2012, when he famously struggled with the jungle environment – especially keeping his trademark spiky hair en pointe.

Discussing his new single, the star said he grew up with ‘very little money’ but tells the Mirror that Christmas was always magical for him. “Growing up in Wigan with two older brothers and a younger sister, Christmas was pure magic.

“We’d deck the halls,” we joked, “manchmal a little too enthusiastically!” and we’d be begging for “official present-unwrapping clearance” at some odious hour when we woke up at Christmas morning.

We certainly made plenty of those memories, and the chorus line of my song perfectly sums it up: “December is that time of year, where memories become souvenirs.”

The singer also appeared on this year’s Comic Relief for the BBC performing Too Shy’ live, to help raise £34m to help combat poverty in the U.K. and around the world.

The release date for One Wish For Christmas (Christopher Music) is now.

Freddy Brazier sends heartbreaking message to mum, Jade Goody, as he prepares to become a dad

As he counts down the birth of his first child with ex-girlfriend Holly Swinburn, Freddy Brazier pays a beautiful yet heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Jade Goody.

Freddy Brazier has paid a heartbreaking tribute to his late mum Jade Goody as he prepares to become a father for the first time.

The 21-year-old model and TV personality – who recently appeared on the BBC’s Race Across The World with his TV presenter dad Jeff Brazier – shared a throwback photo of himself as a child to Instagram with the caption: “Wish I could go back to this age and have my mum back with a finger click.”

Tragically his mum Jade, who shot to fame on the original version of Channel 4 reality series Big Brother, died from cervical cancer on March 22, 2009 at the age of just 27. At the time of her death she had broken up with his dad Jeff and was in a relationship with Jack Tweed, who she married shortly before she passed away.

She left behind Freddy, who was four at the time, and his older brother Bobby Brazier, who was five. Bobby, now 22, has also had a modelling and TV career, starring as Freddie Slater in EastEnders and on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023 where he came runner up with partner Dianne Buswell.

Freddy even claimed he would name his baby after her if she is a girl, despite the fact that both of Jade’s sons have spoken out about missing her. If it’s a girl name, Jade would be a good name, he said, referring to my mother. But I also have some creative and lovely name suggestions.

The baby is due in April of next year, which is very exciting and I’m eager to become a father. I want the baby to love its life, and I’m very happy.

Holly Swinburn, 22, is Freddy’s girlfriend, and they are expecting a child. After he reached out to her on TikTok at the beginning of the summer, their relationship seemed to have developed naturally.

But the romance moved fast, with Freddy moving into Holly’s East London home and the couple even adopting a Pocket Bully dog named Pablo. And byAugust, Holly discovered she was pregnant.

However, it is reported that Freddy and her dog have since been separated over alleged behavior, including drug use, partying with other girls, and taking a planned holiday away from their dog.

She responded, “He]Freddy] sent me a picture of five people, including two girls, at 3 a.m..” He claimed to have been marijuana-smoked in my apartment with them… I made the decision to permanently end it. I’m not sure if he can change, but enough is enough.

Holly struggled to get past the alleged lies despite Holly claiming Freddy showed ” signs of caring throughout her pregnancy, including” attending baby scans.”

Qalqilya targeted as Israel escalates raids in northern West Bank

With fresh assaults on the town of Qalqilya, Israeli forces have increased their attacks across the northern occupied West Bank.

At dawn on Thursday morning, the Israeli military stormed Qalqilya’s eastern entrance before sending soldiers through several neighborhoods and erecting what local media outlets call a tight cordon around one, Kafr Saba.

Israeli forces reportedly raided a number of homes in the area, including some that were owned by Palestinians who had been detained or killed by Israeli forces, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. Muhammad Barahmeh’s family was one of the houses that were raided, and Israeli forces shot and killed him last year.

According to Wafa, the military also used a house as a makeshift interrogation location, posing questions on several young men there. According to Palestinian reports, 11 Palestinians were detained in Qalqilya as a result of similar raids on Thursday in Ramallah, Hebron, Jenin, and Nablus, in addition to at least two others.

Following the launch of a new Israeli military operation, violence has erupted in several towns in the northern West Bank over the past week. In Tubas and Tammun, the offensive started in late November, with later expansion to Qabatiya and Masliya, resulting in extensive arrests, curfews, and significant damage to local infrastructure.

Palestinian fighters’ arrest, according to the Israeli army, is the aim of its operations in the occupied West Bank. Since starting its genocidal war in Gaza in October 2023, Israel has carried out nearly daily raids in the area since 2022. Tens of thousands of Palestinians have been forced to leave their homes as a result of the raids, which have made daily life in the West Bank more difficult.

Annexation dreams come true

Local Palestinian sources claim that the recent uptick in violence in the northern West Bank is primarily aimed at imposing “new realities” in the region that runs along the West Bank’s border with Jordan, including Tubas Governor Ahmed Asaad.

In order to strengthen Israel’s hold on the occupied West Bank, senior Israeli politicians are still pushing for an expansion of illegal settlements, particularly in the Jordan Valley, which would lead to an annexation of the area. In the present, Israeli settlement expansion effectively renders a Palestinian state impossible.

Right-wing settler groups that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been accused of supporting and relying on to sustain his coalition and his political survival are a particular focus of the annexing of the West Bank. Bezalel Smotrich, the far-right finance minister, quietly seized much of the authority that had been given to him in the territory in June 2024, adding that he himself lives in an illegal settlement.

In response to a non-binding UN resolution in September that recommended a two-state solution, Smotrich wrote on social media that Israel must assert its sovereignty over the West Bank as a preventative measure against the reckless attempt to establish a terror state in our nation.

Since the start of the Gaza War, Israeli forces and settler groups have increased their attacks, according to international observers and right-wing organizations. More than 1, 000 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 10,000 have been injured across the occupied West Bank as a result of attacks by the Israeli military, settler groups, or combinations thereof, according to UN figures.
