Meghan Markle blasted for her ‘hypocrisy’ as her father is rushed to hospital

In today’s newspaper column, Meghan Markle is criticized for her “hypocrisy,” whose estranged father Thomas Markle senior has undergone hospital surgery.

Meghan Markle has been slammed for the treatment of her father after he was rushed to hospital.

Thomas Markle senior, 81, is now “stable” albeit still in intensive care following a three-hour operation. He was dashed to hospital after an emergency at home on the island of Cebu, more than 7,000 miles away from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in Montecito, California.

Despite Thomas’ health concerns, it is believed that the Duchess of Sussex has not spoken to him. Although Meghan, 44, has received harsh criticism in one newspaper opinion column today, there are still divided opinions regarding this. The Sussexes have treated Mr. Markle like an embarrassing sack of family trash that has been exiled, banished, cancelled, and snubbed for seven long years, according to Jan Moir, an experienced columnist.

She has shown no compassion over the past few years, not even one drop, as her father has experienced a series of health issues, including a massive stroke that occurred in 2022 and two heart attacks that occurred on the eve of her wedding.

And, in her lengthy piece, Ms Moir noted Meghan’s “hypocrisy” — an alleged trait for which she and Harry have faced scrutiny before on other issues, such as climate change and most recently her insistence on being introduced by her royal title that she previously wanted to avoid.

Writing for the Daily Mail, the journalist added: “She makes treats and cosy memories for loved ones while simpering about warmth, love, friendship and family.

“On the Netflix set, an eager crew of celebrities and ‘new friends’ – ie total strangers – have gathered to grease up the old Duch as if she were a fattened goose and the onscreen mood is very come-let-us-adore-her, oh Christ, the lard… It’s not the hypocrisy that gets me, it is the pity of it all.”

Thomas Sr and Meghan’s relationship broke down and the pair became estranged in 2018, after Meghan married Prince Harry. The pensioner has been living in a £500-a-month high-rise flat in the island of Cebu since earlier this year.

US grand jury declines to re-charge New York Attorney General Letitia James

After a judge previously rejected charges brought against the prominent critic of US President Donald Trump, a federal grand jury rejected prosecutors’ attempt to bring a criminal case against New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Following her office’s unsuccessful prosecution of James and his family business, the Department of Justice’s second attempted prosecution of the elected Democrat against whom Trump had vowed retribution.

After concluding that Lindsey Halligan, the federal prosecutor who secured the indictment, was a liar, US District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie dismissed the case against James in November.

James has argued that her blatant political bent is at play in the prosecution efforts. She once more called for the “unchecked weaponization of our justice system to stop,” and she once more said the accusations against her were “baseless.”

Any attempt to carry on the case, according to her attorney, Abbe Lowell, would be “a shocking assault on the rule of law and a devastating blow to the integrity of our justice system.”

According to Lowell, the grand jury’s decision to re-indict Attorney General James is a wry reject of a case that ought to have never existed in the first place.

Federal prosecutors are still reportedly planning to seek a new indictment against James despite the grand jury’s verdict, according to two unnamed sources with knowledge of the situation, according to the Reuters news agency.

Vows of repentance

A judge in 2024 ordered Trump to pay a $450m fine after James’ office discovered he had defrauded lenders by falsely claiming his net worth.

In August, a judge’s conviction that Trump had been held legally responsible for fraud was upheld by a New York state appeals court.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that the case was a part of a “witch-hunt” against him that included four criminal cases that have since been dropped after winning his first term.

Along with former FBI Director James Comey and former Trump national security adviser John Bolton, James is one of three well-known Trump critics who have been charged with federal criminal activity in recent months.

Judge Currie also dismissed a case brought by Comey, who led investigations into alleged collusion between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia, citing the same unlawful appointment that Halligan received.

Katie Price must stick to strict condition in order to keep custody of her children

After their bitter divorce in 2009, Katie Price and Peter Andre have two children together. Harvey and Katie also have three other children.

Katie Price is delighted to have her children living with her again at her new rented home — but she must stick to a tough condition.

Friends reportedly told the TV personality to halt sharing images and videos of Harvey, Junior, Princess, Jett, and Bunny in order to keep them in her care. However, according to Katie, 47, “finds it hard” to stop doing this because she has done it frequently throughout their lives.

But the former model is ready to spend Christmas with her youngest children, having had an empty nest for some time. One friend said: “Katie is thrilled to have them back living with her full-time. But she has made a vow that she will not be sharing any pictures of them online. She wants to do the best she can for them and if that means keeping their home life private then so be it.”

Katie was not invited to Princess’ 18th birthday party in the summer, which reopened old wounds between the former model and the teen’s dad, Peter Andre. Katie also shares Junior with singer Peter, who she divorced in 2009 after a four-year marriage.

The TV personality, who is based in Brighton, East Sussex, has also made a promise to refrain from using social media. She continued, “She had been told by those around her that they needed some privacy, and that’s what Katie finds difficult. She had been told by those around her.”

She makes sure her youngest children are happy and at ease by making sure they are both content and content during Christmas. They’ve had a difficult few years.

She’s pleased that she’s back after these awkward times. After all, they spent a lot of their early years on magazine covers, so it will be a little unsettling to not share them online.

While Katie’s eldest son Harvey, 23, who is severely disabled, spends most of his time in a care home, it is reported that Princess and Junior, 20, both moved in with their father Peter a few years ago.

The Daily Mail says that, until the arrest of Katie’s ex-husband Kieran Hayler, 38, Katie had limited access to her youngest children after she breached a restraining order taken out against her by his fiancée Michelle Penticost.

After kicking abuse at her and another woman in a school playground, Katie, who gained notoriety in the late 1990s for her glamour modeling work, was prohibited from contacting Ms. Penticost directly or indirectly in June 2019.
